A New York Stroll (David)

[Sam Alexander]

It wasn't every day Sam was able to break free from SHIELD but today had been one of them. Back when he was still young he had played hookie a few times and that had its good and bad moments. Sam had gotten in trouble but on one of them he ran into Rider the leader of the Nova corps and he hadn't forgotten what that man taught him. Now that he was much older he was able to do a whole lot more than that. He flew through the sky with a bright blue streak behind him as he enjoyed the flight. Not every human got to experience it so it certainly was something that he enjoyed.

Once he touched down in one of the alley ways he took off his helmet as his costume disappeared as well and he put his helmet in a backpack that he had been carrying around. He didn't really have a task or anything in mind today. Maybe just wander around New York to find something interesting? He took out his phone as he began to look up songs to play as he put his head phones in listening to music as he walked down busy down town.

As he did he didn't seem to pay attention all that much as he felt his body hit hard with someone else's and he looked up seeing it was an older man he didn't recognize. "Sorry sir that was an accident." He said but the guy was obviously not taking it. "You kids should watch where you're going! I can't stand this. It's common sense. I better not see you around my store again!" he said.

"Geez I said I was sorry and for the record I'm not a kid." Sam said showing his own stubbornness. And he knew instead of prolonging the fight he might as well get out of there while he still could. "Look I'm gone if you don't follow me. Apparently New Yorker's can be big jerks." he said to himself. Sam was wishing so hard he could be a Nova right now, but as always there was a place and time for everything, and it probably went against everything he was taught during SHIELD. So he just walked off, just a bit annoyed now.

Deep breaths, just deep breaths.

David didn't exactly know what he was doing - but like it or not, he was getting ready to test out his armor. Of course, it hadn't had a proper test run yet, he'd hardly even finished the damn thing about a week ago. But he was just now getting the nerves worked up to try it out.

That was what made him in a hurry that day as he stalked towards downtown. Ready to look for trouble - more than anything. Ready to find the first person he could deliver some justice to as an eager young fledgling hero.

He'd been so busy going over it all in his head when he walked right into the young man known as Sam Alexander. Not even realizing he was literally the second person to do that to him that day. "Woah! Sorry dude," he barely lifted his head, shifting the heavy backpack where his pieces of armor were weighing him down a bit. "Wasn't paying attention." he half mumbled.

Sam stumbled a bit as he realized that he had just collided with someone else for a second time. At least it wasn't that jerk like last time who didn't seem to care, all he was worried about was his business and money. "It's alright I guess I should've been watching where I was going." He said as he looked up noticing David. The guy seemed like he was in a panic about something nervous too, and the running into people probably didn't help much.

"Are you alright, you seem like you're in a panic about something? And don't worry about the running into, the last guy I did it by accident too gave me a yelling pretty much." Sam asked as he pointed a hand back towards the street that he had just walked from down the road.

"If you're lost or something I can probably show you around. I've lived in New York on and off but enough to know how to get around." Sam offered. "And my name is Sam Alexander by the way." He said offering a hand shake if he wanted too towards David. he seemed a bit off but Sam didn't know why that was. However he wasn't going to pry if the young man didn't want to worry about something like that. He may even have other things on his mind. The same could be said for Sam, half the time he was spent day dreaming or wondering about things during his events towards SHIELD.

A panic? Aw man, he looked like he was in a panic? That wouldn't do.

David straightened himself a bit, and tried a bit harder to look tough. There was no way he was going to look like a freaked out kid - even if that was pretty much what he was. "Ha! Me, freaked out? Nah, my backpack's just wicked heavy," he explained. "Nah, nah I'm good."

When the guy introduced himself, he gave a small smirk. Well at least the guy seemed friendly. Though he was probably just as native to New York as David was at this point - given he'd lived there for years. "David, uh... Just David," he didn't throw the Palmer around much given he was probably still a missing person. "Ah, live here then, what part?"

"Uh uh sure." Sam said as he looked towards David wondering what was really going on. Even if he had his own fare amount of secrets he wasn't about to let them out just yet that he had a secret identity. If David maybe needed some saving then things might've been different. He nodded when he heard David give his name...just David? Didn't most people have last names? That was a bit weird unless he didn't want to give his away.

"Well I've lived on and off in different apartments." Sam said saying that was semi true to the fact that he was a SHIELD agent and lived in the hellicarrier. "I'm originally from Arizona I came out here to have a better life and do schooling out here while my mom stayed behind with my sister." Sam pointed out. "It's obvious there are big differences here than in Arizona and here." Sam pointed out. "Like the snow." He added knowing there was almost no snow where he lived since it got so hot in the winter time. But even now it seemed that winter was officially here once again.

Ah Arizona. David had never been but compared to New York it was probably a bit nicer - or at least warmer in his mind. He himself had never actually been outside of New York, though a part of him ached to go and see the world someday, if he ever got the chance. “Should’ve figured you were from somewhere else. Haven’t got an accent,” David jested lightly.

He then added with a friendly thumb of his own chest. “Me I was born and raised in Brooklyn, so mines pretty thick,” he admitted, even though he now mostly hung around Manhattan, where the action was. “Got tired of it there though, moved more this way, cooler with all the “actuon” if you know what I mean.”

"Nope no New York accent on my part at least not one from Brooklyn." Sam said knowing he had been probably back and forth to Brooklyn if some sort of problem had arisen while he was being a super hero. But it was a shame since he couldn't exactly enjoy it like a tourist or actually stay there for a longer period of it. That was when he felt his phone ring in his pocket as he realized that something was going on, he shifted a bit, "Sorry It's from my boss, er bosses that is. There's always someone higher up in the ranks of buisness and work." Sam pointed out.

"Uh uh I got it...something going on down town?" He asked as he picked up the phone finally in his gloved hands, it sure was cold out like the both of them had agree on. "I'll be there as quick as I can, even if it means taking the sub way." He pointed out realizing he would have to leave David for awhile but he was certain he'd see the kid again. That was when he put his phone back after getting the call from SHIELD about some sort of danger going on. "Look i have to go there's some kind of trouble down town apparently there's been a bank robbery...though that type of stuff happens all the time. If you're interested you could come but it's a bit dangerous just for anyone to handle that, it's dangerous for both of us" Sam pointed out as he didn't seem to be aware that David had a super hero identity himself. Sam had been a bit unsure if it was a good idea revealing his super persona towards David at some point he'd have to ditch him to become Nova but he was certain he'd understand.

Ooc: I figured this could be a start for them to be their super hero personas though Sam will have to leave to get his nova helmet on, not many know of his super hero side but they could meet up at the 'bank robbery' that's going on.
