"Finally today is Friday and that means that I'm not doing business work and I have a day to myself." Tony said as he shuffled some papers into a bit of order as he piled them on the desk. They were ready to be scanned and filed by Jarvis as they had some blue prints on some possible new ideas on inventions. Since this world had been doing so nicely for a change, Tony didn't seem all that worried about Ultron or any villains just yet, but he knew in the back of his mind it was possible that one or two might show their ugly faces.
"Sir there is someone at the door of the Avengers tower, why don't you go take a look?" Jarvis asked, the AI had been built several years back, well technically it was Jarvis 2.0 since Ultron destroyed and corrupted the other one. After Tony stepped away from his office desk he began to head down stairs. It was clear at first, Tony had been rather reluctant at joining the Avengers for certain events may come his way, like repeating the past. Tony descended down in the elevator and onto the first floor. Today had its usual business as they had tours of the Avengers Tower every hour they let in many new guests and viewers to marvel at their favorite super heroes. Though they weren't allowed up o the higher up floors so some of the members there could at least have some peace and privacy.
"Who is this person exactly? Why do they need me, Jarvis?" Tony asked Jarvis.
"I'm not sure myself, all I know is that the person is a young woman and has the last name Barton." Jarvis explained.
That was when Tony stopped as he made the recognition. Was it one of Barton's kids? "I think I know who it might be, Jarvis." Tony admitted. Though he had never met one of Barton's kids, this would be a first. Clint had always tried to keep them safe, and he didn't blame him for acting that way. Being a super hero and a SHIELD agent was dirty and dangerous work. Though Tony just wondered what it'd be like if he had any kids with Jamie, things would certainly be interesting. However right now they were focusing slowly on their wedding and getting that prepared. They gave themselves a couple of months to try and assemble everything, and every Avenger and super hero known to man was invited.
Lila stood at the entrance of the Avengers tower waiting on someone to either one get her father for her or for them to come an take her too him. While she was waiting Lila pulled her cell phone out of hoodie pocket and started surf the web looking at phone cases, as she was doing her online shopping Lila couldn't help but think back to what happen earlier when she had first arrived there.
When she had first got to the tower she had saw a whole bunch of people walking around in groups with what looked like tour guides and a big front desk that had to one at it but she had seen on the desk a intercom looking thing with a sign beside that push button in case of need for help. After pushing that button she ended up talking to what sounded like a smug british man over the intercom she was told to wait where she was after she said she was her looking to her father.
Now as she was still waiting she got tried of being on her phone so she put it back into her hoodie pocket and was starting to get impatient because to Lila seemed like it taking forever but in all truth it was only just about few minutes ago that she had pushed the button on the intercom. The reason why the teenage girl was feeling in impatient is because she wanted to talk to her dad about something very important. The important thing that she wanted to talk to her dad Clint about was the fact she had two events that was happening at school, the first event that would be happen was the school art show and the other was a school play that she was going to be in an she wanted him to be there for both events.
Don't get Lila wrong she sort of understand how important her dad work is and stuff but she still wants him home at times for like super important events but as she stood there thinking about things Lila couldn't help but go back to watching the tour groups. As she watched people Lila let a slight smile cross her face and couldn't but agree with some of the reaction people was giving to about walking around the tower.
Okay I will so admit that it is pretty cool to be standing in the Avengers Tower and walking in the same area where your favorite superhero walk is even more. Now thinking on it maybe I should have joined a tour group or something cause who knows could have had a better chance at running into Auntie Nate or Dad. Wait do the tour group even run into any of the Avengers. I wonder if you see them train or better yet ask them question. Oh My Gosh Lila stop acting like a fan girl, thought Lila to herself.
It was hard enough for Tony to avoid some of the crowds, he managed to pass a group who kept asking questions, he wasn't really interested in answering any of them at the moment, "Mr. Stark when are you and Miss Flameshadow going to have a wedding ready? What kind of new inventions are you working on? What have the Avengers been up too now?" The questions seemed to flood him all over the place and right now he wasn't interested in answering any of them. He saw the young girl at the front as she moved away from the building and began to walk around it, using his navigation skills he moved around the crowd with out much of a trouble as they backed out of his way.
"I can't even get a break, Say Jarvis how about we put it so there aren't any tourists on the weekends unless they've got special permission to come to the tower." Tony mumbled but Jarvis managed to acknowledge it and he heard him say something on agreeing with it through the crowd. Once he was out side the doors slid open and shut again. But to his surprise the girl wasn't here, where had she gone? Had she gotten tired of waiting for someone to try and talk to her or get her father?
He continued to walk a bit on the buisy street as he saw a young teen in the distance and he did his best to catch up, "Lila Barton! Wait up a second!" He called out as he picked up his pace, despite being about 40 years old, Tony was still in good condition since he had a healing factor gifted from his extremis virus. He had a variety of unusual powers, most of which he didn't rely on that much but he used his suit in stead. He looked relatively young, like he was in his upper twenties or thirties still and no one would've been able to figure it out. Once he caught up to her he slowed down a bit. "I do apologize no one was able to get you at the front, Fridays are probably the buisiest days at the Avengers...er scratch that every day is busy there." Tony admitted.
"And if you don't know who I am the name's Tony Stark or as you probably know me better as Iron Man." He admitted. Tony wasn't fond of his past, in fact he had been from a different dimension all together. There could've been another Tony Stark walking among them as they spoke and that would've felt so odd. He didn't even want to think about that. "I think the last time I saw you, you were an infant." Tony said a bit amazed at how much Lila had grown up Clint hardly talked about his family but when he did, he always seemed proud, and had a smile on his face.

Lila heard someone yell her name at first she didn't understand who could be yelling her name at first then she realized it could be someone who was coming to get her to take her to her dad. However when she took in the fact that person had said wait up she looked around the area where she had been standing the whole time to make she hadn't been walking around with out her noticing that she did and well from what she could see she was still the same spot.
When she had the person walk up to her she was about to say something but to her surprise the man that had walked up to her and that was talking to her was Tony Stark a.k.a Iron man. Lila had heard stories about this man from her father but not only stories she seen him on tv and has read stuff online about him. Okay Lila do not fan-girl or say something stupid,Lila thought to herself.
" Yeah there is a lot of people here but back home we don't see this many people in less it's the farmer market we got or the county fair an stuff but anyhow Mr. Stark I know who you are sort of because of the stories that daddy told me and my brothers over the years." Lila said.
Lila then smiled when Tony said he hadn't seen her since she was baby."Well Mr. Stark if it counts for any thing your still taller the me." Lila said in a joking tone.
Lila still had a smile on her face but she decided to move on to a different subject to talk about. The subject she wanted to talk about was the whereabouts of her father.
"So if you don't mind me asking is daddy here or is he out on a mission? The reason why I'm asking is because I had something important that I wanted to talk to my dad about."said Lila.
Tony nodded back to Lila as she spoke, it made sense, and he could see how Clint told his kids about stories of the past. They had complicated ones but they always made interesting bed time stories for the younger generations, and it could also inspire the younger generation to be super heroes too, or at least do some good in the world. Although Lila didn't seem to have any powers, at least upon first glance, she could still make her claim out on the world if she played her cards right. "Yes New York is a busy metropolis, I believe that's why we put the Avengers Tower right here so we could watch the city even at night." Tony added. "And I'm not surprised that Clint told stories, he has some interesting ones working for SHIELD and the Avengers." He added.
"Ah you were looking for your father?" Tonya asked as he thought about it, being that he was stuck in his office he only had people coming in and out. "Jarvis do you mind taking a look at Clint's Avenger Identicard to see if he's stopped by recently." Tony asked as the british man's voice came up as his AI went to work. Not only had Jarvis been a main part of his Ironman suit where the AI could observe various things that were going on, Jarvis had also become a part of the security system in the tower which was handy at times. The first Jarvis had been destroyed in his time by Ultron which had been a heavy blow to Tony.
"I'm sorry sir he hasn't been in the tower since two days ago, I assume he's on a mission." Jarvis admitted as Tony sighed. People sure did live busy and complicated lives as heroes and even villains, too.
"I'm sorry also, Lila I know it's probably not what you wanted to hear, your father is a buisy man as you can probably guess." Tony said as he thought about it for a second. He felt like he had to make up for Lila on this one and he had an idea. "Say, how about I personally take you on a tour through the Avenger's building where the guests aren't allowed? I feel like I could make it up for you at least a little bit. And we can leave a message for Clint if he does show up again." Tony offered wondering if Lila would like that idea or not. If not he'd find some other way to make up for it.
Lila was slightly disappointed that father her had not been there but however she got excited when Tony had offered to give her a tour of the tower himself and that they could leave a message for her dad. "Sure I love a tour of the tower that would be totally like wicked and dad would so be in for a epic surprise with me leaving him a message here. " said Lila.
Lila then pulled her beauty and and the beast covered cellphone from her hoodie pocket then gesture with the phone."Would I be allowed to take pictures and also would you like to take a selfie together? It's totally okay if you say no and and I would so hand my phone over to you with that is what you would want.said Lila.
While Lila waited on answer to her questions, she couldn't help but try to fight off her inner fangirl really hard. Don't fangirl out ,play it cool ,you can do this , Lila thought to herself.
"He'll definietly get it, Lila he checks in on the Avengers on a regular basis and get back to you as soon as he can." tony offered knowing Clint still had a room for himself when he wanted to visit it. Just as many of the other Avengers did who didn't have homes. Tony had claimed a room for himself and it had been a good idea to do so even if he was a bit reluctant. "I can show you where the training room is in the building where we prepare for some of the worst situations, the meeting rooms and also where I make the Iron Man armor, the list goes on and on, on what I can show you." Tony said with a chuckle.
"You can take pictures, Lila well on the lower floors of the Avengers if a room says top secret or authorized personnel only, I ask that you don't take pictures. We Avengers need to have some of our rooms private to the unwanted eye and villains too, if they're snooping around. I hope you understand that part of it." Tony offered and hoped that Lila would understand. "And of course, I don't mind selfies every once in awhile with some people." he said with a chuckle seeing how excited she was. It looked like that had done it for Lila right then and there for her that she was going to get a tour. At least she be able to see what her father was up too when he was working so there was a plus to that.
At that point he moved up a bit closer to Lila though not so close they were touching. Tony knew if Clint was here he probably would've punched him in the throat for getting so close to one of his daughters, it had happened in the past. And he couldn't blame him for being so protective of his family for that. "Just say when you're ready Lila with that photo." Tony said having been familiar with plenty of camera shoots in the Avenger's buildings even press conferences when he had been busy at work with new inventions or things that the Avengers had been doing. He certainly wasn't a shy one for the camera.
Lila nodded her head in understanding to what Tony was saying about taking pictures and not going any taking pictures in top secret rooms. " I understand what your saying Mr. Stark, believe me when I understand needing to make sure things say secret from evil villains, expect my evil villains are my big brothers." said Lila.
Lila then watched as Tony moved a little closer to her so that she would be able able to take the selfie. Lila quickly turned her phone to camera mode on and took the picture. Once she got the picture she then turned the camera mode off. Thanks for the selfie Mr.Stark."said Lila. Then put her phone back into her hoodie pocket.
"Well then Mr.Stark would you like to lead the way or should I? Fair warning something tells me if you pick me to lead the way we would get lost."Lila said joking as she stretch her arm out in gesture for him to lead the way for the tour.
Tony chuckled a bit, "You sure are lucky you've got a family as big as it is, Lila." Tony admitted. "I didn't have any family members besides my mom and my dad at least not to my knowledge, I was an only child." Tony explained. There was a small flash in the corner of his eyes as he saw the camera go off as it announced it had taken the picture. Now Lila could indeed say that she had been to the Avengers and met one of them who wasn't apart of the family. He knew the flash would go away after awhile as a few spots could be seen and he rubbed his eyes a bit and was done with it.
"You're welcome, Lila." Tony said and he nodded. "I'll lead the way the Avengers building can be like a maze sometimes if you're not careful and not to mention security is top notch." He said with a soft nod as Tony began to lead the way through but he made sure he had a decent pace for Lila to keep up with. It wasn't long before they walked down the side walk and came across the front entrance of the Avenger's tower were there were a steady flow of people coming and going at it. Tony walked through the doors, but he on occasions to make sure Lila wasn't going to get lost.
"First we're going up on the elevator we can go around seeing the main tourist spots, and then go down below on the basement floors." Tony said as he opened one of the private elevator doors with the password key to get in. Usually the Avengers were only allowed to go in there. "If we do get separated on the tour Jarvis the AI here, can help and you can talk to him through one of his panels to lead you to the entrance or to my office." Tony offered knowing even he got lost on occasions when he wasn't paying attention but it still helped to have directions or even maps placed around the building to show the layout.
Lila followed Tony as he lead the way to the elevator, as she was walking she started to think about what Tony said about having her being lucky to have family. "Well Mr. Stark the more I think about I guess your right I am pretty lucky to have my older brothers.said Lila. After she got done talking Lila then listened as Tony explained what to do in case she got lost. The thing for her to do was talk to Jarvis an ask for help.
Lila got the fact that Jarvis was like a talking computer but the thing she didn't understand was why did he sound like a smug british man. So Lila decide to ask her burning question."Ok I get that Jarvis is like a talking computer but why does he sound like a smug rich british man?"asked Lila.
When the elevator doors opened Lila stepped into the elevator and looked around the small room."You know your guy's elevator with it being all pass code like it reminds of like a sci-fi movie."said Lila.
Tony seemed to pause a bit as if of thinking what to say he really didn't have much of a reason for Jarvis' british butler like tone besides the fact that he liked it. He'd sound more human like and something they can relate too. Usually the other Avengers would've probably not wanted to deal with those types of things since they're unknown. "That is a good question, Lila hopefully I have an answer for it." He said knowing many other questions might come up and a few seconds later he found an answer.
"Well if you ask me Jarvis would sound rather boring from just being a robotic voice, I guess it gives him a bit of character to have a brittish voice." Tony said. "I have a female AI counterpart named Jacosta she is a secretary in my office and helps take care of the armors as well, Jarvis can't do everything." Tony said hoping that would at least answer it as best as he could. To be honest he had a personal preference for the brittish voice of the AI and didn't seem to like anything else. Jacosta's voice was pretty plain compared to Jarvis' it had a more american voice.
Once Lila was in the elevator with Tony he quickly pressed the arrow button to go up on the floors and they had several floors on the Avengers tower further up and as they arrived, the elevator dinged, opened up the door and let them out. "Here we are this is one of the main lounge rooms for the Avengers to rest and have their periods of relaxation. There are Tvs set up, gaming systems, a bar and a kitchen area." Tony explained as he saw that a few people were around and some of the other heroes were answering questions or resting. This was pretty much typical of what the regular citizen would see. "There are several more floors if you want to visit them unless you want to get to the special stuff, downstairs, first." Tony offered. The option of what to do would be up to Lila in this case.

Lila listened as Tony was talking but as she was listening Lila took to studying the room and the people that was in for a few good seconds and then she broke her gaze from the people. Lila then looked at Tony." How about we go check out the good stuff first."said Lila. Lila then got done talking but it was easy to tell that she was dying to questions.
For a few good seconds the struggle of her fighting the urge to ask questions was winning but like any normal kid her age the curiosity got the better of her.So she threw all of her question out there all at once."So why do you guys let us normal people come here? How often do you see my dad playing video games? I'm telling you that dad is always some how managing to beat and my brothers at games especially Mario Kart and now I think he cheats like by playing a game here before he comes home. Also if you don't mind me asking but how do you guys keep from you internet from being so slow with so many people using it?" asked Lila.
Lila then watched Tony like a hawk waiting for him to answer her questions.
"Sounds good we'll go to my office next and show the inventions that I've been working on and then head down stairs to the training room. Does that sound better?" Tony asked as he leaned against one of the railings out of habit. He wasn't tired or anything but he didn't see a reason to sit down since he was giving Lila a tour.
Tony noticed that Lila had gone silent for a second, he figured that she was probably trying to think of something to say. Or the other part was she was so excited and trying to handle this all at once. To Tony this was something that he was used too and knew that it might be a lot to take in for some other people who had never been here before. "Woah slow down with the questions Lila, one at a time." Tony said putting up a hand showing what he meant to act like a stop sign.
"Let's see if I've got any answers for them." Tony said as he put his hand down and put it on the railing. HIs heart glowed every once in awhile where the arch reactor was showing that it was still functional keeping the metal out of his body otherwise he might as well be a goner. "We let normal people in to see how the super heroes are doing and so if they are big fans they can come and meet them if they like. It gives us a trusting view, if we have to shut down the tourist area there usually is a good reason or a super villian has come across this area." tony explained. "I see your dad playing video games with the Hulk and Thor quite often, but that would explain why your brothers loose, he's competitive." Tony said with a soft chuckle remembering how he nearly lost towards Clint. "As for the internet we have a router for every other floor, some people sometimes bring their own internet in their rooms if they're staying for awhile. There's also a router for those who are logging in as guests it's free wi-fi for them." Tony pointed out as he gave one look towards Lila's phone as if encouraging her to do it if she wanted too or not.
Lila listen as Tony answered her questions and when he said the first stop would be his office and then to the training rooms. "Sounds like a plan to me Mr.Stark and earlier I did check out the wi-fi earlier when I was waiting someone that's when i noticed it was fast why asked ya my question about it."said Lila as she did a thumbs up. Lila then stopped doing her thumbs and then crossed her arms as a other question came to her head."So since Thor is like the god of lighting do you guys like use him as phone charger sometimes? Also How do you keep Hulk from breaking your game controls or does he just play the games normal person form?"asked Lila.
It was she was speaking that Lila took notice of the glowing from Tony's shirt."You know with your shirt being all glowing you won't need a glow stick if you ever go to like a rave party." said Lila.
Tony nodded understanding her questions now for the internet it made sense to him. "That explains it." She added. It was clear she had a lot and he'd do his best to explain them the best he could. "Yes Thor is the god of Thunder from Asgard a realm that most humans are lucky enough to get a glimpse of. And we have tried that but the volts of electricity fried one of the phones, so it's really not recommended." Tony said with a chuckle knowing it didn't exactly ended well.
That was when Lila mentioned his shirt and his arch reactor and laughed a bit, "That was something I didn't even think about." Tony said with a soft nod. "It's an arch reactor, you see a long time ago I got into an accident where shrapnel hit my heart and I almost died on the spot as it blocked blood flow to it. The arch reactor acts like a magnet to keep the metal bits to try and get out. I've had a few surgeries to try and get the metal bits out but there are a few that were too dangerous for it." Tony explained knowing he came a long way from it and had come to use the arch reactor's energy for good with His Ironman suit.
"Come on, we'll go and see my office now and get the rest of the tour rolling." Tony said as he motioned towards the elevator as another group of people arrived. The tours probably wouldn't end until around 6:00pm so at least the Avengers got some peace in the day and could relax without eyes watching them all the time. They deserved that at least right?
