A Day out in the Park (Brandi)

It felt good getting out of the Hellicarrier for a change, because of that it was something that he had wished they could do more often. Miguel found himself at the park as he was waiting for his wife Brandi to show since they had attempted to make a day for themselves. He looked up from the bench that he was sitting at noticing that there was still a bit of time before she would show up. She wasn't late so he wasn't entirely worried just yet. Plus she could always text him if something happened. Miguel stood up from his seat as he went over to the tree nearby as he began to climb it. Some of the kids were surprised at how skilled he was, and he chuckled at it as he sat in one of the tougher looking branches hoping that it wouldn't break on him.

Miguel was resting in Central Park, that was pretty much the closest and easiest thing you could find here. But many of the citizens that were there had no idea that there were super heroes living there. Also one from the future as well. It was about 1:00pm in the afternoon. The day had been involved in a lot of training on his part as Spider-Man with other younger heroes. They had been avoiding dangerous things like laser grids and obstacles that probably most people couldn't even think of.

"I hope she isn't late or busy doing something." He said trying not to worry that much but he knew that she would call if something was going on. He also hoped she was safe too so they could spend their day together. He thought they could spend some of it in the park and then go out for dinner. Which sounded like a good plan to him at least. Miguel had also come prepared if need be, he had his costume with him in case he needed into change his Spider-Man 2099 costume.

Brandi knew that Miguel would worry if she was late but she was getting them something and wanted their day to be good she wanted to get him some gifts and was preparing bag full of japanese snacks and other stuff and their lunch which was pumpkin soup with and some rare beef tips. . She for once was not busy for a change and had one of the other people take the long missions she was usually on. She goes on these very dangerous missions where she could possibly get killed or seriously injured.

She always keep him updated when she was ok everytime she got a change on some dangerous missions which she knew kept him happy.. She smiled and came in as he saids something about her being late or busy or something" or she wants to surprise you with a gift and lunch for our day out " She put down the food and gives him the bag of gifts. She actually hoped that he liked them not that she was worried that he won't or anything.

"Heay there Brandi I'm glad to see that you're ok." Miguel said as he jumped off from the branch that he had been sitting on with relative ease. He seemed to be used to those kinds of jumps. "How are you? I am glad we could spend some time together not in SHIELD." Miguel said as he had his usual sunglasses on that he kept on the really bright days. That was when he saw the treats that Brandi had gone out to go and get them something special. "Wow you didn't have to get a gift Brandi but you did." He said with a smile. It was true Miguel did get a bite to eat while in the hellicarrier food but nothing beat home cooking or food gifts from others.

He took out the pumpkin soup along with the japanese snacks they sure did look good. "Wow you went through all the trouble to get these? You didn't have too Brandi." He said. But that was when he remembered something as he gave her a soft kiss on the cheek as a thank you and a hello as well. "That was a thank you and a Hello. How about we start eating." Miguel said as he took his backpack out as he found a blanket stuffed into it and pulled it out for them to sit on. It was probably big enough for them to sit on but that was it. If Brandi had looked any further in his backpack you would've no doubt seen the Spider-Man costume in it too.

Brandi just smiled little she was just enjoying their day and there with nothing to worry about because she was with him. She was actually rarely scared of anything but that doesn't mean she is not fearless.There is whimpering not far from them as a dog sits there tied a post and some guy was quickly driving away as he leaves the poor thing.The dog was dirty and looked like it hasn't eaten for awhile as it lied down on ground curled on the pole.

The Dog towards to hopelessly go towards its owner as he drove away making loud crying sounds. Brandi looked up when she heard the sound and she stood up and then looked towards Miguel " did you hear the sound miguel ? "She waited on him to come first because something could go really wrong even she was demon hunter and could take down any normal bad guy.

Miguel was also enjoying his day as he hoped that he wouldn't have to change into Spider-Man any time soon. Well there were others spider heroes out and running around. So it wasn't anything bad if he didn't show up right away. That was when Miguel also heard the whimpering. It didn't sound like a human or anything but something else like an animal. Miguel's eyes looked around as he tried to figure out where the noise was coming from and that's when he saw the dog. His heart was broken, Miguel had never had any pets before since his family was large as is having three boys. But he saw the dog was chained up...what if no body wanted him? What if he had no home? He and Brandi could afford a dog, there was nothing wrong with that. "Heay Brandi over here, I saw a dog tied up. And I heard the noise too" He called out waving a hand for Brandi to come with him.

He came over to where the dog was, he looked like a german shepherd, they were beatiful dogs, he looked a little underfed but was otherwise healthy. No injuries or marks as far as he could see. Miguel also took his claws out hoping no one saw as he cut the dog free and next he also got an empty bowl out for water as he put it down for the german shepherd to drink out of if he was thirsty. "It's not right that someone left a dog let alone anyone like that." Miguel said as he hid his hands quickly until his talons went back. "Brandi do you think we could take care of the dog? I mean we are already taking care of ourselves and then Kyra will come along too at some point." Miguel said wondering if he was just babbling at this point.

Brandi quickly followed him and saw the dog as well she was really sad and angry that someone would do this too a poor animal. She didn't at times act but when you see pass her solic behavior when she is working she is a very compassionate. She just watched the animal drink and she still had some food on her and she gets a little plate and gives the dog some food.She saw that the dog was also hungry along with being thirsty as it eat the food happily as well.

She actually always wanted a dog and someday a family to take care and this will be start and she could even train it to go on mission so she didn't think Director Fury would mind if they brought the dog on the Helicarrier.She watched him eat and pets the dog on then just nodded little bit towards miguel when he asked her about taking care of this dog" of course Miguel we will give this dog a good home you know i always wanted a dog like this one " She saw it had no collar but it looked like it recently did at one time. The dog would good asset to her work and to also be a companion as well someone to be with when Miguel is out on missions or company while on them.

"Yes I agree having a dog around should be a good thing for us if you ask me." Miguel said with a soft nod in agreement. He looked down at the dog who looked like he was doing better. THey would feed him regularly to make sure that he got the food that he needed so he wouldn't be malnourished. Though if they were to keep the dog, they needed to do a few things first, like a name and who would watch the dog. Miguel didn't mind having the dog in his room as long as he was well behaved. "Well if we're going to keep the dog what should we name it? I don't have a clue on names." Miguel said.

He was a little bit worried about Nick Fury with the dog and his reaction too it. He probably knew the first part where Fury would get mad about it. But he also knew that Fury might allow them since they were pretty responsible heroes. Not to mention Miguel and Peter both knew things about responsibility so it came easily for him. He also wondered if this would help them get ready for a child if they were ever going to have one. This dog could be an easy way to find out. "We can bring him to the hellicarrier and put beds in both our rooms. He can stay with either one of us if he wants." Miguel offered.

She smiled little and nodded little bit and looked towards the dog who looked really happy and she placed her hand on the dogs head and pets him she wanted to take this dog with them. When Miguel had asked about they should call she just smiled little bit " let's call him Blaze i think it would suit him well" She didn't think Director Fury would mind as long they had control of this animal and made sure it didn't cause trouble and it would be a really big responsibility for them. She knew it would be a good thing for them and Kyra would have a pet waiting for her and it will be very good protector

"I agree I like the name a lot, Brandi it fits him well." Miguel said with a smile. It was interesting how the day turned out today. First they met up not having much planned but to spend the day together. Then they ate lunch and managed to have a surprise on their hands and met a nice and kind dog. Miguel liked the name very much and it was a good idea. Still he wondered if the dog noticed anything different with the two humans? Miguel had spider powers, while Brandi was a demon huntress. Still it didn't matter a whole lot, they would be a family. "You are right on with the name, Brandi I think the name fits him well. How about we go to the hellicarrier? He can sleep in either one of our rooms tonight. I think we let him choose." Miguel pointed out knowing that it would be a long day for them but he had a funny feeling he'd like it as much as Blaze. And he put a hand on Blaze's fur feeling how soft it was.

She was glad he approved of the name she then speaks to the dog " lets go boy we now have a new home and we share room remember Miguel now that we are married you know " The Dog looked really happy to see humans again.Brandi made dog followed her towards her car and she wouldn't care if Blaze got dog fur on her seat and she opened the door and and Blaze jumped inside of the car and curled up.
