On a Much Needed Vacation (Jamie, Bobby)

"Five more minutes, Jarvis." Tony moaned as he pulled the blankets over his head in the bed that he and Jamie had shared. Both Alaric an Bobby had their own rooms in the San Francisco home that he had. The main room was full of glass as it over looked the San Francisco bay from several miles away. It truley was a magnificent home with all the rooms in it and it certainly was a mansion. For the most part the house was closed up, Tony couldn't remember the last time he had been there. He had been a lot younger that's for sure. Not to mention, right about now, jet lag had kicked in for Tony as they had some time differences while they were out.

He knew as well that Jamie would be up by now it was about 8:00am their time. He sighed as he got up and out of bed stretching and yawning. "Sheesh it's bright in here with all those windows." Tony said as he got up to go and look for the family members of his. Alaric was no doubt in the kitchen playing video games on his PS 4 which was fine with him. "Jamie? Bobby you guys awake too?" He asked looking around not seeing them at first.

"Morning dad? You look like you got some jet lag there." Alaric said with a chuckle as Tony nodded. "Don't remind me. Alaric. And morning to you too" Tony added as in the room where they were staying Tony had his Ironman suit resting so he could get to it rather easily in case of an emergency. In his time there had been a group called the West Coast Avengers, here it looked like they hadn't even made the team yet, which was a big difference. Even more of a difference was Ultron wasn't here either and he hoped it'd stay that way. "I think I need some coffee first." He said as he came over and made some coffee for himself and took a sip for it. He wondered where Bobby and Jamie were. Were they touring the building? That would make sense to him.

Jamie was having breakfast which their human butler James cooked for her they were at their vacation house and were told to relax. she was having sunnyside up side of bacon which was what she wanted none of that fancy stuff. She was happy that they had some time with the other younger Avengers holding up the villains in city she had nothing to worry about unless some big thing happened to destory the world kind of thing. She heard Tony's voice call as he talked to their son Alaric but she continued to eat until she heard him come in " Morning Tony and Alaric "

The location of teenage son Bobby despite being told to take a break was working on something he was maintancing his armor which he brought with him also just in case they needed it. He was in the shed hovering over working really hard on with his breakfast which was brought out to him it was a banana and some chocolate toaster pasties. He worked really hard and didn't really wanted to stop but he was pulled to go aways but made sure that brought it with him since Tony got to bring his.

"Good Morning, Jamie, how did you sleep last night? I hope you didn't have any jet lag there." Tony asked as he looked up glad to see her as she came in. Tony was also interested in having some breakfast as it looked like Alaric had some cereal on his plate. "Good morning Mom! I don't know where Bobby is. I tried knocking on his door and texting him but I didn't get a response." Alaric said with a sigh wondering if BObby was doing his own thing or exploring. He didn't blame him for that but he wanted the whole family here which was true.

"I think I might know what get him out." Tony took out his phone as he began to text Bobby some interesting proposals. "Heay Bobby do you want to take a race later with your Ironman Armor against mine around San Francisco? We can see plenty of views that way. Also looser buys ice cream for all three of us." Tony pointed out knowing despite being the looser they at least got something good out of it. "Ice cream! Yeah we can try the foods out here in San Francisco too." Alaric said with a smile and a bit of a chuckle too.

Bobby heard his phone go off and looked towards it and smirked at the idea of race actually sounded fun to him and it will be chance for him to spend more time with his father that isn't work. He responds quickly " your on and tell Alaric i will be right there too " Jamie did indeed have some jet lag there she looked like she was really tired since it was still really early in morning for them. Bobby puts on his watch to get ready to summon his armor just in case his Dad wanted to race at this moment although he highly doubted it and he smiled towards his family " Morning mom dad and Alaric .."

Jamie just smiled towards Tony and responds to him " Yes slept well and maybe little bit its still kinda early where we live you know " She knew as heroes they didn't get to rest that much and to top that she was also has a job outside of being a heroine just like Tony.She was actually very greatful that they managed to get a break after all the things that they do it was something that was needed .

"Good morning Bobby." Tony greeted as he saw the other boy come forward. And Alaric paused his game and smiled, glad to see that they were all here and able to do things now. Perhaps later they would go exploring San Francisco? Alaric didn't want to be cooped up in the house all day and he had a feeling that he wasn't alone with that idea either. "And good morning also." Alaric said. "And yeah the time change was something to get used too. I think it's about 5:00am in New York time? Everyone would be sleeping still." Alaric said, agreeing with Jamie on that one. "Well if you guys want to race count me out I don't like heights...I'm glad I handled the airplane alright." He pointed out.

"Alright now that we're here we'll set the guidelines up for the race." Tony said as he looked out the kitchen windows. He could see some familiar sites in the distance that he knew wouldn't take them too long to reach heck maybe even do a little sight seeing"First one to go past Alcatraz and the golden gate bridge and back again to the house. Does that sound like a plan? And no cheating too." Tony pointed out knowing those sounded like fair grounds. Though Tony began to suit up as he had his black and yellow armor with him which had been lately one of his favorite ones to use. Once it encased him he was ready to go. Plus it was nice not having to jump into it for saving the planet every time.

Bobby just smirked at his father's challenge he was just competitive as his father. He suited up as well as his armor goes over his body and he knew about Alaic fear of heights although he usually picked on him for it because he thought it was funny.He then goes the rooftop so they can get ready for their race and flexed out even though it wasn't necessary with the armor being fixed to his muscles.He then looked towards his father " so what are the guidelines Dad " He listened to his answer about not cheating just smirked little bit " as long as you don't cheat either Dad and no dirty trick either " Bobby was ready if he did he was going to use the stuff in his armor like his taser which was in his wrist.

Jamie was glad to have the whole family there with them and though it would be great if they were to do something together. She wanted to see the race of course and just grinned and followed the two on the rooftop.Jamie always worried about them and didn't want something to happen like them getting into trouble " you guys be careful alright "Bobby smiled towards his mother and just nodded and waited for the que to get ready to start he hovered in place and rocketed off when Tony started.

"Yes we'll be alright Jamie I'll make sure we get home safely." Tony said with a soft nod. He didn't blame Jamie for worrying like that, sometimes things the super heroes did were dangerous, but Tony knew when there was a time for games and a time for being serious, this was a time for games. "We'll be back in about 15 minutes, Jamie." Tony pointed out. Alaric had also been to the roof to see the race but he couldn't say who was going to win he just hoped that it was a fair one.


"Alright Bobby, last one to the Golden Gate Bridge has a rusty bit of armor with them." Tony said as he put his mask down he began to blast off towards the bridge leaving a bit of a dust in his tracks knowing it wouldn't take long for Bobby to get off. "I wonder who will win mom? They seem pretty evenly matched. But I don't like flying one bit." Alaric said shaking his head. Everytime he went flying he usually ended up having a bad reaction or bad emotions tied with it. So they were always bad memories for him which he didn't like one bit. "I guess we'll have to wait and see." Alaric said as he got out some binoculars to see how far Tony was going and he was certain Bobby would want to do well too.
