PERSONALITY In the past, Kaine's personality was bitter and cold, he was willing to do anything to get what he wanted. He also didn't even believe in Spider-Man's "Great Power comes great responsibility" And went by his own way no matter what the dangers were. Kaine went on a bad spree for awhile as he joined Blackheart, but gradually realized what Blackheart was doing and quit the team. It wasn't long before he ran into a girl named Katherine who showed him love and compassion as he returned the same. These feelings were new to him but he gradually came to accept them and learned that "being yourself" wasn't that bad of a thing to handle. For awhile he wandered alone, and often times still does, but he always remembers to return back to where he was once from and is needed such as SHIELD. Often this gives him the loner personality trait, he trusts few and even likes others less. Gradually, Kaine has come out of this shell as he is learning about different emotions and how to deal with them. At this point he is still figuring out his own life, but he has come quite far in it in the emotional state. In the beginning he had been a wreck where he went on his own path and hated just about everyone. After some helping hands from SHIELD, Kaine has been able to figure out that not everyone is bad. Everyone has their own path, and he does as well. Kaine still has some scars in his mentality but he does his best to try not to let them bother him. Oh and another thing, he hates several things like hugs from strangers, and as well as water. But why he hates those things are still a mystery. HISTORY Family: Mother: Mrs Riley (deceased) Father: Mr. Riley (Deceased) Peter Parker: Genetic Template May Parker (Niece) Kaine's history is a bit of a complicated one. Kaine had been a test subject in Oscorp where they were attempting to replicate human DNA, one of which belonged to Peter Parker's to create a new super spider like hero. Unfortunately the scientsits believed they had failed and quickly were going to kill off the test subject called "Kaine." However one of the scientists there had been apart of the project saw the infant and dwas crushed to see that he wasn't going to live. She stole the baby one night and carefully snuck out, while the others had assumed he was dead. Mrs Riley and Mr. Riley too care of Kaine, now named officially Kaine Riley for several years. he was about 13 years old when tradgedy struck the family. He was left home with a baby sitter as Mr. And Mrs Riley had to go on a conference on the other side of the United States. The plane suddenly crashed, killing everyone aboard. With this tradgic news, Kaine quickly ran away down the New York streets only to find himself being kidnapped by some unknown figure. Kaine tried to fight back but it was hopeless, the man had overpowered him so easily it was unbelieveable. Kaine stayed at oscorp for several long years, at least until he was 19 years old. By then, Kaine had been transformed as radio active spider venom ran through his veins and he became known as Scarlet Spider once the scientsits figured out that he was the missing infant that they thought he was dead. Once Kaine had been fed up with the constant torture that he had suffered daily, he tried to escape, but it resulted in a damaged and scarred eye. He then tried again a couple of months later and was successful at it. Kaine quickly wandered the earth as he found a home in Las Vegas with another villain named Blackheart. Kaine quickly left the team after figuring out what Blackheart was trying to do. He also in this time found a girlfriend named Katherine Yiosa and the two quickly became lovers. So far Kaine has been apart of SHIELD working for the web warriors and is also doing side teaching for a job so he can stay good with SHIELD terms. Even if he doesn't always cooperate with SHIELD, and goes on his own sometimes, he still cares about the ones that he has come to know as friends back on SHIELD. Powers Super Human Strength: Kaine has the ability to lift almost 40 tons with his spider ability. With normal attacks of his own he was able to injure and damage another person with out much effort. Super human Speed: Kaine has the ability to move much faster than the normal human athlete, but of course he is not near as fast as Quicksilver or any other speed based super heroes. Super Human Durability: He is able to withstand a certain amount of blows for a short amount of time. His skin is far more resistant than a normal human's abilities. He has been able to survive from falling from several stories off of a building, and he has also been able to be lucky enough to survive several concussive blasts from other super humans. Super human Reflexes: Kaine's ability for balance, reflexes are greatly enhanced from a normal human's. He has been able to avoid being hit by gunfire thanks to this. Healing Factor: Kaine has a healing factor that can heal minor cuts, wounds or even burns. But major injuries like organ damage may take up to almost a week or more to heal properly. But if a limb has been cut off he can not regenerate it. Wall Crawling: Kaine Riley has small tiny microscopic hairs on his fingers and feet that allow him to crawl on almost any surface. It includes anything from almost vertical surfaces to the ceiling. Mark of Kaine: Though Scarlet Spider usually considers this a curse, he has found it useful. The mark of Kaine is a corrossive touch that he can leave hand prints on the victims that he chooses. This corrosive touch usually leaves the victims burned pretty badly at almost third degree burns. It deformed some parts of his hands and left scars on it. He has often wondered if this is why the scar on his face has remained for so long and never healed. The mark of Kaine is forever seared underneath his right eye since it is now a part of him since he has been able to remember. Webbing Regeneration: Kaine Riley is able to create his own webbing from his hands that has a red tint to it compared to regular white webbing. It is very sticky but it usually wears off in a few hours, but it is very durable in the rain. Empathy with Arthropods: Its not really known how Kaine can do this but he can sense spiders and other wall crawling creatures nearby. He can communicate with them if needed or even instruct them to help him in certain tasks. Because of this he has great respect for spiders and tiny little bugs that most humans wouldn't even think twice about. Stingers: Kaine has a surprise both in his right and left palm are two hidden stingers. They are sharp bone like material that he is able to force out consciously. They usually cause a bit of bleeding but it quickly fades over time thanks to his healing factor. These stingers are nice and sharp making him have the ability to try and cut through most tissue or material except for of course adamantium. Spidey Sense Immunology: Scarlet Spider is able to evade other super spider's spidey sense if they have it. Usually they can't detect him coming if he's in for trying to make a surprise visit for them. Spidey Sense: Like most Spider's, Scarlet Spider has a spidey sense that alerts him to danger with a sharp 'tingling' sensation that he feels in his brain. It's not really well known how he is able to sense it and it seems to be out of his consciousness. Weaknesses: Healing Factor: His healing factor isn't near as strong as Wolverine's healing factor is. He can heal injuries like cuts and bruises pretty fast. But if he lost a limb, it'd probably never grow back. Loner: Though really not a weakness for super powers, Kaine has problems with really finding himself fitting in. He is often found being a loner and likes being left alone. He really has no friends to turn to if he needs help in a situation where he can't go alone. He just can't come across himself to ask help for a team or even join them. They've probably got to be really good a convincing him. His Past: Kaine is fearful of what he may find out about his past back in New York. If anyone asks him about it, he usually comes up with some crummy story that isn't even real.
