As always, Kaine was sitting atop a gargoyle on a familiar perch that he visited rather frequently, he seemed to be brooding about the current events that had been going on. So far everything had been ok, those times in the past had been hardships, Kaine didn't know what he was doing and he had been going far and astray. He was grateful that many people had come to his rescue like Katherine or even Sue Storm. However it had occurred to him that he hadn't seen Sue in some time. Hopefully she was alright, and she had a life of her own. He'd like to see her one day if that was even possible.
Kaine looked up as he felt something touch his shoulder, it wasn't a bug or anything but rain started to fall down on New York. Times like these in the summer often lead to thunderstorms. There were grey clouds over head and he couldn't help but notice how bad they looked. Perhaps it was a good idea to seek shelter. But as the clap of thunder could be heard in the distance Kaine heard a shriek and scream that was loud enough to trigger his spidey sense. Using one of his webs, he swung forward like how Spider Man would've to figure out what was going on. As he came over he saw a robot arrive on scene as it came to try and attack someone, he came over grabbing the woman before the robot could fire any weapons in their direction. This was something that he was familiar with. The woman kept screaming, "Will you shut up? I think you aught to be grateful that I risked my neck back there for you." He said rather coldly as the woman looked stunned.
"Th-Thank you." The woman said looking a bit stunned. But as she looked back another robot started to arrive as Kaine's spidey sense went off a second time. He took out his stingers and sent one forward thrusting it into the arm of the robot. That was when his eyes narrowed at he realized who the robot belonged to. He had seen it before, before the peace had come to this world. "Doom." He growled under his breath as another clap of lightning came to the area. The storm was a bad omen as far as he was concerned and he knew that this was nothing good. He quickly got his phone out after dismantling the robot with his stingers, he couldn't stay down for long others would need help.
"Calling all SHIELD agents in New York I need help, now! I can't take down all of these robots by myself!" He called out as he had to drop the line before going back into action again. It was pretty much instinct for him now to go into the fray and fight. However when one of them grabbed his hand he realized there was some trouble as he let out a painful cry as something struck him in the back. He may be down but he wouldn't be down for long until his healing factor started to work or someone would come to the rescue. Kaine hated calling for help, but it was only the right thing to do at this point.
