"I think we have enough Spider men out there don't you think so, Miguel?" Kaine asked with a sigh as he wore his scarlet spider suit and Miguel who had his blue and red one was standing right next to him had his day of the dead costume. "come on Kaine just give this new guy a chance I'm sure he'll be just fine. Apparently he's a son of Peter Parker in his time." Miguel said as the two spiders talked as they sat on the roof waiting for the newest spider to arrive and Kaine wasn't at all happy about this new arrival but he had no choice on who SHIELD picked up these days.
"And if you had been reading his profile the kid tried stopping a burgler before saving some humans on the street. If you ask me the kid's got potential." Miguel observed as Kaine sighed.
"If you ask me we are wasting time I have papers to fill out from the last test and I can be spending it somewhere else." Kaine said crossing his arms.
That was when the doors opened as a SHIELD agent came out with someone right behind him as Miguel and Kaine looked down noticing the new recruit. His suit did look a lot like Spider-man but it was only his son underneath it from a different dimension. "Everyone this one calls himself The Spider, he's called Richard Parker in our time." He said before introducing the new training rookie member before leaving. "Uh...hi." Richard said rather awkwardly towards the others.
"So what are your names?" He asked looking up at Miguel and Scarlet Spider.
"This one is Scarlet Spider, he's the grumpy one. My name is Spider-Man 2099 of the future. It's nice to meet you Richard. so what can you do?" MIguel asked as Richard seemed a bit uncertain of showing off his powers. He probably only knew how to use half of them at this point as he stood there having a bit of stage fright between the two older spider heroes. Who were probably way more experienced than he was. For the most part, Peter had sheltered Richard from the super hero world so this was only his first few steps towards it. And he was already nervous. "I uh...have a spidey sense, wall crawling and organic webbing...pretty basic?" He asked sounding very nervous for sure.
Near the two spiders, Hybrid quietly lurked, presently making use of the shadows to stay hidden. Right now, it was still only Miguel who was aware he had returned and he had yet to tell the other spiders. Though, that was mostly because Hybrid was still getting a feel for being back with SHIELD, much less working with old faces and some new. But that didn’t mean Hybrid wasn’t still performing his duties as team leader once more, having read the files of the new recruits.
Thus, he was here to see Richard for himself despite the others probably not expecting him to be there. But for now, he presently was pressed against a corner, shadow completely hiding his dark colored form easily enough. He watched as Richard came in with an agent, seeing that Kaine hadn’t changed much and Miguel was at least trying. So much for that teacher type of personality. It still amazed Hybrid that of anyone Kaine was a teacher, he had honestly expected that from Peter more than Kaine. Suppose sometimes that unexpected happened.
Seeing Richard struggling though, Kaine could see it was likely he’d have to do a hands on demonstration. In other words: he was going to see what the kid could do in a quick case scenario. Fact of the matter was he would face such things in training and in the real world as a hero. So, if he expected to get anywhere, it appeared Hybrid would have to take initiative to make sure this kid understood just how unpredictable this job could be. ‘Alright Phage, let’s show this newbie how prepared he’s going to have to be.’ Hybrid said inwardly before his red coloration turned to a dark yellow and his claws became more blade-like along with other blade like tendrils forming on his form.
With a low audible growl, Phage crawled forward, revealing himself to the four present in the room. His form had altered slightly due to Phage taking over, now having the fanged mouth some Symbiotes displayed and a slightly larger frame than his normal Hybrid state. “Heads up little spider!” He hissed before leaping at Richard without much of a warning.

Miguel and Kaine could only watch as the next part came unexpectedly towards Richard. He has seconds to teact as his eyes widened behind his mask as his spidey sense wasn't triggerd by the on coming danger. His instincts told him to jump out of the way and he did exactly that in order to prevent breaking his hands he went into a tumble like roll to get out of the way as he stood up. "Heay the Shield agent said there would only be two of you!" Richard said as he looked back at Hybrid with surprise.
The older two Web Warriors were not as surprise as Miguel knew of Hybrid's return and Kaine only knew it was a matter of time before Hybrid came back. "Well look what the spider dragged in, it is Hybrid. I thought you quit to follow your own path?" Kaine asked as Miguel shrugged. "I met him a little while back Kaine it looks like Hybrid is staying with us for good. As for Richard those are some good reflexes there but reflexes alone aren't going to save you." Miguel pointed out trying to at least help Richard on a few pointers.
"So he is a former member? I don't think I want to meet him down a dark alley." Richard pointed out. "And why didn't my spidey sense go off warning me of the danger?" He asked.
"Because punk he is a symbiote most of them are immune to spidey senses you have to rely on other things to fight them." Kaine pointed out but he wanted to see if Richard knew any of a symbiotes weaknesses like sounds. "Now are you just going to stand around or show us what you can do?" Kaine asked. Richard nodded as he quickly pointed his hand towards hybrid sending sone webbing towards his face as a distraction and cane down with a kick but Hybrid was the more experience d hero here which is what Richard lacked a great amount of experience.
Indeed, his reflexes had been good. That was one plus, but that was only a piece of the puzzle, a piece that would not always aid him, nor would his spider sense be able to do all the work. "Yes, I have to agree your reflexes are impressive, for someone who hasn't really used them." Phage hissed flexing his blade-like claws as he eyed Richard closely. He could see the suit he wore resembled Peter's, but if anyone knew the classic suit well enough they could see there were some subtle differences in the suit's design. But, it was time this kid had a crash course of reality.
Phage ducked from the webbing, crouching now and keeping his eyes on Richard, but taking the kick right to the face. He felt the force, the slight pain, but it did little to stop him. One of the tendrils lashed out and wrapped around Richard's foot before he could escape, leaving him dangling for a short time, "Distractions, good. But, you have to be more creative, clever, make it unpredictable." Phage growled before throwing the younger spider away from himself, seeing a lot had to be done to train this new hero. "I left due to disagreements between myself and SHIELD Kaine, but they sought me out again because apparently I was right. This peace isn't going to last forever, so we came to a new agreement." Phage spoke, not taking his eyes off Richard.
But, he merely shook his head, "I do not let off your spider sense because I do not mean you real harm, for the time being. But any other time I am not immune to your spider senses, otherwise you would have sensed me coming already." Phage explained. Though he was a symbiote, Hybrid had never bonded with one of the spider heroes, therefore never inheriting their powers or spider sense. Unlike the likes of Venom or Carnage, he was still very much a threat to others.

Richard should've seen that coming he felt helpless as he was dangling like a mouse who was caught in the jaws of some prey like animal maybe a hawk or a falcon. Hybrid had beaten him before he could even really try for that matter as he felt his tentacles getting ready to fling him there was little to no chance to react to him in time. As he felt his body fly across the training room the next part surprised him as a blast of webbing came forward and grabbed a hold onto one of his arms. He half expected it to be Miguel on that hand but instead it was Kaine who owas pulling him up to the roof top where Miguel and he were sitting earlier. "Well that would explain it about the spidey sense any ways." Richard pointed out before he got flung.
"Aw look he does care." Richard said as Kaine gave him a glare in that response. "Just because I saved you once doesn't mean I won't do it a second time." Kaine said and paused. "I'd say Richard has a lot to go with on this one he has potential but I think he needs to work on those reflexes and think of better combination moves with his abilities." Kaine observed as he was listening to Hybrid as much as Miguel was.
"I guess a welcome back is in order, but I do agree this world has gotten a lot more messed up and peace doesn't always stay. There is always someone who will disagree with us." Kaine said as Richard was safely secure on the ceiling beam Kaine did something that the two didn't expect. He jumped down to cling to a wall and then onto the floor to where he was a few feet away from where Hybrid was. "Come on Hybrid why don't we show Richard how web warriors really do things. That is if you're afraid." Kaine said as he put his wrists out in front of him and soon his stingers came out which were his usual main weapons, but he was certain Hybrid didn't know them all. Not to mention he doubted Hybrid knew of his Mark of Kaine unless he used it in a dire situation in front of him but the young Scarlet Spider that Hybrid knew was gone. Kaine had gotten better and was a lot wiser as well.
"I suggest we sit back and watch this one Richard interfering with these guys would be a big no." Miguel said as he crossed his arms as he rested on the beam. And Richard joined him curious to see how things would end here. As much to wondering it himself as much as Miguel was as to who might be the victor here. Though one interesting thing with Kaine was he had gotten into a fight with Venom and there he got branded almost with a scar on his right eye. Though they couldn't see it under his mask, he usually tried to protect his right side the most during these fights out of fear of what may happen next.
"Many people have come through here with potential, and yet they've flunked out before long." Phage hissed, narrowing his eyes towards Richard for a moment, "Kid of a Parker or not, don't be expecting any special treatment or someone being lenient with you kid. You wanna make it on this team you got to prove yourself, just as everyone whose made the team has." The symbiote growled, his tone almost more demonic than normal Hybrid's. Then again, aside from Riot, Phage was one of his more violent personalities, so the tone of voice was to be expected.
But when Kaine stepped up to challenge him, Phage merely grinned ready for a real fight. Though, he winced visibly, Lasher and the other two symbiotes inside his mind knowing full well if Phage went into full battle mode he'd lose control entirely, something they all wanted to avoid right now. Even Riot. It took a moment before Phage finally submitted to the mental pressure for their "brother" to back down for a moment, allowing Hybrid to return to his red and black state, shifting his form slightly to once more take on the appearance of a man seemingly wearing a skin tight suit, "Sorry about that, can't really go tearing up the Helicarrier unexpectedly. Phage and Riot get rather carried away." Hybrid spoke, his tone once more normal but being unable to help the challenging look coming to his eyes.
"Kaine, you know me well enough I do not scare easily. In fact..." Hybrid's form once more began to move and shift, his colors seemed to do the same as he took on a rather familiar look, becoming a mirror image of Kaine himself, extending solid black stingers of his own. "I don't use this ability very often, but, why not try looking in a mirror and see what it feels like to face yourself Kaine." With that, Hybrid lunged forward a Kaine with a low growl, aiming a punch towards his teammate's head.

"Heay that's not fair!" Richard blurted out seeing that there were two Scarlet Spiders. At least one was like a mirror image to the real one. "There's a way to see the difference between the two, Kaine has white stingers while Hybrid has black ones." Miguel pointed out as he had a clawed finger in the direction of where the two Scarlet Spiders were. They knew one was Hybrid and the other one was Kaine. but this didn't seem fair, like Richard said. There was some irony to this being that some of Kaine's nightmares had been the spitting image of himself. Let's say that the worst fear he has was facing a much more eviler side of him, which almost did happen if he hadn't reformed his ways with the Web Warriors.
"Kaine has gone through much worse, Richard don't object to it just yet. I want to see how this will end up." Miguel said as he sat down in a squatting position seeing that they might as well get comfortable since there was no way they could interfere unless things got out of hand and one of them ended up near death. Kaine was a warrior and Miguel at least had some faith in him. Kaine also saw this as some how of a test from Hybrid. Would he really be able to handle everything? A part of him said yes, and the other side said no to this one.
As the fight started Hybrid, as the second Scarlet Spider through a powerful punch as Kiane put his hands up in a defensive block with his stingers as added protection. The block would've probably bruised his hands just a bit, but he had suffered worse. "I have a feeling that you're testing me in some how. Then again I have had nightmares where I see myself mirroring everything I do in exact opposite style." Kaine said once the coast was clear. Kaine came down with a martial arts style like kick towards Hybrid's shoulder. However, he wasn't done yet, as he also threw an attempted strike of one of his stingers towards his other shoulder. Suppose the first one might've been a distraction, as he knew Hybrid might know a lot about what kind of style fighting he used. He might be in trouble.
"I suppose you could say its a kind of test." Hybrid commented, holding up an arm to block the kick that Kaine sent his way. Truth be told, Hybrid had never really thought of this being a test, nor had it intended it to be. But he knew very well that Kaine fought his demons many a time, and he still did today despite all his attempts to forget the past or embrace it. Hybrid himself still had some demons he was fighting, but at the same time accepted as a fact of life. No matter what he still had tendencies and desires he wanted to fulfill, ones he knew were not for the faint of heart.
But a hiss left him as the stinger tore through his shoulder, yet there was no signs of blood or the like that would have been visible from a normal human. "Argh! That really does smart you know." Hybrid said with annoyance, extending some tendrils from his sides, "But by all means, lets have it your way Kaine." With a low growl, the tendrils launched forward with enough force to throw Kaine away from him and send him flying a few feet, the stinger being torn from his shoulder which closed up moments later. There was a benefit of being a symbiote and an amorphous being; he could easily reform a destroyed area granted that it wasn't anything too damaging.
Though Hybrid didn't stop there as he charged forward, throwing himself towards Kaine, his own stingers out and intending to give the spider hero a taste of his own stingers. All the while, Hybrid seemed to be ignoring Richard's outburst as well. He would handle that comment later.

Kaine felt his body get lifted and then launched into the air as he felt himself fall against the wall with a loud clang. His body froze for a bit as his head spun but he felt it starting to fade a bit. As he looked up he could've sworn he saw about four hybrids at once. But that quickly changed as he saw that he was running towards him, as him of course. That was the thing that really annoyed Kaine. It was clear that Hybrid was pushing buttons. Kaine quickly got up as he put some weight above his elbow before getting up from the ground but it was just in time. He managed to avoid becoming Hybrid's next meal as he clung to the nearby wall hoping that it'd be enough to avoid him.
"You really want to see me fight Hybrid? For 10 long years that was all I knew." Kaine said as he saw his next target he sent some webbing towards a piece of defunct machinery on the ground, it looked like a couple of smashed up robots as he took the first one with his webbing. he used what strength he could force out as he hurled the object towards Hybrid's direction wondering if this would be something that Hybrid could get out of. He wouldn't be one bit surprised if Hybrid got out of it alive.
But to add to it Kaine's back ached a bit from where he slammed against the wall he knew it was only a matter of time before his healing factor kicked into that. Not many knew of it but his right eye had been a bit of a problem lately since his vision had been so bad. Some had mentioned trying to fix it with surgery but he had declined it. Kaine was not a fan of hospitals even if it was on the SHIELD Helicarrier. For the most part now, Miguel and Richard were watching from above as they saw Kaine and Hybrid's performance and had fallen silent.
"So how did Kaine get his powers anyways?" Richard asked. "I believe he had them almost from the beginning. Kaine is a copy of Peter Parker, a clone so to speak. But he isn't the first one." Miguel said knowing that Ben Riley had been the first. Kaine had a darker side towards Peter, suppose what would happen to Peter if he had gone to the dark side of super heroics. "I'm not out yet, Hybrid this fight only started." Kaine remarked towards Hybrid.
Hybrid's black colored stingers stabbed into the metal wall of the room, not at all shocked by Kaine's dodge. His reflexes were still good, with or without a working spider sense. Being a teacher here at SHIELD at least hadn't made the younger spider hero lose his edge or his moody personality, which was what Hybrid was glad to see. But he yanked the makeshift stingers free, stepping back as his gaze focused on Kaine once more.
Before the combined symbiote could say anything he let out a pained noise as several robotic parts and machinery came slamming into him, knocking the symbiote off his feet and becoming partially buried beneath the parts. Albeit, not for long as the pile of parts began to move and a sort of squelching sound could be heard as Hybrid's form seemed to flatten, causing everything to collapse further on top but not slowing him down. The shapeless black and red blob seemed to slither from under the pile in three separate places before reforming into a slid shape yet again, resembling Scarlet Spider but one was purple and black, another yellow and black, and the last one green and black. Before Kaine, Miguel, and Richard stood three of the four symbiotes that made up Hybrid: Riot, Phage, and Lasher.
"Cry us a river Riley." Lasher snarled softly, stepping forward as the stingers extended into whips, his specialty. "You mope around like you're the only one with a horror story of being a little science experiment. Well, news flash..." Lasher made a motion with his hand towards Riot, the purple and black Scarlet Spider whose singers became spiked batons, to move. "You're far from it pretty boy!!" Riot snarled as he charged forward, his form actually bulkier and more muscular than Hybrid's or Kaine who lunged at the spider hero, intending to make Scarlet Spider work in this training.
But while Kaine was busy with Riot and Lasher, Phage turned towards the two watching heroes, eyes narrowed to a glare. "As for your comment boy, you'll learn real quick that life is never fair." He growled, firing his own type of webbing to the roof and pulling himself up to their level, pointing towards the fight going down. "You wanna be a hero? Get this first lesson through your head now: the world is a cruel, unfair place. If you're not prepared to the dangers that come with this job, willing to take on the big bads, you won't get far on this team, specially not a SHIELD sanctioned team."

Kaine didn't have hopes that his Spidey sense would go off. He had considered Hybrid to be a decent guy yes, but not enough to consider him to be a danger for his spidey sense to go off. He knew he was on his own and had to rely without it. "I'm not afraid of your batons or anything you throw at me." Kaine said through gritted teeth. Before the batons could land down, Kaine's stingers came out again as he felt the batons strike the stingers. His body slid back a bit against the concrete he was resting on but he pretty much stayed put. While riot was close enough he knew he had to draw the line some where. He put out his hand towards the Symbiote as he prepared to use the Mark of Kaine but Miguel's voice stopped him before he could get close enough.
"That's enough!" Miguel said but he had a feeling they hadn't heard it in his voice. There was too much noise as things got crazy. In fact it was worse than crazy it was dangerous. He had to draw the line somewhere before some one got hurt. "Miguel what do you want! Spill it out now before I rip this guy into pieces." Kaine said. It was clear he was frustrated and needed to find a way to calm down later on.
"That's ENOUGH!" Miguel's voice rang through the area as he put a hand out to block Richard from getting close to Phage. Each one of them knew how bad symbiotes could be the worst ones being Venom himself. Suppose he fathered some of the symbiotes today like Carnage, but of course even the family ties are meaningless in the symbiote world. "So what if we were all brought up differently. Kaine has had a lot of pain, I'm from the future...Richard is from a different universe all together, and Hybrid has had a sorry past too. But we're all here fighting for the same reason because we want things to be better for ourselves and for future heroes too." Miguel said remembering that freedom and peace they had not to long ago.
Kaine dropped his stingers down to a non lethal position, at his side and so with his hands, "Future boy is right. When you all put it right down to it, we're all spiders whether or not we like it. I'm done with this training...You call it." Kaine said as he caught a few breaths, of air seeing that he had been working too hard here.
Riot almost ignored Miguel entirely, beginning to press forward at first as if daring Kaine to do something. His eyes narrowed in fact as the smaller spider brought his hand forward, ever so close to using his most lethal attack than his stingers. Even Lasher had begun to move closer, his whips extending small spikes to do greater damage than the whips alone. Moment Miguel yelled out though, the green and black symbiote stopped in his tracks, realizing what they were doing and sent a mental note to Agony who quickly got the message.
Snarling as Agony suddenly gave him a mental jolt, Riot finally backed off, growling lowly at being stopped from doing what he did best these days but did not say anything further. Reluctantly, the largest of the symbiotes merged back with Lasher whose whips had likewise returned to his form. "My apologies Kaine, we got a little carried away. Those tendencies of our own are still there." Lasher apologized as he returned to his normal state of looking like Hybrid once more, but still only green and black and glancing up to his final symbiote counterpart, waiting for Phage to make a decision of what he was doing.
The yellow and black symbiote snorted softly, "I am no hero Miguel, and I don't believe in sitting by and doing "good" all the time. The kid needs to learn sooner rather than later that sometimes you gotta make a hard call, one that goes against being a hero." Phage growled before retracting the web and allowing himself to drop down to merge back with Lasher at last allowing Hybrid become whole and return to his normal red and black. He shifted his form as if popping some joints but it was more so to get adjusted once more after being merged into a whole being again.
"The lesson is over, its clear we got carried away. More so that this will take adjustment once more." Hybrid spoke dismissively, shooting a look towards Miguel and Richard. "Time will tell to see if the squirt can handle things. If not, that'll be for Fury to decide." Hybrid spoke in a firm and final tone before he turned on his heel, making no further effort on the situation and simply leaving the room.
