Protect the Innocent(Lila)

[Kaine Riley-Parker]

"That's good, like I said earlier that it's a good thing you've got family. I've lived a long time without really knowing anything about mine. I do have a girlfriend who lives in New York, I visit her on the weekends when I can." Kaine admitted but as for his parents, he didn't really know about the Riley's but he kept their name sake since he felt he was honoring them after they died. He wish he knew more about them but they were apparently kind enough souls who were able to take him in as an infant and adopt him. However that was a long time ago.

"And got it." He said understanding what to look for the eggs. He managed to head towards the coop with Lila in front. He looked down spotting a few in the nest that the chickens had been resting in and managed to take them without the chickens getting mad earlier. However something made him flinch a bit after he realize what it was. A sharp tingle on the back of his head went off again and he wasn't sure about this. There was nothing bad going on in the coop as far as he could tell. "Lila be careful my spidey sense just went off. It is usually never wrong with danger." He said as he looked up trying to figure out why it had gone off like that.

He made some movements towards the gate trying to keep an eye out towards the area of the nearby barn moving silently as well. "I see it now." He said hearing low growls coming from it. Not far in the back was a bob cat as it seemed to be roaming around on the edge of the farm like it was trying to pick its prey. It was odd seeing a bobcat this far down and close to New York but then again humans were driving creatures away like them for years so that might've been what was going on. "It's a bobcat. Do you guys have trouble with these kind of animals?" Kaine asked wondering if he was going to have a long night ahead of him looking out for these creatures. At least he could pay them back for being a body guard for her so far no super villains had come up but he knew one day that just might happen.

Lila paused when she heard Kaine talking. She looked towards the bobcat that he was talking and got a slightly confused look on her face and it was during this time that she heard Kaine ask if bobcats where a normal thing around there farm."To be honest this the first time I seen a bobcat around our farm. The normal animals we might have trouble with might be coyotes, deer maybe bears sometime but this the first time I seen a bobcat around here." said Lila.

After she got done talking for the moment went back to what she was doing. The thing she was doing was that she opened a side door of the chicken coop and started getting eggs from it. As she was doing her chore she started to talk again."Guess we are lucky that we are inside the fence."said Lila.

"Well, I can always scout the area before bed and when I get up to make sure the animals are alright here. It looks like he'll be far enough away he's not much of a problem." Kaine said with a soft nod understanding. It was clear back in New York they didn't really have to worry about those kind of animals except for the usual things like pigeons. "I guess it's my first time seeing a bobcat too believe it or not." He admitted. Like he had said earlier he usually was a city boy.

"Yeah we are lucky that there's a fence, he looks like he's starting to move away since he saw us." Kaine explained glad to see that he was finally gone. Perhaps he knew better than to try something while there were some humans around. "do you have all the eggs or do you still need some help with that?" Kaine asked at least trying to ignore the bob cat hoping that the spidey sense would go away too.
