PERSONALITY Although Laura’s capable of pretending to be a normal person, she is rather emotionless when around people she doesn’t have to pretend for the sake of others. She has poor social skills, to help her fit in Laura tries mimicking the behaviour of others. She needs someone to teach her how to be human and explain things that she is unfamiliar with, like mourning someones death, or not to take things for their literal meaning. . Due to her parroting nature, Laura appears to base her personality on those around her up until a point, it’s really hard for her to fake something she doesn’t understand which can mean she has trouble blending in. Laura can be blood thirsty, the closest thing she feels to joy is fighting, she lives for it and will take whatever is thrown her way if she gets to fight someone strong, she its difficult to show restraint, and impossible once she has been triggered. HISTORY Laura Kinney was created in a laboratory as apart of the facility trying to replicate the weapon X program which was how wolverine was created, however having no luck the people in charge turned to a world renowned scientist known as Sarah Kinney who promised them that they would get results. After Sarah worked with the sample of wolverine’s genes she discovered it was damaged, and would be unable to salvage the Y chromosome after twenty two attempts Sarah proposed the creation of a female clone and though her request was denied at first Sarah still went ahead and produced a viable female subject that prompted Sutter to reconsider his views thus Laura was created. Doctor Zander Rice punished Sarah for her initial insubordination forced Sarah to act as a surrogate mother for Laura. Laura’s life was far from normal, she didn’t have friends and didn’t attend school she was raised in captivity Laura was trained to become a weapon, She didn’t have a name like other girls only a designation X-23. Sarah did her best to ensure that Laura retained some humanity but her efforts appeared to be in vain. Laura was just seven years old when she was subjected to radiation poisoning without anesthesia in order to accelerate her mutant gene and forcibly extract her claws and coat it in Adamantium. When Laura started to show emotions, Doctor Zander Rice blamed her sensei, one of the few people who treated Laura with kindness. Laura was tested with a chemical compound called Trigger scent. The results caused Laura to kill mercilessly anything in her path and thus she murdered her best friend & sensei in cold blood. The doctor replaced Laura’s sensei with a woman by the name of Kimura who would become her new Handler as well, the woman was harsh and strict. Laura was eleven years old when she was sent on her first field mission to kill presidential candidate Greg Johnson. Laura was assigned the mission as an advertising ploy. Laura’s success caused many other missions to follow; as her services were sold to the highest bidder Laura was left emotionally stunted. She traveled all over the world going to Las Vegas, Japan, Colombia, the congo even Saudi Arabia. One day Laura was given a mission and was assisted by Doctor Zander Rice when the mission went wrong, in an attempt to avenge his father’s murder whom wolverine was guilty of He abandoned Laura on the mission, but she survived the overwhelming odds and returned to the Facility. After her return her sensei Kimura brutally tortured Laura for not coming back with the doctor. Laura had endured the punishment and survived. Laura’s life resumed to normal of training when not on missions, one day Laura received an unexpected visit from her mother Sarah Kinney. Laura assumed she was going to be sent on a mission only to be used to help Sarah find her niece Megan who had been kidnapped. Laura found and rescued Megan with ease while Doctor Zander Rice persuaded Sutter to hand control of the program over to him who then secretly ordered Laura to kill Sutter and his family. Laura was able to kill Sutter and his wife, but was unable to kill their Son instead, she allowed him to live. Later, Doctor Zander Rice revealed to Sarah a chamber with Dozens of incubation pods containing female clones before he fired her. Before she fled with Laura Sarah gave her one last mission to destroy the pods and kill Doctor Zander Rice. Laura did succeed in her mission, but the doctor was able to exact his revenge on Sarah from beyond the grave as he had previously exposed Laura to the trigger scent that sent Laura into a rage that caused her to kill Sarah, as she laid dying in the snow Sarah confessed to being Laura’s mother and told her she wanted Laura to run far away, to be free and be a normal girl she then gave Laura her name. Laura attempted to get as far from the facility as possible, but was confronted by her Handler Kimura, after a long and difficult fight Laura won by a landslide…literally. Laura eventually traveled to San Francisco and tracked down Megan & her Aunt Debbie she introduced herself as Sarah’s daughter and moved in with them. Laura found normal life peculiar and struggled to adjust so she trained, but normality wasn’t meant to last for Laura when she discovered Megan’s boyfriend was an Agent for the Facility who had been instructed to manipulate her into killing Megan and Debbie by using the trigger scent. Luckily the Agent clutzed up and spilled the trigger scent on himself resulting in his death, just as Facility agents stormed into the house led by Kimura. Laura managed to get Megan & Debbie to safety after handcuffing Kimura to a radiator and then trigging to blow up the house Kimura was in, buying her family some time. Laura knew that while she was around Megan & Debbie her only family wouldn’t be safe, so she parted ways and decided to hunt the man who made her creation possible…Wolverine, with the intent to kill. Laura thought she would try and find Logan for answers to what she was, and what purpose she could have, until she was recaptured by non other than Kimura, Laura endured agony back at the facility, she had her adamantium pulled out experiencing more pain than anyone in the world probably endured, what was left was bone claws. Laura eventually lost her free will and humanity and became a killing machine, after years of missions she finally regained just enough free will to want to escape and so she did, her memories dim only the memory of one man stuck in her head, logan. Powers Laura possesses super human senses that are acute in nature and compareable to those of certain animals. She is capable of seeing great distances with perfect clarity beyond that of ordinary human beings. She retains the same level of clarity in near total darkness, her sense of hearing is also enhanced in the same detail. Laura is able to use her highly developed sense of smell to track her prey by scent with great accuracy, despite conditions like the scent being eroded by natural factures like the weather. Laura’s muscles produce a lot less fatigue toxins during any physical activities than most humans, she can exert herself by running a full twenty-four hours before fatigue begins to impair her, she also has enhanced agility, body coordination that are greatly enhanced beyond that of human levels. Laura’s reflexes are also enhanced beyond the normal limits of human athletes, she reacts to and can slice a bullet with her claws from mid range. Laura possesses regenerative healing abilities that allows Laura to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue a lot faster than human beings. Laura is able to fully heal from injuries like bullet wounds, slashes, puncture wounds within a matter of minutes, Laura’s healing factor is developed to a point she is able to reattach severed limbs like her leg, she is also able to regrow an entire arm of her own although Laura’s healing fluctuates depending on her own mental health, wounds inflicted on her heals very quickly, but self-inflicted wounds will remain visible for a while. Laura’s healing factor also allows her to be greatly resistant to poisons and most drugs, she can be affected by some drugs, such as tranquilizers if she is exposed to a massive dose, her healing also allows her to be immune to all earthy diseases and infections, but not otherworldly, because the healing factor heals cells and tissues in the body Laura is provided with an extended lifespan by slowing the effects of the aging process. Bone claws: Laura’s skeleton includes two retractable bone claws in each arm and one in each foot that she can extend and tract at will. The claws are housed under the skin and muscle unsheathing them causes her skin to tear and blood, but the wounds will heal quickly. Laura can unsheathe any number of claws at once, although she must keep her wrist and feet straight at the moment the claws are naturally sharp and tougher than normal human bone, she is able to use these bone claws to cut through most types of flesh and natural materials. Weakness Laura was created with a trigger scent that causes her to lose control and unwillingly kill those around her, it sends her into a berserker rage in which she is unable to distinguish friends or foe, she will kill everyone she sees. She is also weak to powerful energy blast, and due to the fact, she doesn’t share an adamantium skeleton like her father, she is much more vulnerable to decapitation than her father. Laura’s healing factor can temporary be nullified if carbonadium is introduced into her system it’s poisonous to her and stops her from healing Laura also has a weakness to sensory overload because of her enhanced senses something like the hulk thunder claps could deafen her until she heals and it would almost kill her due to her heighten sense of hearing. Cutting off the air supply can kill Laura, with the healing factor only prolonging her agony. Laura is a lot more damaged than Logan mentally, her mind is a lot easier to break into and manipulate thanks to the conditions of her captivity, although not really a weakness in terms of powers it does hinder her abilities to blend, she is unfamiliar with pop culture and things like sarcasm, she is cold and robotic and takes things literal.
