PERSONALITY Rebecca Lebeau was and still is pretty much a daddy's girl. She has really only ever known her father Gambit or Remy Lebeau since she was young. Rebecca never really got a chance to know her mother who died while she was very young, at a very young age to add to that. Rebecca was pretty much treated like a princess in the Theives Guild. Everyone envied her as Gambit's daughter walked through, but Rebecca made sure that her other family members like Oliver were taken care of or not ignored. Rebecca has a bit of a loner personality inside her just like her mother and father did. They often did things alone, but that was all before the X-Men noticed her and picked her up. Though this was against her father's wishes she eventually stayed with the X-Men noticing that the offspring of the main members were friendly and kind. Rebecca began to respect them and soon found her own spot on a team. Though she on many occasions visits her father who is still apart of the thieves guild. HISTORY Adopted Grand mother: Mystique Nightcrawler (Adopted brother) TJ, Nocturne, Cerise (Adopted nieces and nephews) Mother: Rogue/Anna Marie Father: Gambit/ Remey Lebeau Brother: Oliver Lebeau Sister: Anna Marie II (Adopted Sister) Rebecca Lebeau is born between Gambit and Rogue, two famous X-Men heroes who have gone through a lot of trouble in the past. Rogue at first didn't want to and was afraid of Gambit because she would possibly hurt or harm him with her powers. Over time, Gambit's charm won Rogue's heart as she let him take it and the two became married. They went through a lot as heroes, and at one point, Rogue told Gambit that she was pregnant. It wasn't long before Rebecca was born, and a few years later her brother Oliver was also born. However things weren't able to last so good as Rogue suddenly passed away. Gambit was depressed about this and guilty, as he quickly left the X-Men and took his children with him to New Orleans. They stayed in the theives guild and quickly became skilled thieves. While Rebecca was in New Orleans, she quickly gained her powers at the age of 13 when she was walking home from school with her brother. Suddenly three thugs surrounded them and under that stress, Rebecca quickly came to defend herself and her brother as her powers came in. She managed to fend them off, but it was hard doing it with three against one. It wouldn't belong before Gambit arrived as he chased them off, nearly scaring them to death. Word of the fight would get out to some other unlikely family members that a sighting of Gambit had been seen and as well as his family also. It appears that most of Rebecca's powers had been inherited through her mother. So the X-Men made their move and made their offer to her. It wasn't long before Rebecca had been picked up by some of the newer X-Men when they had a job in New Orleans. At first, Rebecca wasn't so sure about joining them, even with her father telling her not too. She went against his wishes, and managed to find a spot on her team. She figured that she could help with the others especially with these hard times that have come again that they would need it. Perhaps she'd be able to go down her own path but her mother's and her father's has heavily over shadowed her. Powers Power Absorption: Like her mother Rogue, Rebecca has the ability to absorb powers, memories, energies, knowledge, personality and physical abilities of a another living being. In order for this power to work her skin must come into contact with another person or living being in order for it to work. Rebecca has had some control over this power, but she often prefers to wear gloves in order to make sure that she can't absorb it or hurt the other person by accident. The ones that she has touched are often rendered unconscious. Self Propelled Flight: It appears that Rebecca has the ability to fly under her own strength. It is exactly unclear how she is able to do this but it is suspected that she inherited from her mother who was able to fly as well. Super human Strength: Rebecca has been able to demonstrate that she can lift an incredible amount of weight. She has been able to lift about 5 tons with ease. Super human Stamina: Rebecca has incredible stamina where she is able to handle longer fights and endure long and harder moments than most humans are able to survive. Password here: |
