PERSONALITY Grace is a shy person, but if you are her family or friends, she a bit outgoing around them. When she's not doing homework, she's writing poetry. It helps her calm down and even clear her mind to think better. She loves fresh flowers and walking barefoot and it's often said that she is a free spirit. Her opinion on life is everyone should be nice to all does her best to be just that. She is mainly a people person, and tries to get along with everyone. She usually makes good choices in life, and frowns on criminals, but believes that they only made a bad choice, and they can make it better. Grace's favorite subject in school is writing, especially creative writing where she can show off her poems. She's always felt alone, though, because of her inability to speak. The advent of her powers hasn't changed this feeling, in fact they scare her. POWERS Low-level Telepathy: Scream Girl is capable of projecting her thoughts to others through a form of low-level telepathy. This works best when she can see who she wishes to communicate, but so long as she is familiar with the target and can concentrate, she can focus her thoughts up to a mile. Sonic Scream: Scream Girl can cause her vocal cords to vibrate over a wide range of sonic frequencies and though she's limited in producing a volume of sound ranging from 100 decibels up to at least 140 decibels. Scream Girl thus has the ability to shatter solid objects with a sonic scream. Weaknesses: Single Minded Telepathy: Her low-level telepathy can only be used on one subject at a time. Unrestrained Acoustikinesis: Unlike other acoustikinesis, Scream Girl is unable to modulate her voice into normal decibels due to the change in her vocal chords when her mutation appeared. Because of this, she is unable to speak without releasing the power of her sonic voice. Vocal Strain: Her vocal cords are susceptible to injury from excessive strain in using sonic powers. Excessive vocal cord strain can also cause her to temporarily lose her powers. If her vocal chords are damaged by an outside source, like someone choking her, she can temporarily lose her powers. HISTORY Grace Stephanie Scott was born In New York to Jacob Micheal Scott and Sarah Hope Scott about sixteen years ago. She is their only child. It was the best thing to happen to the happy couple, but there is one thing that made Grace different than other children her age, she was born mute. So at a young age she started to learn sign language. Even her own parents had to learn sign language. She was sent to a special school for children that were mute or deaf. She made friends there just like any kid does at a school. Grace was heading home one day from school when she was about fifteen years old. There she found her parents dead in their home. Grace knelt down front of their bodies and opened her mouth, letting loose a loud scream that broke the glass around her. When cops arrived on the scene later, they took her in to custody. When it was ruled that her parents had died from fatal gunshot wounds and not a sonic attack, she was left in the hands of the state. The state, figuring out she was a mutant, remanded her into the custody of the state where she ran away from her foster home. Password here: |
