"No, everything isn't alright Sam." Anya finally snapped, unable to hold back much. "For all the good we do in the world there's always some other criminal, some other villain, some other evil organization out to do something bad. Like you said, there is a line there but no one is ever the winner because you can't defeat something that needs to be there." Anya turned towards him as he hovered nearby, her eyes full of anger and sorrow, "And no matter what we do, people we love, the things we love, always end up torn away from us. All this life does is bring us endless pain and vice versa for those we try to protect.
Perhaps Anya was thinking too negatively, perhaps she was just being over board in her observations. The fact of the matter was this was what her views were changing into. They were no longer optimistic and positive, that part of her had been torn away and she felt like there was really nothing left to protect on her part. Maybe reality had just finally caught up to the young woman and gave her a big, hefty slap of a reality check in the face that she was beginning to accept compared to the ignorance of her youth.
Any other words she had to say immediately got caught in her throat, Anya staring at Sam when he blurted those last words out. Did he...really say that? She was left in shocked silence, merely staring at the man before her as he hovered upside down, almost reminiscent of Peter or Kaine when they did the same thing on occasion. Impulse soon took over however, and before she was thinking Anya had gently grabbed the back of Sam's head and kissed him on the lips for a moment. But it was only then did her reason catch up and she was frozen in greater shock before she quickly stepped back, "That...I shouldn't have done that."

Sam's eyes went wide although she couldn't see them under his helmet they glowed a deep blue that radiated off the night sky as he looked back at her. He finally reverted himself after Anya let go. That Kiss it shocked him beyond believe and it probably did the same too. "Anya it's alright." He said trying at least to attempt to comfort her but he felt he had done a poor job. He hovered behind her and put his hands on her shoulder. "I was a bit shocked, but I like it. I think if anything we could do good at being boyfriend and girlfriend. I know this sounds odd but someone I met, another Nova said it'd be good if we had a boyfriend or girlfriend. But I won't press it if you're not interested." He admitted.
Sam also thought about things her as he thought about things in his past, Sam would be a boring kid growing up without having his father around and to tell them about the Nova Force. If he didn't have a helmet or anything he'd just be a regular average kid and that really wasn't a story worth telling was it. He regretted all those days he felt bad for ignoring his father and he knew finding him would be the only thing to put his mind at ease. "You know Anya without my helmet I'd just be some boring kid walking down the street and probably be going to college probably. I did go for a few years already but I have the Nova force with me now just as you have your spider powers. You'd be...well normal too." He admitted as he seemed to be at a loss for words here.
"Me and my big mouth." He said feeling like he had already said to much maybe even offended her at this point. "Maybe I shouldn't have said any of that." Sam said as he took off his helmet showing a bit of a tired and weary face but a familiar one to Anya at this point since he had been behind it the whole time. She could definetly see his brown eyes and black hair, though it had been a bit messed up from wearing the helmet the whole time.

"No. That...this can't be happening." Anya said with a shake of her head, shouldering Sam's hands off her as she stepped away from the young Nova. "Sam, we're not going to be anything beyond friends. Hell, I haven't even talked to you for four years up until this point. We hardly know each other anymore. At least, you'd hardly recognize the woman beneath this hero get-up." Anya told him, her tone serious and guarded, seeming to be putting up walls to keep Sam from really getting to her like he just had.
Anya could feel herself becoming steeled to these emotions, ones she didn't want to admit nor want to feel. Getting too close...someone else could die around her or maybe just be seriously injured, but it was something she didn't want to think about. "Being normal would be a cake walk over this Sam." She muttered turning away, closing her eyes for a moment as her fists clenched tightly. "Only reason I have my powers, or most of them at least, is because I happened to be in the wrong place at the right time. Miguel should have just let me die that day...or just healed me and called it a day." Anya knew Sam would not know who she meant, knowing it was not the Miguel of the Web Warriors she was speaking of. Rather, it was a different man, a magic user who gave her the spider tattoo visible on her upper arm.
"No, I just shouldn't have allowed the shock and my impulsiveness take over. " Anya said flatly as she shook her head. "I should go, it's getting late. I got lessons to come up with for my gym class on Monday, last thing I need is to be exhausted in the morning." Anya said, raising a hand to prepare to leave.

"But Anya-" Sam was cut off as he heard her speak. He was frustrated and confused. Some how he still had hope that he could hold onto the chance that they could possibly have that kind of relationship but he had a feeling that Anya was being stubborn or hard to get at this point. As she gave him her reasons on why he began to understand why she acted like this. She was afraid that someone might get hurt or injured, or even death. Sam wouldn't let that happen he'd make it a promise. Being a Nova was pretty much a death sentence, so Anya had to be aware of that already since he had probably told her the warnings and dangers that came with it. But SHIELD had helped. And so did all of his new friends.
"Fine be that way, if you want to be stubborn and alone I won't hold you back." Sam said feeling the anger and putting a huff to add to it as he put his helmet back on his head. His eyes lit up a bright blue to show that the Nova Force was working. "if you want to come find me when you're ready to talk you know where to look. I'm sorry if I made a mistake even trying to talk. I thought we could rekindle a relationship but clearly not." He said and with that he blasted out of there before she could see tears swelling up in his eyes. All that was left was a hint of blue where his Nova Force had been and it slowly faded to nothing. However the direction he was going it was not to the hellicarrier but towards the ocean. One of his favorite spots to think was on Lady Liberty. It was quiet there and they had a good view of New York City.
Ooc: Aw what a bad way to end the thread but I'm sure these two will meet up again soon!
