A Lesson Learned the Hard Way (Cameron)

The first day on the job hadn't exactly been easy, Richard was back once again in the middle of training trying to do an obstacle course. He was wearing a costume similar to Spider-Man and one would certainly agree that he would be just like his father...Except he wanted his own path he didn't want to be like a clone or an exact copy (No offense to Ben and Kaine on that matter). But he wanted to be his own hero. He was rounding the last obstacles which occurred to him where several hoops. That didn't seem so bad. He jumped through the other one with ease but felt something hot burn near him as his spidey sense went off wait a minute, were they flaming hoops? That made things a bit more interesting. As the tingle subsided he hung from a platform for him as he observed the fire, and after a split second he jumped through the second one and grabbed onto some bars like he was in some gymnastics and pulled himself up before reaching the finish line on the other side.

"Uh ta-dah?" Richard asked as he realized his costume had been scorched slightly from it but that could easily be repaired by SHIELD at least.

"Richard, I can't believe you forgot about the rule that means you are supposed to come out unharmed. Captain America would've done that half the time you put up." The SHIELD agent said not sounding at all impressed that Richard had managed to nearly burn himself even if he did have a healing factor for that. "I know you have a healing factor and all but you're supposed to be uninjured and avoid being hurt by the enemy." He said. "For that your grade will be lower than it probably is for the injuries even if they were minor." He said walking off as Richard crossed his arms not at all happy with that recent comment.

"Geez just one tiny little burn costed me that much?" He asked not at all happy as he began to head out side. He needed to find a distraction that would keep his mind off things. That bad spot put him on ice and he wondered just what else he could mess up here? He began to leave the training room rather upset. He had to find some way to get his mind off of things. Anything would do as he rounded the corner he thought he heard someone on the other side.

Cameron was watchig one of the Web Warriors train in a fairly hard obsticle course. After finishing, the spider agent, was evaluated by another, normal human agent. She has been out on a 'suicide mission' just hours ago, returning from Columbia. After having been turned into Swiss chees, taking over 2 dozen bullets to her body and face, as well as minor damage to her right arm, she was still wearing the classic shield uniform, with was ton ,full or holes and the entire right arm of the unifor was torn off. She was no too happy, but got all the information that she needed during the mission.

Cameron was watching the Web warrior finish and as the other human agent lowered the personal grade, Cameron did not like that, as she found it unfair. The person was not Steve Rogers... hell, not even she herself could have done it faster then Steve Rogers, even if she was not a human anymore. She would tell the agent and the Spider Agent that she gives him a fair, and higher score. She made her was towards the entrance of the massive metallic training area. 

On reaching the last hallway, she accidently bunped into the spider agent. She actually did not really hear so well right now as her audio receptor channels where damaged during the mission. As she bumped into the spider agent, she tilted her head, and looked at the person. "Agent Richard Parker? I came to tell you that your final score has been reavaluated. " She spoke with a serious face, but still in a fairly friendly manner, with a shadow of a smile on her face. She actually did not really realize that part of her left side of her face was missing, revealing her metal endoskeleton.

His spidey sense didn't go off being that he didn't consider Cameron to be dangerous after all they were on the hellicarrier surrounded by other shield agents who were mostly on good terms at this point in time. It made him really wonder on occasions as he was really meant to be here, and it hurt deep in side that he couldn't go home to his own time like he was supposed to be in. He felt out of place-Before he could finish his thought process he felt someone bump into him as he stumbled a bit but using his balance he found it, "I'm sorry I should've been watching where I was going. I was just deep in thought." He said as he looked up through his mask.

When Cameron addressed his name he wasn't as surprised anymore since most agents knew their names, "Yes that is me." He said as he raised an eye behind his mask wondering what Cameron wanted. "You're raising my score? I thought I didn't even manage to impress most of the agents here." Richard admitted. "If you are going to do that I really do appreciate it." He said as he looked over noticing that her body was pretty much beaten up really badly. He couldn't help but be curious and ask what happened.

"What happened to you ma'am it looks like you were in a pretty rough mission." Richard said. "And you can call me The Spider that's what everyone else does around here." He said with a soft shrug knowing it wasn't that big of an impressive name. Even the other more experienced web warriors had better names than that.

Cameron tilted her head gently. While she had a serious face, her smile grew a little, forming a weak smile. "I never said 'raised'... i said 'reevaliated'. " She said. She knew that it was the very same thing, but did not want to make the agent think that she was just an emotionless robot, she has feelings too, and not just programmed feelings.
She glanced over her own body, pretty much forgetting and not realizing that she was so 'injured' in human terms. Cameron looked up at Richard and for a second had a cool glare on her face. "Well, i have need threght worse" She said, for a seond remembering the terrible accident that actually caused her to be rebuilt into a cyborg. She however, eased up some what, returning to her normal 'mode'. 
"Columbian druglors can be very uptight about SHIELD agent intruding there property... i have need tracking him for months now, so i was not going to let that little thing spot me." Cameron said. "At least i found out how big his private army is, and what weapons they use. " Cameron let out a half smile. "The name is Cameron Plilips-Connor... Special Agent Philips-Connor, if others ask. " She said nodding gently.

"I understand." Richard said noticing the smile but he did know he had his place in being an agent of SHIELD. compared to some of the web warriors here he probably was on the lowest part of it here. He listened to Cameron as she spoke up about being an agent and dealing with some sticky business in the drug lords. It sounded like something that he'd never be able to do at least not now. Ever since Richard came here he felt like his confidence was an all time low especially the way that Hybrid and other people treated them. Why can't they just give him a chance?

"It's nice to meet you Agent Phillips-Connor. I arrived a couple of months ago upon accident. I'm from a different dimension like some of the agents are like here." He pointed out. "If you can imagine my father is Spider-Man but I've always felt the weight of his superiority over me dangling where ever I go. I think sometimes I just want to be my own person." He said with a sigh wondering if he really was meant to be a SHIELD agent. His father in his time made off well being Spider-Man but why was he forced into this?

"I'm sorry if I'm sounding like I'm rambling I've never really had anyone to talk to about it. Half the web warriors are just more concerned about talking and training." He pointed out seeing that all of them were busy as he stood there finding himself looking down at his feet. But he did notice that she smiled if it was a crack of a smile on her lips. Under his mask he wasn't smiling all that much.

" I was once a normal person, and took me years to make a name for myself... as a human tha was harder then being a super. Years ago i... had an accident, and was made into a machine. " Camerosn said with a slightly annoyed face. "I was able to handle many things that others could not, and still got treated like a walking computer by a fair dead of agents, rather then a high ranking agent. " Cam said with a slight nod. "I ralized that i had to be strict with a few of them as they where jelous of me... just like they are jelous of you. " Cam pointed out,, and then looked at him with her head gently tilting " I am unfamiliar with the other Web Warriors, you are the first who i meet in person... i am usually around the Bridge, or on the field. " She said with a slight shrug. 
" Letting it out is good... keep talking. " She nodded with a straight face, but with a friendly manner.

"Jealous of me?" Richard seemed almost stunned by that fact that anyone would be jealous of him. He had inherited his father's powers of being a spider and most people these days were familiar with Spider-Man. "I find that rather hard to believe." He admitted knowing that most people would be interested in the Avengers or other heroes that had worked up the later from a long time ago. Suppose this was just the beginning for him, he had a long way to go, but he didn't like being treated with dirt. He listened to Cameron being that she got to hear his part of the story, they were different but Richard was surprised to see that she was a cyborg, but he didn't let it bother him for too long.

"Well the web warriors are a group of SHIELD agents, most of them have spider powers just like me or are slightly different. Spider-Man from this time currently leads them and if you ask me I'm the youngest in the group so far." He admitted knowing May Parker was there and his older half sister, it was odd calling her his half sister, but she was Peter's daughter in this time. "In my time my father was one of the best heroes, everything went right for him, he even revealed his identity to the world without much of a worry. Then that day came when someone who was dimensional hoping came and tried to kill my father." Richard explained as he knew he regretted not saying good bye to him.

"I felt defenseless in the fight, so when he came to me, my father sent me through one of the portals he opened up to get me out of the way. To this day I don't know what happened to him. I hope my father is still alive, it would be horrible news to find out that a hero died suddenly." Richard said with a frown as he realized he was rambling on once again but he pretty much gave his story on how he got here. No one bothered to ask him, nor did they really care. Though they did catch him that one night while he was trying to stop a bank robber, things changed for him once again.
