A Part of the Family (Lila)

Lila listened as Tony said that they had really tried to use Thor as a phone charger. The look Lila that got on face was one of wonder and slight horror at the idea of what happen to the phone ."Oh gosh that poor person who lost their phone, I can't image what they must of felt or how much a new one would have cost if they had like a super fancy name brand"said Lila.


However when Tony started to speak again Lila was happy that she got a laugh from but when Tony started to tell the story of what happen to him Lila got a thoughtful look on her face and she was starting to think."You know dad had never really mention that in his stories that he would tell us. He never really tell us kids the full story even when we know some-what of what goes on because of the news and the internet an stuff."said Lila.

Lila followed after Tony and as she followed him she started to ask some more questions. "How do you guys stay so brave when all that scary stuff is going down? I just don't understand how dad and all of you just go out there and save the day. Don't me wrong I'm grateful I'm truly am. "said Lila.

"Maybe he thought you guys weren't ready for those stories, some are deadly and violent as far as I'm concerned. But lots of heroism." Tony said with a soft nod towards Lila as she talked it was clear she was enjoying this and he noticed this. "But to be honest the Avengers aren't like they are now, we fought a lot and had arguments, ready to rip each other to shreds. It was only when our SHIELD agent director Mr. Nick Fury pulled us all together to snap us into reality. I think we owe him a lot of credit." Tony said with a pause. "But it really is hard to hang on sometimes to things when it is hard and bleak. I guess we realized at one point that people have a lot of faith towards us and when they need help the most they turned to us for it." Tony said but those last words were a bit hard but he was serious on it. He couldn't help but think of the Avengers in the Ultronverse, almost everyone of them was dead and he was one of the few that was left. He knew he couldn't go back but if something were there like hope and faith, he just may return to find out who was left.

Tony soon entered the elevator and made sure that Lila was in and he pressed a button to go up towards one of the higher up floors, "Now here's one of my favorite spots on the avengers tower next to the car room and the training room." He said as the elevator opened so Lila could step out. The view was looking over New York from a large black coated desk that had a computer monitor at the front which belonged to Tony with the Avenger's insignia on it as it flashed on occassions to show that it was in sleep mode.

"Good day Mister Stark, I see you have no new emails since you were last here." The voice said though it wasn't the british voice that Lila had heard earlier but it was instead the voice of a female AI named Jacosta. "Thank you Jacosta, why don't you say hello to Lila?" Tony asked. "Greetings Lila Barton, my name is Jacosta, Mister Stark's AI secretary." She said in a rather calm and collected voice. Maybe Lila would've warmed up to the AI that had a more feminine tone towards it.

When Lila stepped out of the elevator she took in the surprised view with a gasp.  Lila walked over to the windows and was looking out them still when she heard Tony talking about some of his other favorite place in the tower. It was after that she then started to hear Tony start talking to someone and that someone turned to the the artificial intelligence  secretary that he had been talking about earlier.


Lila had no clue what to say when the female computer starting talking to her, so did what she thought was the right thing to do and that right thing to do would be talk to it. "Hello Ms. Jacosta."said Lila. Lila then looked over at Tony.

"Mr. Stark how did you come up with the idea for talking computers and stuff. It's like everything straight up from like a Sci-FY movie or a comic book." said Lila.

[Tony Stark]

"Well my dad was the one who had the first idea, but unfortunately he never got a chance to start it up on his idea so I guess I picked up on where he left off." Tony said knowing his father had been a great inventor himself. However Tony knew that his father wasn't much of a father, he was hardly around even on things like a birthday which was always a disappointment to him too. However he wasn't really interested in talking about those things, they were in the past and they always looked towards the future. "Some people have called me a visionary or a futuristic type person I think most of those words are true for the most part. I always try to invent things that will help further ourseveles." Tony explained.

"Good day Miss Barton I hope you find your stay in the Avengers Tower a pleasant one." The AI said in a female sounding voice.

Tony couldn't help but chuckle a bit, he could tell that Lila wasn't used to these types of things. And here he was used to her talking since he used Jacosta and Jarvis on a regular basis like how people used their phones it was clear that they were a bit different but nevertheless needed. "So where do you want to go next? We can go down in the basement floors to see the training rooms or where I make my ironman suits?" He offered letting Lila pick this time.

Lila paused for a moment and started to think about where she would like to go next on the tour. After taking a few seconds Lila got done thinking things over and looked over at Tony. "I think I want to check out the area where you build the iron man suits at."said Lila. However as Lila was about to head back towards the elevator Lila took notice of a bowl of hard candy on the desk.

Lila looked at the bowl for a second and then she looked at Tony once more."Can I please have a piece of candy?"asked Lila. As she waited for an answer Lila stared at the candy wondering what kind of candy in was wrapped up in the red paper. "So do you eat a lot of candy?"asked Lila.

"Sounds good to me." Tony said with a soft nod as he let Lila pick the next area of which they were going to arrive at. Since they were done with the office he began to walk back towards the elevator. He had a feeling he'd be back here this evening incase there were any extra emails or tasks that suddenly came up later one. "We'll go see where I make my suits. I think you'll like it there, too." Tony added but stopped when he saw that Lila wanted to take some candy that had been placed there, probably by one of the other members of work, or by one of the Avengers, too.

"Of course you can have one, I tend not to eat that much Candy I guess I out grew it." Tony said with a shrug knowing that Halloween wasn't for some time away but the Avengers usually had good parties were the younger kids could dress up and such. Things like that were for fun of course. He probably couldn't count on his hands how many people dressed up like the Ironman suits he had, it impressed him. He pressed on the elevator door and as he stepped in he pressed one of the lower basement floors, "And down we go, this might take a bit." Tony said holding the door so Lila could get in too.

Lila skipped into elevator the with her few pieces of candy in hand."Thank You, for holding the door open for me, Sir.said Lila. As Lila was now standing in the elevator. She now unwrapped one of the candies and put it in her mouth and she was now enjoying the candy."It's caramel my favorite.Thanks again for letting me have some candy." said Lila.

Lila then looked at Tony. Then she offered him one of the pieces of candy."Do You want a piece of candy? I don't mind sharing."said Lila. Lila then waited on to see what Tony's answer would be. As she waited for a answer she threw out a other question."So why do you build your suits so far down below and not so up high? How are you able to test flying them, Don't you have to be up high in order to fly them? asked Lila.
