PERSONALITY Itsu is a young woman who is known to be a kind, caring soul. She has very little to no mean bone in her body and actually shows herself to be fairly sweet towards others and shows a fair bit of compassion even to total strangers, holding to the principle of treating others how you want to be treated. She does not think everyone is evil or that people are not totally devoid of some good inside them, only that they choose their darker sides because it comes easier to them. A philosophy many scoff at but that Itsu chooses to ignore. But, Itsu is not a woman who will sit idle or allow someone to speak for her. She is actually quite out-going to the point of being a social butterfly (or bird in this case) and is quite vocal. In fact, Itsu likes to make sure she makes her thoughts and opinions known, despite someone who might otherwise tell her to keep her mouth shut. Getting in her two cents is something that often concerns Itsu and she will not allow someone to silence her forever. Itsu is in fact a very stubborn, determined woman who is not above putting herself in the line of a fight, argument, or other dire situations and will defend her beliefs or point of view no matter if someone disagrees, which has sometimes gotten her into trouble. Though, that does not mean Itsu doesn't face some negative emotions. She does get angry and upset sometimes, but normally tries to keep these to herself using a front. Things will rub her the wrong way and she will sometimes be quite short with people in her tone and how she speaks, the only real indication she is angry. But if pressed far enough, she will not be afraid to make her rage known or she gives someone the cold shoulder, and on rare occasions does hold a grudge. Otherwise, she is quite friendly and laid back, someone being easy to get along with. HISTORY Itsu's life seemed to start out rather simple. She was born in a small town somewhere in Kansas, the family making their home on her father's family's horse ranch here in one of the Great Plains states. Her father was a retired SHIELD agent who decided after ten years in the agency to retire early for his family when Itsu was three and her mother worked at one of the local shops, mainly doing accounting and cashiering. For much of her earlier life, Itsu had a rather seemingly normal childhood, being raised by both parents to help around the ranch or at her mother's work and having a handful of friends and going to school. Being normal probably was the best way to describe her family. But, things began to change when the young girl was roughly eight years old, beginning to have severe back issues and having occasional eye pain. The cause was at first unknown and for the doctors was thought to be growing pains or possible physical disabilities beginning to form. This scared her family greatly, causing her father to call in a favor from SHEILD, having her blood tested for issues but continuing to try and live life as normal as possible. Determined to not let these issues hold her back, Itsu became more involved in extra activities such as horse racing or riding, combat training with her father, and singing. Of them, Itsu was most interested in singing and spent much of her free time practicing her vocals, pitch, and delivery of performances. But, her voice began to face issues as she got older as well and her pain physically seemed to increase as she aged. But, her father's old colleagues were able to determine that she had an active X-gene, possibly being the cause of her constant pain, Discovering this, her parents more closely watched their daughter, being mindful of ways to help lessen the pain over the years as she tried to continue life. When she was roughly about fourteen, Itsu decided to enter her town's annual Talent Show at the carnival that was going on they held every summer. With the band playing Itsu stepped out on stage, feeling nervous and excited all at once for her first real performance, going through some exercises before hand to ensure her weird vocal problem wasn't an issue. When the crowd began to seem to brim with energy, Itsu's excitement and confidence skyrocketed which ultimately triggered a reaction with her wings fully extending for the first time. The experience left her in severe pain and collapsing from shock and blood loss, resulting in her parents taking her home. The four following years, everything changed from Itsu. Some people were fascinated by her feathery wings and the full extent of her change. She often found herself training alone, kindly declining to come to the Jean Grey School when she was discovered and decided to remain in a place she felt find and safe. Her life still had a normal routine, but at the same time she enjoyed the additional use of flight to get around or to get things done. But, this also drew some negative activity within and outside of town in the neighboring counties, mutant haters secretly targeting her, among others in the area, for a mutant protest. Just before her senior year of school was fixing to end, Itsu was nabbed just before she was to arrive at graduation. On that same day, she was partially drugged so she could be easier to handle and was one of five mutants who was made an example off by the permanent removal of her wings. This left Itsu in utter pain followed by a feeling of loss and depression, as like some mutants her powers had become a large part of who she was, the trauma for a time causing Itsu to become quiet and keep to herself. She went to college online for her first two years before once more her father pulled some strings, getting Itsu into the Junior Agents training for SHIELD which peaked her curiosity and she agreed to go, just to see what things were like. She arrived three years ago at SHIELD, being given a new lease on life when they were able to perform a unique surgery to replace her amputated wings. When she discovered the full extent of what she could do with this new technology, Itsu seemed to brighten for the first time in two years, gladly joining SHIELD as a debt to repay and out of gratitude for their help. Her training has been rough and she has had to push herself beyond some limits while overcoming the loss of her true wings, but nevertheless, she has been recently promoted to a level 1 agent.Although, deep down a part of Itsu is still struggling with some depression, which she tries to hide. Powers Avian Physiology: Itsu was born a mutant with the characteristics of a bird. This includes hollow bones that allow her to have great lift and an extremely fast metabolism that leaves her with little to no fat on her body. She has a far greater lung capacity than a normal human and is capable of handling high, low air pressure altitudes for longer periods of time for up to a maximum of 10,000 feet. Her sight is also beyond the normal human limit, being able to notice things most humans cannot and having greater clarity of sight. There is also evidence that Itsu once had natural wings that manifested but were cruelly amputated by a mutant hating group. +Superhuman Strength: Like many flying mutants, Itsu is gifted with greater strength than a woman her age and height, being more than capable of lifting over 5 tons without strain. +Superhuman Agility: Itsu's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are above the finest human athlete, being for more limber, flexible, and agile, especially in the air where she is also far more maneuverable. *Sonic Scream: Itsu also is able create a sonic scream. She is able to adjust the frequency and pitch by consciously controlling her vocal cords, the levels ranging from harmless to deafening, being able to break through rock, stone, and glass or even weakening metals. Technological Spinal Implants with Repulsor Energy: Courtesy of SHIELD, Itsu has alien technology implants along the upper part of her spine that are visible on the surface as small, metallic curves along the spinal cord. These curved metal implants are connected beneath the skin directly through the spinal column and some connecting to metal strips that cover what remains of the bones that once made up her wings. Inside, bright blue energy can be seen which is repulsor energy that powers the Ironman suits which is manipulated psionically through connections to her brain. This specialized technology has a network that responds to the neural reactions of the brain to activate bright blue energy wings that resemble four translucent, thin angel wings that move like fire at the edges and grant her flight capabilities with their shape and density manipulated to a limited degree, giving her both offensive and defensive use of the wings.
