Being the heir to the throne in Wakanda did have his challenges, there were often times where he wanted to escape the constant daily chores of training to often be on his own. He truly felt free once he was in the Wakandan jungle. Of course his father would always warn him about dangers that were in the area. "You need to watch out for the rebellious tribes, they will always try to stick a weapon right through your heart when you're not looking." One of the guards had mentioned that to him not once, twice or even three times but it sure annoyed him since he thought they couldn't trust him to be left alone for a few hours out in the wilderness. there he could test his strength and see just how he could survive on his own, it'd make him feel a bit independent.
"The skill full panther hunts in the night. Ready to pounce on anything that moves." Azari said in a soft whisper so silent that he was certain that only he'd hear it. As Azari moved across he climbed up a rope like vine before up onto a tree and crouched in a position so he'd try to hide himself in the shadows of the leaves. Only his eyes could be seen through it before he jumped down finding the ground empty as he landed with a loud thud. He half expected something like a panther to be there. But the only thing that was there had only been a set of tracks left by one that had been there maybe a few minutes ago.
"I hope no one saw that." Azari said brushing himself off looking a bit annoyed by that. He carefully began to follow the panther tracks hoping to actually see one in the wild. Of course that was easier said than done. he also realized he might not be the only one out in Wakanda tonight too as the full moon was over head.
To say Becka was glad to be back in Wakanda would be a large understatement. She was thrilled to be home, her second home that was. Compared to New York, she truly felt free and wild here in the wilderness surrounding Wakanda's kingdom, where she could move around without smell asphalt, pollution, and all the noisy of the city, which made her cringe all the time and longing for the wilderness every time she was gone for too long a period. Which was why she was more than glad to have taken a trip up to the Canadian wilderness where she met her fellow feral mutant, Rina. They had gotten along rather well and Becka hoped they could team up one day.
That night, Becka was moving through the jungle, swift and silent, barely making the foliage shudder or move as she passed. She had traveled quite a long way from the United States, traveling home to visit for a week or so and actually spend more time with her family, in particular she was hoping to have some time with her brother. Despite being back, Becka had only gotten to be around Azari from time to time but nothing too lengthy. So, she was moving with quiet eagerness to finally reconnect with Azari, actually get to catch up with him and tell about what her life had been like away from Wakanda, knowing he had expressed curiosity about it when they had spoken a time or two, but neither ever having the time nor schedule to have a lengthy conversation. 'Almost there.' She thought.
But as Becka slid down from a tree branch, she found herself charging from the thick underbrush and being too late to stop herself when someone came within her sight. She let out a surprised gasp and collided right into Azari, knocking him and herself to the ground, Becka tumbling a bit and muttering something in a lost, rough sounding language as she tried to get her bearings. She came to a stop, landing on her front and groaning a little, shaking her head as the world spun in her vision for a few seconds before becoming right again. Once it did, Becka lifted her head to look to see who or what she had hit, surprised to see her older brother then and there.
"Azari!" She exclaimed with concern, scrambling to her feet and coming to his side, "Are you alright? I didn't see you until the last moment."

Before Azari knew what hit him his body went with a loud thud towards the ground. His first reaction was it had been an enemy like Klaw or one of the enemies that Wakanda had known for so long. However he felt his body freeze as the wind had been knocked out of him for a bit. He thought he heard a voice, it didn't register to him as an enemy but he realized it was in fact a very close ally of his and family member too. Finally he said, "Becka!" as he managed to get some air in his lungs as he felt a bit of pain.
"I'm alright really in fact I thought an enemy or a bad guy hit me at first, then it was you." Azari said as he started to stand. He felt himself starting to come back slowly, thank goodness for his healing factor in this case. As he stood he felt the pain fade too. "I guess you're here to get away from the pressures of Wakandan life too? Believe it or not, I actually found something really rare while I was out here. Panther tracks!" he explained as he brushed away some of the grass not too far from where he had fallen from moments ago. Deep in the wakandan earth panther tracks could be seen. Azari had always wanted to meet a panther, but he'd settle with the panther god who comes and visits them every once in awhile through meditation.
"I'm sure you're going to say 'Don't you have anything better to do? A Prince needs to be ready for one day he'll be king.'" Azari said in a voice that almost sounded like T'Challa's, voice from the mimicry. It was something he had practiced on while his father wasn't around. "I am still a kid too, we have to have our freedom too." Azari pointed out. He was thrilled to be king one day, yes but he figured it wouldn't happen any time soon while T'Challa still had the title. Besides, his biggest fear was he'd wouldn't be cut out for being king. T'Challa and T'Chaka, had always been better kings than he.
When Azari said he was alright, Becka was rather relieved carefully grabbing his arm and helping the young prince back onto his feet. At least their family was always tougher than it appeared to be and a quick check put her concerns at rest. Now, it was her brother who began to talk, if even ramble and jumping to conclusions about some things, which only made the younger of the two royal family smile slightly.
"First off, good to see you too brother." Becka chuckled softly, resting her hands on her hips. "And I'm not here to escape anything of Wakandan life Azari, I'm here to actually live it for once. I'm only just returning home from New York City, and to be honest I've been rather eager to have any time here at home." Becka could understand why Azari tended to get so frustrated when it came to having little time to just be a teenager. Being the prince regent was a lot to have on your shoulders, no doubt pressure mounting as one got older. But Becka knew she could probably ease some of his worries, "And I wouldn't say such things Azari, specially considering I myself have heard those things now that I've been back home and settling in once more." She explained to him.
To get his mind off the concerns of being the heir, Becka moved closer to look at the track herself, wondering if maybe they could track it. Focusing, she allowed herself to shift to her more primal state, just enough it wouldn't cause her to go all feral and risk harming her own family member. "Maybe you can still see one in person Azari. I'll bet I can track it for us." Becka said with a grin, showing her elongated fangs among her normal teeth, crouching down to sniff around the area before she picked up a trail. It wasn't too old, not fresh but she could still track it.
"Come on brother!" Without waiting for a response Becka hurried off, intending to follow this trail and help her brother have an opportunity to see and maybe meet a panther in person.

like Wakanda around. I'd like to visit it one day to see what you were like...He also mentioned something of Dinosaurs living there too? I thought they were all extinct!" Azari said knowing that last part might not be true at all from what everyone had been taught at school in Wakanda and probably other north american schools too.
"Maybe you're right at least me doubting myself anyways." Azari said as he listened to what Becka had to say. She looked down at where the panther tracks were in the dirt. It probably had rained the night before. The smell of rain was no longer in the air but you could still see puddles, or even rain drops on some of the trees, where there was shade. They hadn't evaporated or disappeared yet. While Azari was distracted with his surrounding nature, and enjoying it a bit he heard Becka yell something at him and in an instant she was gone.
"Heay wait for me!" Azari said. "You may have your feral form but I can still be like the Black Panther to an extent." Azari said as he quickly picked up his speed to try and catch up to Becka. Luckily he couldn't loose her in the thick under brush as he saw her scent as clear as day since it was so fresh. As for the Panther that might be another story. As Azari ran forward on his feet he was starting to loosen the gap between Becka and himself through the woods. On occasions he jumped off of rocks and roots that stuck out of the ground like it was ease, he had done this all of his life.
As Azari and Becka moved through the forest, Azari froze as he heard a low growl come from the trees nearby as he saw yellow eyes watching them. This had to be it! It had to be the Panther. "Becka!" He said not too loudly for the panther to hear him but enough for her to hear him. The panther didn't seem to care all that much as he sat up top within a tree with fresh kill at hand like he was eating an afternoon snack. You almost couldn't see him right away because he blended in with the shadows. Azari would've blown right past him.
Becka hadn't entirely listened to what Azari was saying about the Savage Land or of visiting it. She had maybe only heard a third of what he had said at all when she had been examining the tracks before she had taken off to follow the scent of that panther. It just didn't seem right to her that her older brother didn't get to see a panther face to face or at least interact with them. Their ancestors had been doing that for years, sometimes even able to command them from years of training. It only seemed fitting the future Black Panther and king should have such an interaction.
But she easily moved through the thick underbrush and thickly growing trees with relative ease, as if Becka had never left Wakanda in her life. Fact was, the Savage Lands had been no different. She had learned to use her environment to her advantage and for traveling like she would have here, she just was far more use to both open and thickly growing places than this. And far more humid like environments. So the wet areas did somewhat trip her up but did not stop her from traveling until she too had spotted the panther and slowed her pace.
"I see it too." Becka assured her brother softly, not taking her eyes off that dark shape as it began moving and no doubt would be rather protective of its meal. "Just move in slowly, but keep some distance." Becka warned gently, giving a quick glance towards Azari before she shifted closer on the tree branch she rested on, letting out a soft growl towards the panther, trying to keep it calm.

"I wonder if Mom or Dad ever saw a panther before? I wouldn't be surprised by it." Azari said knowing he probably knew the answer to that one already. Azari was well aware by now how Panther's moved. He had spoken to their god many times and saw how well he moved around. But he knew one mistake might set off the panther. They were just like her, calm and wise one minute, but angered you will get the wraith of the panther the next minute. Azari was watching it carefully as the black feline stood. It looked like it could run any minute if he made the wrong move. He gave a soft shushing noise to it almost as if calming an infant at the same time. Carefully, he put a hand out on one branch as he climbed quickly towards it.
Once he climbed a little closer towards the creature, it seemed like a miracle that it hadn't run away just yet. Perhaps it knew something was coming or at least something good. Azari knew he was risking a lot by doing this, in fact he could see Becka telling him no to it also. Finally he put his hand out, out stretched so far that his hand was right in front of it and let the panther sniff it. He wondered if their father had ever come across a panther, or even their mother at this point. After a couple more warm breaths he saw that the Panther looked a bit calmer and sat back down.
"Heay Becka it's ok to come up, he sniffed me... At least I think it's a he...I can't tell." Azari said knowing he'd have to look underneath to figure that out. Azari only gueesed by the size of the creature and it sure was large compared to other animals. "And yeah I know I probably would've had my hand ripped off too...That was a little close." Azari pointed out knowing it could've been worse with Becka rushing him to the hospital next.
For a long, tense moment Becka remained still and watched her older brother get nearer to the panther. She knew the panthers were often their companions, fighting alongside those of Wakanda for many years but that did not mean some could easily reject that potential companionship. So, Becka remained ready in case the panther got aggressive and decided not to see her brother as an ally and friend but another nuisance attempting to invade its territory. Luckily, this was not the case today causing Becka to sigh softly in relief.
Smiling softly, she gave a soft nod as her body relaxed. "Brother, I would like to see you do this same thing but face to face with the ancestors of many of the large wild cats in the world, the saber-toothed tiger." She mused, not really meaning for him to try. She herself had come face-to-face with such creatures many times and even helped train them from kittens to be hunting companions much like they made companionship with the panthers. "Many of the tribes in the Savage Land have long tamed sabers much like Wakandans train panthers, so there is not much difference from here and the Savage Land. Except that one is more modern than the other."
But nevertheless she too moved in closer, gently patting the panther's head, giving a soft purr towards it before finally dropped back down to the ground. "But Azari, I think you need better training with running. Seems I can still easily outrun you." She teased him as her appearance reverted back to normal.

"Yes I'd like to go up against a saber tooth tiger. I have seen father tussle a panther, now it is my turn with some other feline ancestors." T'Challa said with a chuckle. Of course with the panther it had been an understanding that it was a friendly fight between the beasts, he knew that his father would never kill such a creature since they were so sacred in Wakanda surely it would've spelled doom for them. He sounded pretty excite for the idea. "I think I might like the savage lands, to me the Savage lands sounds well...more like Wakanda but a jungle than large cities in the middle of it." Azari said realizing he might be too loud for the panther. The black feline was still sitting calmly in the tree as it ate its snack. Azari couldn't tell what it's dinner was since it was a hunk of meat from its side, it could've been from any wild creature that lived in the jungle.
"Aw come on I may not be the fastest runner but I can at least pull off some neat electrical attacks to slow some people down." Azari pointed out. Sure the siblings had their differences, but they came from the same background and the same family. Even if Becka grew up mostly in the Savage Lands, Azari hadn't changed his idea on her being his sister. He like the idea of her being his sister, and would make sure that she would always be there as family. They would no longer be apart. Maybe they would be a bit protective of each other, but Azari would back off of course once Becka told him too. "I'm surprised the panther has stayed this long, Becka he seems content in his tree. Maybe he's braver than we think he is." Azari pointed out.
"Azari, the sabers are a lot bigger and stronger than panthers, it would take all the skills in your arsenal to take one down. Even the Savage Lands' strongest human fighters struggle with such creatures." Becka pointed out to her brother, knowing from experience how difficult it was to wrestle a large cat. Perhaps here killing such an animal was taboo, but in the Savage Land if the saber toothed cat was not tamed it was kill or be killed, survival was the number one rule in such a land. Perhaps that was why, with her primal state, she had felt a little more at ease that her survival was certain, considering she became as savage as many of the prehistoric creatures.
But, Becka couldn't help chuckling softly. "Azari, I'm pretty sure both of us could do quite a fair bit of damage with our powers and skills combined." She assured him, before grinning teasingly at her older brother, "But it appears being raised in the Savage Land gave me an advantage over you in certain areas." She mused, coming over to lightly elbow her brother before shifting her pack on her back, feeling it sliding out of place slightly. "Now, how about we hurry back to Wakanda? I need to at least put my pack away so it doesn't get ruined." Becka told him before sprinting off towards the city, not waiting for much of an answer.

"Ok so we'll head back...By the way I'll have to show you my favorite hiding spots when I have the chance. I doubt dad or mom know about it. But I go there to get away from things from time to time." Azari pointed out knowing he was bound to have plenty of hiding spots around the main throne area or even their own home since Azari was there a lot. If anything he wanted to show Becka what she missed out on. Wakanda was different from when she was a baby and they've grown so much in technology since she was last there. However there were some things that haven't chaged like the Black Panther's guards, Azari knew not to mess with them unless you wanted to get a Wakandan spear in your side.
"Alright let's go back to Wakanda." Azari said as she started to sprint off. He quickly grabbed a hold of a vine nearby as he began to swing like he was a monkey or in those older movies like Tarzan. Finally once he got enough momentum off of them he jumped off into a sharp run to try and close the distance between him and his sister. It wasn't long before the walls of Wakanda came up. They were normally invisible to outsiders, but since it was just Becka and Azari they were rather clear. The high tech city stood as proud as ever as they got close to the gates, they would have to no doubt get in them once again but Azari was certain that the guards would recognize the two royal children who were protecting the entrances for vehicles and humans from getting in that way. "Here's the first stop Becka the guards." He said wondering if things would go smoothly, hopefully that was the case.
Getting through the jungle was really no problem for the likes of Becka. She easily flipped, jumped, and wove around the trees, limbs, and shrubs, as if it came second nature to her, her reflexes acting on their own accord almost as she moved, occasionally having to use a vine to swing on. At least here in Wakanda she had far greater access to the wilderness despite the city of Wakanda itself being a bit more like New York, with more natural settings to it. Yet, the people of the country respected the land and the animals, integrating some of it even into the modern times which was what she liked so much about her original home.
Once they were arriving towards one of the many entrances into the city, as usual closely guarded by the likes of the Wakandan Royal Guard, Becka finally began to slow her pace. "Yes I see them brother." She said with a smile, taking a few deep breathes for a moment. She wasn't exactly tired but she did want to get some breathe back before they entered the city. "It still feels so strange walking back into this place, especially after not being here for most of my life." Becka murmured, looking up at one of the most advanced cities in the world, their home. "But, it is the only city in the world I feel the most comfortable with." She added.
The younger of the two royal heirs moved forward, the guards giving their traditional salute to the two children, recognizing them almost immediately. They needed no introduction as the wall opened just enough for them to pass through.

Over the years the leaders of Wakanda have kept people out, their grandfather was no different with that tradition. outsiders weren't welcome except for a select few who were leaders of other countries who were ambassadors but other than that they were clean and most of the people here were safe in Wakanda's walls. They didn't have much to worry about in their life style. But when their father came into power, he did keep the idea for awhile then something changed in T'Challa that allowed him to bring in a select few. Was it being with the Avengers? No one knows exactly what it was but the Avengers were now guests whenever they came to Wakanda.
"That is good that you feel comfortable here, Becka. I'm sure mom and dad, and myself would do whatever we can to make it more comfortable for you to live here." Azari said with a smile. As the guards gave a Salute Azari gave the familiar Wakanda symbol that everyone knew so well. He crossed his arms in front of his chest giving an x towards them like his father would've done out of respect. Once it was done he followed after Becka.
"Becka where do you want to go now? We could go back to the palace but I'm sure dad is stuck doing his meetings. I don't know where mom is." Azari pointed out knowing that there was a lot they could do. They could even take the long way back to the palace if Becka wanted to do that.
