Arno Isaac Carbonell (nee Stark)
PERSONALITY Overall, Arno is not exactly what you would expect from someone who has some associations to HYDRA, or any villainous organization. Arno as a whole is a very compassionate, open minded individual that is a far cry from being viewed as evil. He was raised by staff at the hospital he lived in for much of his childhood to be very kind towards others and to give others a chance, to be very polite, and mindful of his thoughts and opinions. Of course, he is human and will have his own thoughts and feelings about a matter but is far more restrained in speaking them or tries to be subtle about handling situations. He has learned that independence, patience, and a little kindness can in fact go a long way and what has helped him succeed in life thus far. But, Arno has also learned that one cannot entirely take the world in a kindly view as he was led to believe. He knows he has to play a game or show some caution in how he treats a situation, having more than seen some outbursts from hospital staff, other patients, and his newest benefactor HYDRA. He will play up the role of being an apathetic person who shows little care or concern for what happens to others or the harm he causes and sometimes he will pull out a harsh, more critical side when the situation calls for it. These are sides he does not particularly favor but has come to serve him well to be able to handle the rougher aspects of life. Arno has even shown to play the sly, smooth talker, having something of a silver tongue to spin lies and deceit or play up something in his favor. Most of all, Arno is just a curious intellect, eager to help humanity and find better ways to serve a purpose rather than lie in a hospital bed watching the world pass him by. He seems to think differently than most, viewing the world as a large, ever expanding algorithm that needs to be constantly modified. He loves to dwell into the unusual and unknown. expressing a great deal of optimism and eagerness when given a new project or discovering something he has never known. Thus, he becomes somewhat obsessed to discover more about that subject and shares his younger brother's workaholic tendencies when in such a mood. HISTORY Arno Stark is the oldest son of Howard and Maria Stark, albeit his existence has been kept secret save for a handful of people who know the truth. When in vitro, Arno was rather healthy but his mother faced some complications that threatened her life and that of her child to the point his health was at risk. In fact, he was found to almost be in a state of not surviving, forcing Howard to seek help across the world and coming across an alien known as Rollo, a member of an alien race called the Greys. With an unspecified promise made between them, Rollo began helping to genetically modify the unborn Arno using something called the Rigellian Recorder 451, granting him a kind of intelligence that was beyond normal human capacity. But not trusting their plans, Howard used a biococktail to prevent a killswitch. Unfortunately, the biococktail and genetic modification caused Arno, initially born healthy, to suddenly degenerate and it was found he could not live without medical assistance. Fearing reprimand from 451 and Rollo, the Starks decided to have Arno watched over by some staff for a foundation they supported and would later have another son just in case. Thus, Arno grew up in a hospital most of his young life, hearing stories of his parents, his father's inventing exploits, and being cared for by the staff that became like surrogate parents. But, Arno's curiousness and intellect soon began to show and he seemed to express his father's interest in tinkering with things. He was often given objects to take apart and reassemble in between his times of resting or studying, having a need to be on a kind of life support system due to a severely weak immune system and weak muscles. Throughout these years, he interacted with patients young and old, made friends, and began inventing his own items, even legs bracers to help him walk somewhat and modifying machine to be more mobile when he wanted exercise. These items became more sophisticated as he got older, but he drew some inspiration from his younger brother's actions, save for the weapons deals at first. He felt bad that Tony did not know of his existence but at the same time was aware it was for the best. But, by the time he was reaching adulthood, he was becoming more determined to become something more than just a part-time electrician, IT guy, and teacher. He began researching things, looking into how he could make a bigger impact and was able to find inspiration in exoskeletons to create his own from spare parts and scraps pieces. This allowed him to create his first life support system and partial body suit to move about, leaving the home of his childhood and moving out to Los Angeles, starting up a small business with the money left for him and buying an office building, calling it Carbonell Incorporated, handling the technology sales and more there. He began making business partners and making greater improvements on electrical concerns, improving technological advancements in local counties, and sense of security. Still, Arno was not satisfied. He wanted to be better, to make a greater impact, and at the age of 28 drew inspiration once more from Tony of this time: to make his own Ironman suit. But, he wanted to make his own unique armor, leading him to hack into several government organizations before he came across research on the Symbiotes. He spent a good two years studying the structure and cells of the Symbiote species, cracking some of the code to integrate in the armor he had started and making it to the point of being biological, liquid metal. These modifications became well above anything he had ever done, using his unique view of the world and his genius to create the Endo-Syn armor that became both a way to bond to his skeleton that allowed him to walk, acted as his internal life support, and became his costumed identity of Iron Guardian in the West Coast. Yet, this activity did not go unnoticed as one of his so called business partners learned of this, making contact with HYDRA who observed Arno in action for three years before approaching him to serve as his main benefactor for his company and the money he needed to make necessary improvements. But in return, they sought for his aid in improving their own devices, something that left a bad taste in Arno's mouth but saw little choice since he needed the support. Thus, the past two years has been mainly street crime and below the radar break downs of crime syndicates while working as one of HYDRA's technological technicians. It is not something Arno is particularly proud of but hopes that maybe he can change the course of HYDRA or use this time to his advantage. Powers Super-Genius Class Intelligence: While still in the womb, Arno was genetically modified by the Rigellian Recorder 451 to have intelligence beyond the normal human limits, allowing him to view the world very differently. He has a more practical view of the world and thinks of things on a different process level than most, even with his younger brother Tony himself. Endo-Sym Armor: This Ironman inspired armor is an invention of Arno's that is made using an unknown metal alloy mixed with the genetic code of the symbiote species. Having been able to get a sample, Arno made extensive modifications and experiments on the metal to allow to work to his mental and verbal commands. The armor is bonded to his biological structure, being bonded to his body that gives life support and allows him to walk and function while also being able to come right up to cover his body but still perform the life support functions. Like the Ironman armor, Arno has integrate the basic concerns such as stability, navigation, and support, and having several major functions. The AI is named Alkhema and he is able to manipulate the liquid metal at will much like a Symbiote to ensnare others, send the suit to protect someone, or as extra appendages while the suit is powered by the repulsor energy Tony has in his armors. +Computer Interfacing: Arno is able to manually and wirelessly connect into computers and other technology that allows him to break into cybernetic systems, take over a network, or take control of the machine in question. He can do this by extending liquid metal cables to plug into the system or using his Alkhema AI to do it wirelessly. +Repulsor Rays: In his hands, Arno can fire super heated energy rays that can easily break through strong metals, brick, stone, and tear through trees with relative ease. The energy powering the suit is more than capable of overpowering even most energy absorbing users or systems. +Uni-beam: The uni-beam is a more powerful repulsor blast concentrated in the chest, serving the same purpose but with much more devastating force than the repulsors. But, Arno has made a modification that allows him to channel the energy to the hands as well to add further insult to injury, but at the cost of causing a massive energy drain. +Arm Tasers: In his arms, Arno has small generators that generate high levels of voltage that allow him to make these limbs electrified and can be used to send a painful shock or temporarily paralyze someone. +Multiple Missiles: In several compartments across the armor, Arno has several mini-missiles stored away in which he can call upon from the shoulders, sides, arms, and legs. These can be called individually or released in a single burst, allowing for a reload of three times before the missiles run out and must be replaced. +Multi-Spectrum Sight/Radio Frequency Detection: Arno's armor allows him to see in the UV, infrared, and all other spectrums, giving him a way to see heat or cold spots, unusual energy wavelengths, night vision, and many others. He can also pick up on different types of frequencies if they are not encrypted and those that are require him and Alkhema to decipher them. +Super Durability/Strength: The armor is exceptionally durable, being able to take quite a fair bit of damage and allows him to go toe-to-toe with superhumanly strong individuals, though he does feel mild discomfort each time. His strength is also enhanced to be able to lift 25 tons since the armor is created to give his body some greater physical prowess. +Flight Capabilities: Built into the armor are thrusters in the boots of the armor, in his upper back, and in his arms, some of which can give him greater momentum in punches or kicks and give short bursts of speed. He also has anti-gravity converters that allow him to hover in place and consume less energy, though these are for only hovering or short distance flights. +Sonokinetic Immunity: Arno has made a change to the armor to withstand the weakness of sound so common to symbiotes, preventing sound attacks from disrupting the skeletal structure or its shape.
