As if Kaine had it tough enough trying to teach SHIELD trainees and dealing with their paperwork and homework as they were posted online about every week and on time. There was also being a Web Warrior as well. However everything was thrown a side just now as something happened, something bad. He had something else happen, as a wake up call as he found himself startled that one morning and he was in a semi unfamiliar place to him. "Where am I?" He asked as he woke up and his vision came into view as an alarm went off, he slammed it with his fist and it fell silent after a bit before Kain as he realized something was indeed wrong. His hands weren't covered in scars like they usually were and as he stood up...he felt funny. It was an odd sension but as he looked in the mirror he couldn't help but notice that that was indeed not Kaine Riley he ewas looking at but someone who looked totally different. "Ok this is crazy don't panic, Kaine I just gotta find my body and find the person who this is." He said to himself as he tried to find clues around the room to figure this out.
There was no sign of his spidey suit anywhere, it was probably still back in his apartment in New York City. He found something that looked like a wallet that belonged to the person's body that he had been put into and this surprised him. "James Hudson uh? Kid of Wolverine, great." He grumbled to himself wondering what on earth his own body was doing and where it had gone. Confusion and panic had somewhat picked up in him as he began to try and figure out what he had to do next. He couldn't stay here, though this looked like where James lived. And he climbed out of a window and looked back at the building realizing it was the X-institute, the same place where Katherine lived. However he didn't want to see his girlfriend right now, he didn't want her to panic or freak out too. It was best ot let her have a normal life as possible.
That and he didn't want her to worry.
As he moved forward he spotted a motorcycle parked in one of the garages at the school and keys were there also. Kaine knew it wasn't the state of the art one like they had at SHIELD but it would do. He revved the engine as it roared to life and he took off towards his apartment towards the city part of this side of the state. He knew his body would be there, it was relatively early in the morning and he'd still be asleep at least according to his schedule. Luckily he wasn't due for SHIELD today so he got the day off.
"This James Hudson kid better not try anything funny. I don't know his powers but he also doesn't know mine." He said knowing the Mark of Kaine and his stingers could be deadly as he drove down the road as fast as he could go. He was trying to get their in a hurry or before anyone got hurt. The other thing that bothered him was that he couldn't remember anything. It was pretty much a blur for him. However, he knew this wasn't the first time that memory loss had happened for Kaine it was something that he was familiar with. He just had to hurry.
This had been so wrong on so many levels. As he approached the street where his appartment was he had a bad feeling, usually that was sent off by his spidey sense, but that wasn't here this time. Someone had his body and they better not be messing with it. If he had his stingers, he would've sent them out by now. But in this body he had no idea at first that he was in one of Wolverine's kid's body. "They better not be messing around with my body." He said with a growling and frustrating tone. This time they had crossed the line.
Ooc: @tundra hope it's alright if I start it with these two since you finished James Hudson's profile.
Jimmy had no idea what had occurred quite yet himself. He wasn't exactly aware of anything at the moment as his mind was telling his body it was time to wake up, that his alarm should have already gone off by now. Jimmy didn't normally wake until his alarm went off but something in the back of his mind was telling him it should have already. He would reach out to slam his fist down, knock it over, or drive his claws through it when it did. Yet, there was nothing but a mental alarm going off causing James to lift his head with a jolt.
He was lying on his stomach, eyes half open and feeling groggy already, glancing at the wall for a long moment and not quite registering that it was not his room. Once his mind began to catch up with what he assumed was his body, Jimmy finally flopped onto his side to look at the time...realizing only then that the room set up and style was...not his. No, everything was different and the furniture was nothing of the sort he had picked. Sure, his room was scarce, and this one seemed equally so, but it was nothing to his particular style making him growl mentally in thinking someone was pranking him. "I swear if you younger punks are pulling another one on me." He snarled loudly, scowling at first before that disappeared.
That wasn't his voice. It had a different sound and no growling tone, making Jimmy scramble from the bed to find the bathroom and skidding to a stop in it. His eyes widened when seeing the reflection, finding someone else entirely than himself staring back, face contorted into a shocked expression. "This...this isn't me." He muttered, dashing right back to the room but feeling the slight difference in movement with this form. 'Someone else with physical powers, a lot like mine.' Jimmy thought as he returned to Kaine's room, beginning to search his room to find the presence of some identification, finally stumbling upon the man's own wallet. "Kaine Riley? What kind of name is that."
Shaking his head, Jimmy shoved the wallet into the pocket of a bag he came across before adding some clothes in. Might as well have extra. But as he rummages through the closet he stumbled upon a rather striking color schemed suit, lifting it to get a better look and realizing who this was, "Scarlet Spider..." He let out a soft breathe of disbelief, but it seemed the best way to cover some tracks as he donned the costume and grabbed the bag, peeking out to the window. No, that wouldn't be wise to do. Someone could catch a glimpse of him but at the same time strolling down the hall like it was a usual thing didn't sit well either. Time to take the chance.
Jimmy carefully opened the window and crouched onto the ledge, something he had done in his own body but felt odd in this. Kaine was leaner than he was and smaller, which made him feel awkward as he tried to move and tried pressing his hand to the brick, but in his confusion and frustration couldn't get it to properly do so. "Plan B." Jimmy fired a web towards the nearest building when he felt for the lever in the glove, firing the sticky web fluid and grunting as felt himself being pulled along, flailing about to try and balance himself but the swing was awkward and uncoordinated. His sense of direction felt off and the tingling in the back of his skull became distracting, "What the hell...Oof!" A loud smack sounded as Jimmy slammed into a wall, being knocked back from the sudden collision and crashing onto some tables, causing pedestrians to scream and scatter in surprise and left groaning as Jimmy was dazed by the actions.

As Kaine approached the appartment, in Jimmy's body he could see that the light was on in his bedroom window, there were a few lights in the place and he knew that it shouldn't be that long before this Jimmy fellow would've discovered what was going on and what had happened. However, a scream from the crowd quickly filled the air which attracted Kaine's attention also. Instead of running to it, he headed towards it, something rather unusual but he had a bad feeling about this one. As he entered the scene he saw his red spider suit being worn by someone else, at least he had the smart idea of wearing that and hiding behind it so his face wouldn't be embarressed by the humiliation that would come with it.
Kaine however could relate to Jimmy's failed attempt at web slinging, it took him months before he could figure it out and he had cuts and bruises all over his body (Which quickly healed) But if you didn't like heights or couldn't balance yourself this was certainly not the best idea for you. As he walked over he put a hand on his arm, that was such an odd thing to do as he tried to help the guy get to his feet, this Jimmy anyways.
"First off, your spidey sense should've alerted you of the danger that was going to come your way. Second off you put spider heroes to shame! I could've cleared that wall easily." Kaine explained as he crossed his arms looking rather unamused. If things got heated rather badly a fight might've interrupted in the middle of the street. But Kaine didn't have the patience to explain exactly what the spidey sense was in the middle of a crowd of civilians. The spidey sense of course was a sensation felt in the brain that alerted them from danger, but reacting to it was one thing as shown here. It may have given them seconds to a life threatening event where they could've been killed, luckily in this case it was a wall and not a super hero.
"And third off GET. OUT. OF. MY. BODY." He said growing rather impatiently as time crept on he knew things could get dangerous. SHIELD would call and want him back to work with the Web Warriors as usual and it wouldn't be him that was in his body it would be this Jimmy Hudson guy. Just as his anger hit him he felt three sharp claws come out of his knuckles, these were not his stingers but sharp claws that looked like they belonged to Wolverine. With Kaine's own mind in confusion and in a disarray his claws seemed to be reacting to it. "That's odd, last I checked I only have TWO stingers." He said trying to put them back behind his knuckles.
It took a few minute for Jimmy to get his bearings, giving a soft grunt as someone grabbed his arm and attempted to help him up. Being entangled in the broken chairs and tables though took him a little time before he was finally on his feet. Once her turned to thank the person, might well be courteous after all, he was shocked to find he was looking at himself. Someone else was indeed inhabiting it and it seemed the moment the person began to start talking it felt like he was being scolded by himself. Now that was embarrassing but no one would know it was such a thing, simple someone scolding another from an outside perspective.
"Why don't you first lay off me. In case you haven't noticed web head, I ain't exactly meant for that sort of thing. Swinging on tight ropes and wearing liatards aren't how I roll, and your body isn't built the same way as mine. I'd like to see you try and do the same thing right now." Jimmy retorted as he crossed his arms, finding his own stubborn attitude coming to their surface and glaring at the man, Kaine, trying to act like he knew everything that was going on. "But that does explain that annoying tingling in the back of my skull, but I was trying to pay attention to it and try to keep some balance on that webbing or whatever it is." He muttered, finding a sting to his pride at knowing how bad he probably looked and how much of an amateur Scarlet Spider probably appeared. Hopefully for their sakes no one had noticed or recorded it. Truth be told, Jimmy wasn't use to a smaller body frame and it had been sometime since he himself was small. He was use to being the big, buff kid that could handle anything, with the claws, muscles, and skills to match.
Seeing the claws pop though and realizing how shocked Kaine was it was Jimmy's turn to try to shed some light on the situation. Grabbing his arm he pulled Kaine to a nearby alley way, glancing back to make sure someone wasn't following before turning back and removing the mask. "Look, you're confused as I am right now, okay? If I could switch our bodies back I would have done so already. Unfortunately that isn't my mutant power, my powers are like my dad's, only I can secret an organic metal and I'm durable." Jimmy looked at the back of Kaine's wrists, focusing on the area he could see where the so called stingers could be triggered and felt a familiar puncture of skin and muscle where the stinger came out. "Okay, you have some powers I'm familiar with. Maybe we can make this work." He said before looking back at Kaine knowing despite their pride and reluctance they would have to work together on this.
"Alright Riley, we have to think. Is there anyone you can think of who would pull this stunt? If we can narrow that down maybe we can make them reverse this." Jimmy told him, trying to search his memories of recently to think of who could switch the minds of people. But the only people capable of doing so that Jimmy knew of were only telepaths.

"Woah there!" Kaine said as he felt James grab his arm with his own strength. He pulled the two of them into an alley way away from the public eye for a bit so both parties could get their wits about them back. Regardless he knew why they were back there in the first place, they had to make sure no one saw them fumbling around but these days in the media that was going to be really really hard with everyone carrying phones and having access to things on the internet. Kaine wasn't a fan of it himself but he did have a phone for messages since he typically preferred being left alone.
Kaine paused a bit and despite his claws he sent them back in that was something that Jimmy and himself were at least semi familiar with. He only had two pairs of stingers, like he said while Jimmy had a pair of six claws that were as sharp as ever and he nodded a bit as he was trying to think about this. Who on earth had the ability to shift bodies and cause this much humiliation for two heroes...er scratch that he pretty much considered himself to be an anti hero at this point. "Hm I think I have an idea but you're not gonna like it." Kaine explained. "Awhile ago my group helped bag several wanted people by SHIELD and ended up putting one away who could deal with minds but he wasn't sure if it was what they were looking for. "I do have an idea on one person who can play with minds and even force people to do things against their will, that's Mesmero." Kaine explained. "I think this is his version of revenge or trying something funny." He explained.
"But while we're here I guess we should at least know about our powers, otherwise we'll only embarress ourselves even more." Kaine explained. He paused for a bit and pointed to the stingers, "I use the stingers a lot probably something that you're familiar with. They are sharp bone but they can cut through metal with your strength if you do it sharp enough and at the right time." Kaine explained knowing this might be a lot at first as he continued to go on knowing it would help them. "Your hands also have two places on them that fire organic web fluid, this fluid is sticky and you can run out of it if you use too much of it but it wears off after a few hours, you can wall crawl, healing factor, you got a spidey sense and also can talk to insects." He said as he seemed a bit hesitant on this last area as he sighed.
"The last one I'm not fond of one bit since it's so deadly. It's called the Mark of Kaine." He said as he went on. "The power has an acid touch that can melt away anyone's hand or face, my hands are covered in scars since I have been using it and it touched my ownself from using it. Make sure you pay close attention when you use that power or it will be deadly." Kaine said with a rather reluctant look on his face but he also had a warning tone in his voice. That was probably a lot at first but he knew that Jimmy's powers might not be any different they just had to use them the way they were used to doing it. As he thought about it a bit harder, he managed to make at least two of the sharp claws come out in the middle area like Jimmy had done on his own body. "That's a bit better." He said and he didn't like it one bit.
Well, At least Kaine had a general idea of who might be behind this. But having to deal with anything related to SHIELD wasn't exactly his idea of a fun time. How in the world was he suppose to pass off as the Scarlet Spider when he barely could handle his balance and coordination? The man was leaner than himself so distributing his weight and getting a feel for it was like trying to throw a football blind and without knowing where you were or where you were going. "Great, so that means we have to go all the way to that big tank in the sky." He grumbled with annoyance, pacing on the spot for a moment before sighing.
Kaine was right about one thing, they did have to understand how each other's powers worked. "Mine isn't that far off from yours." He agreed, facing Kaine, himself really, scowling at having to do such a thing. "Strength is normal for me, so you're going to have to somewhat rely on momentum and planning on your part, maybe I can even throw you to really get some damage." He started out, making sure that Kaine understood one big difference. "I am superhumanly agile, great stamina, and really durable, so you can afford some leeway to take someone head on. But lucky for you, I also have a healing factor and that metal secretion thing can be automatically, even for the teeth. Really good in close quarters."
Jimmy though looked at his hands, flexing each finger individually as he pondered the use of the Mark of Kaine. "Doesn't sound such a bad power to me." He commented, seeming to not mind using such an acidic touch, of course where it was necessary. "Oh, and mind the keen senses, those can be a pain to deal with." He added, wondering if maybe his unfortunate ally might have an idea of what his powers were considering he was practically his father but with some minor differences. "But I don't think its our powers that'll be a problem so much as being able to properly move." Jimmy muttered, putting the mask back on.

"Well you do have the proportionate strength of a spider, you'd be surprised at what you can do." Kaine pointed out as he surprised himself with being able to lift things that most humans wouldn't be able to lift at all. Though Kaine wasn't exactly in the best mood to explain the Mark of Kaine to Jimmy, it was something that was deadly. Once you felt it yourself then he'd understand, but he hoped that it wouldn't come to that. He crossed his arms showing just how annoyed he was, but he wasn't mad at Jimmy anymore. They had someone else to get too. "It is my least favorite power, with a reason." Kaine pointed out. "And got it, with the powers."
"In my suit there should be a card that has a passcode to get into SHIELD, you should have no problem getting there since I'm apart of the Web Warriors, you can take me as a guest." Kaine explained. "Oh yeah, the hellicarrier is usually up there, getting up higher in the air is going to be a problem too since they usually fly around from place to place." Kaine pointed out.
"Now we need to go, I know I'm impatient as much as the next guy but we really need to get to SHIELD. If Mesmero isn't behind this then we're back to square one." Kaine pointed out as he began to move but he found himself having slight difficulty moving into a crouched position that he'd do almost easily with his own body. Jimmy probably wasn't used to his body and neither was he. "Woah!" He called out as he grabbed a hold of one of the bricks on the wall. "Definitely Not used to this." He grumbled underneath his breath.
"Why don't you try web swinging again?" Kaine offered. "You need to attach the webbing to a high point, like a roof and let your body swing forward. It's hard to explain but it's a thrilling experience once you get it right." Kaine added. "Your webbing comes from your wrists right below the stingers. And it's organic as well, you make it every hour or so, but you can usually tell when you run out, the area becomes a bit weak around the hands." He added knowing some human anatomy was probably going to be involved here for the first part.
"Guess some of us don't just know when the going gets rough, you sometimes have to get rougher." Jimmy remarked, but deep down he could respect that aspect of Kaine. They may have gotten off on a rough start but he could easily see they shared much in common, attitude being one to their skills and concern for doing the right thing. Perhaps they were more alike than the two truly realized. For the moment he was willing to respect Kaine's dislike of the Mark he had, "But I'll only use it when it's really needed. I doubt it should take much to make this Mesmoro guy to talk." Jimmy smirked, but he new Kaine couldn't see it but there was no doubt it could be heard in his tone.
He stepped from the alley for a moment, looking at the buildings and scanning the skies at the same time, trying to figure out the best place to get to SHIELD. There was one nearby building that seemed tall enough and in a good position to offer some surveillance so they could find the Helicarrier better than from down here. But, it would take a few swings to get to. "Well, here goes nothing." He muttered, aiming his wrist towards the nearest building. "So you just make his little hand sign here, like the original web head..."" Aiming carefully, Jimmy fired a webbing onto the nearby wall, simply firing as a test run before finding it worked this time.
"Okay, I think I got this. Just, uh, hold on. I may be stronger but coordination at the moment isn’t exactly my friend.” Jimmy warned, grabbing Kaine around the waist, or himself that was, before firing another web, this time pulling so the web became tense and pulled both right towards the building but Jimmy was left letting out a surprised yelp, not use to the sudden strength of the webbing. He barely had time to break that before firing another web to the nearest building, repeating this a few times before using a bit more strength with the momentum to swing them both up to the building he had spotted a few minutes before. ‘This isn’t going to be pretty.’ He thought as the two came crashing on the landing, forcing Jimmy to release his body and tumbling a few times before he came to a complete stop.
“Ugrrrggh...I’ve had more graceful landings coming from Witchfire’s teleporting spells.” He grumbled to himself, sitting up and shaking his head, glad both were incredibly durable. Though he could imagine Kaine’s suit was a bit scratched up. Shaking himself fully, Jimmy took out the card Kaine had mentioned, having felt around for it before he fiddled with the communicator, “Uh, this is Scarlet Spider requesting a lift to SHIELD HQ. And a private audience with the prisoner Mesmoro.” Jimmy spoke, trying to sound as normal as possible. It couldn’t be much different from reporting to Alpha Flight and Department H back before he came here, at least he hoped it wasn’t.

"When you've put up for it as long as I have you learn to dislike it." Kaine said with a shrug. "My hands have been scarred up by it from using it so much." He added but he was surprised that James would use it. He had other devices like the stingers and his web slinging which were the main things that he used and were probably things he'd be familiar with. "Just be careful." He said trying to put as much emphasis on those words as often as he could.
"Woahh!" Kaine called out as he wasn't really prepared for it. It was one thing to go web slinging around New York in your own body but in someone else's who wasn't experienced with it at all was bad enough. Kaine grabbed on hard to his body for dear life as the two got lifted off the ground and sent into the buidling's roof top with a loud bang and crash on the other side. "If you damage my suit you'll need to repair it. I only have the one." Kaine remarked sounding serious on it and he wasn't about to get SHIELD to fix it. He felt his body mend any injuries that he might've had a couple of scratches and bruises but it wasn't anything serious for a super powered being.
"Yeah you're lucky we both have healing factors, though mine isn't the best but it has saved my life more than once." Kaine remarked as he brushed himself off seeing that he collected a fair amount from the landing itself. He rolled his eyes, he knew that James probably could've been given more critisim since he didn't sound like that at all. He really wondered if SHIELD would come at all and they'd have to rely on their own way to get up to them. But to their surprise there was a small jet plane starting to arrive on the building as a SHEILD agent was piloting it.
"Not bad kid looks like you were able to get them to come." Kaine said as he stepped aboard out of habit. It'd be interesting to see how this played out and if they got their bodies back sooner than expected. He half wondered if they'd come across the Web Warriors, he really didn't want to interact with them right now that was the last thing he wanted to do right about now. "I should warn you I am apart of a group called the Web Warriors, we're all spider based members, but I'd rather not deal with them right now...If you know what I mean we might encounter an already awkward situation with them." Kaine said knowing their situation was already hard enough to explain.
