When Best Friends Get Together(Brandi)

Sam flew through the air not far from where the SHIELD hellicarrier was, it was nice to get some fresh air and stay away from the giant metallic object since it felt so unwelcoming sometimes. You do your work, sleep, eat and repeat sometimes that was a repetitive lifestyle and Sam wanted a break or a change in it. Sam had been thinking a lot about what had happened, the fact that Anya came back was exciting but he knew better than to badger her constantly or breath down her neck. When she was ready he would know it. For now, Sam flew down onto the hellicarrier landing strip as his body lit up so easily it was hard to miss him. The missiles and weapons wold never fire at an oncoming SHIELD agent which was good for him.

It was around 8:00 PM at night. As far as Sam new, Miguel was out with the Web Warriors, probably patroling the city and would likely be back in a few hours, that left Brandi and he wondered how she was doing. So he got out his phone as he began to text her, it was important not to bring your phone on dangerous missions since it was likely going to get smashed in the middle of a fight. "Heay Brandi I'm on the SHIELD hellicarrier landing area where are you? Last I heard from Miguel he was doing some things with the Web Warriors." Sam sent. "Do you want to spend some time together if you're not busy?" He asked in a seperate message as he hovered in place to watch the city skyline of New York. It was starting to get chilly like summer was coming to an end.

Brandi was pretty lonely and Kyra being babysat by someone while Miguel is off on a mission she was left with Blaze who was sitting there at her feet. She felt her phone vibrate and then looked at and smiled when she realized it was her best friend Sam Alexander she was never too busy to hang with him except when shield wants her on a mission and be on strict silence. She had her duty as demon hunter too and she tries to keep her friends and SHIElD out it because she always feels responsible if something was to happened even she knew that they are strong enough to handle such things.

She otherwise had some time and even Miguel joined him when he was able to she actually hoped that they will get to travel together somewhere when they are not working. She then texted back to him with " no and of course i will hang out with her that sounds great i am coming right now " she didn't know what they were going to do but whatever it is she knew it will be fun. She quickly got into some civilian clothing out of her shield uniform and used her super speed to get down to his location and waited for him to come down.

Sam still wore his helmet knowing he might need to fly down to where they needed to go so that was at least easily. He was on his phone for a bit before he looked up and saw Brandi coming in civillian clothing. "Brandi! It's great to see you again, how are you doing?" Sam said as he smiled glad to see her again. He knew Miguel would come back eventually and when he was done maybe they could meet him in the city if they weren't out too late?

"I was thinking we could get some ice cream we can get some for Kyra and Miguel in hopes that it doesn't melt on the way back." Sam said. "After that I'm not sure what we should do here." He said knowing the night was still young they could figure out something. Like going to the casino, movies or even something else that they could enjoy their time with. Sam didn't have anything that night until the next morning which was the usual training and such which took up a lot of time, and sometimes it got repetitive too.

Brandi just smiled the thought of the ice cream sounded actually great and they will need to get some for Miguel and Kyra at the end of their day so it wouldn't melt she responds with " of course I think I will pay for it The Sweet shop right " She of course planned to pay unless Sam said something. The day was going to be a great one at least that is what she wanted.

She just hopped that they didn't have to handle some kind of demon or alien threat that seems to always happen at the most conventant times.She started to walk the direction of the nearest ice cream shop this one was called The Sweet House which sells Thai ice cream which comes unique flavors which as matcha green tea with strawberries.The store sells other things besides ice cream it also sells stuff like crepes and smoothies and other stuff like bubble tea.

Sam flew down after Brandi and it didn't take long for them to arrive at the shop either. It looked nice as he knew that this place would be a popular spot for people to hang out. They could hang out there for awhile too as Sam looked up trying to figure out what to order from where they were standing he felt his phone buzz as it was an update from Miguel that was interesting. There was also a phone message for Brandi too. "Heay Brandi, it looks like Miguel got out of work with the Web Warriors earlier and he wants to tell us about it." Sam said. "I sent him the location where we are so he knows where to find it." Sam pointed out as he gave Brandi a smile.

"Looks like Miguel can visit us after all but I'm sure he'll be tired." Sam pointed out knowing working with SHIELD wasn't an easy task at all and sometimes it could be tough and rough. But you had to have the guts and skill for it when you were with SHIELD. That was certainly true with just about any team that you worked with, even the Avengers. "I think it'll be fun they always say three is a crowd." He pointed out still not sure what he wanted. Perhaps a smoothie along with some candy sweats to take back home would work.

She just smiled when she heard that Miguel just got done with his Web Warrior stuff and also their daughter will be coming as well. She was sure they are going to have tons of fun as always" then let's invite him then . She wanted actually know what happened on his missions since she also talked about what happened when she went on her paranormal stuff. She actually had some bandages on her arm from the last mission and she always seems to get injured during these since demons are usually very rough.

She knew although Miguel didn't quite understand the whole demon hunter stuff she knew that he always seem to worry about her and wanted to know that she was alright. She decided actually wait for Miguel and Kyra to get there and sits down in one of the outside chairs. She then looked towards Sam and decided to give him some small talk and maybe something really personal " Soo Sam has you and Ayna going on ?"

"Well that's a bit of a touchy subject." Sam admitted. "I know Anya's back in SHIELD and all but I feel like I should give her some space and time to adjust. Let her come to me when she's ready." Sam said as he thought about it, if she was ready anyways. He honestly wondered if it'd work out but he was trying hard, in fact the last girlfriend he had he had to break up with her since he saw she was cheating with another boyfriend which wasn't fair on his point, that was his life in Arizona, maybe one day he could take Brandi and Miguel there, but they better get used to the heat.

"I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. In fact I feel a little uncomfortable too." Sam admitted wishing things were better and would work out for them. It didn't take long before a message popped up on both their phones. It was Miguel in his civilian clothing as he had Kyra with him who was sleeping in her carry on bed. "Heay guys I am here. I tried to wake up Kyra who's napping but she slept the whole way." Miguel said as he put her in a seat hoping she'd at least wake up try and have Ice Cream. Maybe Brandi could try a better job than he had done so far. "And I have a story to tell you with the web warriors we were fighting someone named Rhino who was rampaging a part of the city." He pointed out in a low whisper so no one could hear them besides those two.

Brandi just nodded little towards Sam not wanting to press him even farther about Anya since she wouldn't want anyone else asking them personal questions about what happens on her side of the family.She was very private person herself and wanted mostly keep things to herself and thought it was very the best if she didn't talk to about unless it was if anything she kept this with just Miguel and sometimes Sam.

When Miguel arrived with Kyra she kissed him and then looked towards their Daughter and kissed her. She then sits back down and listened to Miguel's story about what happened during his fight with Web warriors which always interested her.She actually loved hearing about his missions but she always seem to worry about him.She just nodded bit " well let's get them ice cream then " She then got up and then goes towards counter and ordered her favorite ice cream she always gets which was her favorite.

Miguel smiled as he looked back at Brandi and Sam he had a few bruises but he knew his healing factor would be fine. "I'm fine Brandi I just got a few bruises but my healing factor will take care of them. Nothing out of the ordinary for me." he admitted knowing that things could've gotten worse but luckily they managed to stop the Rhino. "You should've heard about the time me and Cap stopped the Juggernaut he's way worse than the Rhino if you ask me." Sam said with a chuckle. "Didn't you almost get into trouble after that?" MIguel asked. "yeah I did." Sam said feeling like Miguel was just raining on his parade with that end of the question. Luckily he still remembered that Steve had stood up for the young hero and he hadn't forgotten that.

"I'll order for me and Kyra I hope she's at least awake for her first ice cream." Miguel said with a smile as he looked back at Brandi. He went over to order Kyra a vanilla ice cream in a cup and then got a sundae for himself. While Sam got a smoothie knowing some things had some milk in them which he couldn't take that easily since he was lactose in tolerate. "Ice cream sure sounds good right about now. Too bad I can only have it with soy milk." Sam admitted with a frown.

Brandi just listened to what Miguel was saying and noticed the bruises she was worried about him like always but she just relaxed when she was reassured that he was ok.She did some pretty dangerous stuff as well and both of them had the right to worry about and thankfully they both of come out each mission safe and sound.

She walked towards the counter and got strawberry matcha with almonds ,mango and kiwi. When miguel mention about Kyra having her first ice she just nodded and said " That is great and i am sure that Kyra will enjoy it " she was usually very protective over her and tried her best make sure she was safe. She then looked toward Sam as ordered his smoothie which she knew that he could eat.

"Yeah how about we get Kyra a strawberry one just for starters I don't want her to be upset or anything over it." Miguel said as Sam nodded understanding. Kyra had a lot of foods to try and strawberry wasn't usually that bad, it was just sweet for the most part. As Brandi ordered it Sam got his smoothie as he sat back down at the table to watch Kyra while Miguel got his and he was done too.

"Heay you guys I'm not sure if I proposed this earlier but what if you guys took a vacation with me in Arizona? I have my family down there and they were asking me to go there when Christmas comes...plus it'll be warm there." Sam offered knowing New York and other various cities could be freezing cold when Christmas comes. Though he'd have to tell Anya that he wasn't there he knew she would understand his sudden leave. Plus Sam missed his family it included, Jesse, his younger sister Kayleen, and as well as his mother too who were all decent people. His father Jesse was a Nova before him and he inherited his helmet from him too. "What do you say to that, Brandi do you want to go to Arizona when they give us Christmas off?" Miguel asked.
