Family Time (Katherine)

It had been a long day at work from SHIELD as Kaine's arms and body ached from training. That was something that he was used to by now but doing it day in and day out was enough for him to have it call quits at some point. kaine was web swinging his way through New York as he arrived on the street that their apartment was on. It was later in the afternoon maybe closer to 3 or 4 in the afternoon. The sun was still up and hadn't set just yet as the day wasn't quite over yet. He arrived at the roof top as he took off his mask seeing he was safe now and climbed in through the window, sure he could've used the front door, but this was just as fun.

"Katherine? Are you home? I'm here back from work." Kaine asked as he looked around. It was clear May had been here and was taking the cousins out on a walk through the park so they had a little bit of time to themselves. He sat down at the couch feeling his legs sting with pain. His healing factor would work eventually to release the pain and remove it. It was something he had been used to for awhile now. He took out his phone wondering if he could get a message there from Katherine, wondering where she was. He also hoped she was alright.

"Heay katherine I'm home from SHIELD. I am in the living room." Kaine said wondering if Katherine was in the office area that they both shared. Kaine often went there to get work done from SHIELD and likewise could be said towards her. So far it was quiet. Once he was done he felt as if he could almost drift off to sleep of course this left him open if a prank were to be played. His spidey sense was shut off in this house unless there was unseen danger.

Katherine was cooking their dinner knowing that Kaine will be needing it after his long days. She heard him in the living room as her ears just perked towards the voice. She always made sure the apartment was safe for her and family which were very important to her. She was using the new machine that was installed in their apartment to make it easier for them to make food.She had chosen to make Steak and potatoes hers is rare and Kaine is how he likes it. She decided to actually call him with a smile"Kaine come to dinner you must be starved after long day of training . "

Kaine perked up a bit as if he looked relieved and glad to see that Katherine was alright. She seemed like she had been busy cooking away that evening and it sure did smell good. He had missed that earlier as he walked into the room. He quickly got up besides his tired body he moved forward and came over to give her a kiss on the cheek. "Heay there Katherine and yeah today was a long day. I think if I hadn't heard your voice you would've found me asleep on the couch." Kaine said as he sat down on the table realizing that his Scarlet spider suit was still on. He quickly removed it showing there were clothes underneath. "Sometimes SHIELD makes us work too hard...and because of that I'm taking tomorrow off since I haven't had a day off in ages." Kaine admitted knowing the last time they yelled at him for skipping but this one had been serious. "How are you Katherine? I guess that's enough talk about me though." He admitted feeling a bit bad.
