Hearing Sam's voice, Anya turned in the seat for a moment before spotting the familiar blue. Luckily the Nova Force wasn't something hard to miss when you spotted it, especially during the late night hours despite the bright lights given off by New York City below. "I see ya." Anya confirmed, turning the sky-cycle in his direction and flying after the blue streak he often left behind. At this rate, she wasn't bothering to try and race him since she knew she was beat from the start. But, a challenge sometimes was a good work out, something different than Anya's usual work outs for her gymnastics classes.
Smiling to herself, Anya only watched as Sam easily went right to the torch of Lady Liberty, following a bit slower since her sky-cycle only could go so fast compared to Sam's Nova Force abilities. But she arrived soon enough, putting the sky-cycle in idle mode so it could hover in place next to the torch, Anya turning to sit sideways in the sit and letting her feet hang freely. From here, the view was absolutely amazing, even better than the likes of the Helicarrier. The turbines weren't causing a ruckus or making it difficult to enjoy the sights. "This sure is quite the sight." Anya commented softly, almost to herself and seeming to for a moment forget she wasn't alone.
Realizing she was becoming distracted by distant thoughts, Anya quickly shook her head and tried to focus once more, glancing up towards Sam with a smile. "You know, if that had been a running race you would have had your butt kicked in no time." She teased.

“Ok you would’ve won that time. I’m not good at running races nor probably have the stamina to run long distances.” Sam admitted knowing that Anya was right. “But you know, learning about the Nova Force wasn’t easy for me. I had a hard time with landings; in fact there would be craters each time in the ground if I came in too fast on the ground which was bad for my house.” Sam admitted hoping it was at least something funny that Anya could giggle or laugh about his mishaps of learning how to be a Nova. They could learn all day on it and see his mistakes from the helmet as they projected most of his memories. Then one in particular came to him as he wondered how Anya thought of it?
“Hm let’s see who’s out in the stars shall we?” Sam asked as he thought back to their first day of meeting on SHIELD. Things sure had been different back then as they were learning how to use their powers at a teenaged level. It was him, Brandi, Miguel and Anya and they made an interesting team. Though they still stayed in touch Sam never forgot how they first met. As Sam touched the side of his helmet a large map appeared of earth right in the center of it, making it obvious to find and then the others came and followed.
“I actually figured out how to use the star map, Anya. I know when we first met, I hardly had a clue on how to use it…In fact, I think we have all come a long way since our first few days.” Sam said with a soft chuckle There were a lot of things Sam wanted to ask Anya but he didn’t have the heart to tell her. He knew the relationship was fragile; he didn’t want to ruin it for them. “Anya I know this is probably touching deep waters, but why did you leave the Web Warriors? I understand if you don’t want to talk about it, I don’t want to hurt you. But Miguel and Kaine seemed really confused on why you left.” Sam asked as he pretty much forced a face palm realizing he blurted it out. “Me and my big mouth.”

Anya couldn't help chuckling softly, "Right, I forget without that helmet of yours all that strength, stamina, and durability just goes away doesn't it." She teased, "So much for the Great Buckethead." She mused. She knew Sam had been a pretty big show off back when they were teenagers, talking big and acting like he owned the Helicarrier, despite how annoying it got for others. Of course, he still had something of an ego but he had certainly mellowed out since those days that was for sure. "Least you didn't get thrown into the desert and almost devoured by wolves to trigger your powers and potential." She pointed out.
Though, as Sam brought up the star map she couldn't help the faint smile that spread across her face when it was projected, "And whose the one that helped you to even know it existed?" She laughed softly, recalling the day she had accidentally scared Sam enough it caused his helmet to fall and project the map by mistake. Still, she nevertheless gave the projection a once over, seeing some of her former teammates lurking about the city or the helicarrier mostly, raising an eye brow when she recognized one, "Hybrid is back huh? Go figure. He's the last person I would have expected to return to SHIELD." she commented, only wondering what was promised to him for the symbiote to return at all.
The inquiry that followed though made Anya peer past the projection out towards the ocean. She had already confessed to Sam why she had been in a darker state than she once was, but she didn't want to fully admit the same loss was the reason she had felt compelled to no longer call herself a hero. "Because I no longer felt I could call myself a hero after getting my father, my friends, and a long time partner of mine killed all in a single night Sam. The Sisterhood of the Wasp caught me in a corner." She clenched her fists then, scowling to herself, "I was able to defeat the original All-Mother but I wasn't strong enough or fast enough to save my loved ones."
It took everything Anya had not to just want to break down, because that was the last thing she wanted to do. Especially in front of Sam. Shaking her head she spoke in an angered yet determined tone, "That is why I have to track down this new All-Mother. You saw what happened that night you and Kaine came to my aid, and I won't allow them to hurt others again Sam. So no matter what it takes, I will atone for what I've done even if it means dying in the process myself." Her tone and attitude had become darker as she spoke, Anya full of nothing but a need for revenge, sorrow, and rage from her failure.

"Uh no thanks to that one." Sam said shaking his head not liking the idea of being thrown in the desert. Still he didn't know everything about being a Nova. Rider probably knew the most and he was certain that their leader was missing or no longer around. Regardless of where he was, if he had a call he had to come answer it since he was also loyal as a Nova. He knew any sign abandonment or betrayal, meant bad news for him too.
"Yeah you and Miguel helped me too. I remember that Miguel actually got blinded by the bright light, he still has that problem so he wears sunglasses all the time." Sam admitted knowing that being a super hero did have their bad sides and side effects from time to time. "Yes Hybrid hasn't exactly been given that warm fuzzy feeling from the others from what I've heard." He pointed out not looking at all surprised by that fact since the web warriors had thought he was gone for good. But apparently not.
"Anya-" Sam fell silent as he heard what Anya had to say. She'd rather be killed? That made his heart sank as he heard the story and not to mention he thought they were doing well with the whole friendship thing as he closed his eyes wanting his hardest to tell her no. But he knew she wouldn't listen to him one bit. "Anya are you sure that's the right idea? I know you're not thrilled with the team work thing but at least work with me or Scarlet Spider. I won't Tell SHIELD honest." Sam pointed out almost as if he felt like he was begging.
But he knew Kaine was far better at fighting than he was. Anya might've been better off with Kaine. The guy worked alone although for the last few years he pulled a few strings to work with the Web Warriors. Sam knew whatever path Anya was going to take was going to be a dangerous one, he just had that feeling. "I'm not going to hound you like a mom or a dad that just seems wrong. You're old enough to make your own decisions." Sam said as he crossed his arms looking rather stubborn.
