After SHIELD Training (Jesse)

[Kaine Riley-Parker]

The final bell rang and Kaine couldn't have been more relieved to see that students were getting out. After gathering up his things most of the SHIELD trainees left with a hurry and he didn't blame them. He walked down a different path to avoid the students at least attempt too anyways. There seemed to be a lot in quite the rush to get out of there. The SHIELD hellicarrier also had plenty of other items like Christmas decorations draped across the hallways from only a few days ago. Now with Christmas come and gone the place was getting ready for the New Years but perhaps some of the other members of SHIELD had thought it was a good idea to keep them up. Down below the metallic ship New York was bustling with the latest snow fall and the air was chilly. Perhaps once winter was over things would start warming up again.

Kaine had been in his familiar red and black suit the one that most heroes and villains knew him by. But he knew before he could leave he had to finish things up like test papers, submitting grades, the fun paper work before he left for his own apartment and family in New York. However he knew there was a chance that other students could come in and ask questions as he'd stay behind a few hours. If they really need him they could always come right to the door.

Kaine took his mask off since he knew he'd be fine here, he didn't have to worry that much about his identity but he probably would put it back on. that was when he thought he heard someone come walking into the staff room. "I hope you realize that this is a staff room. Students aren't permitted to be in here unless they are here on serious business." Kaine said as he looked up from his desk as he filed his papers so no one could see the grades. He did his best to keep those things private and that was when he put his mask back on so they couldn't see his face, well most SHIELD agents knew who he was by now.

[Jesse Morales]

Jesse quietly conversed with a few SHIELD trainees outside of his classroom after the bell rang. He wasn't really paying attention, instead he was waiting on someone. Seeing his instructor leave his room, Jesse slipped away almost unnoticed. He walked slowly sliding his fingers on the red and green tinsel that decorated the walls as he gathered his thoughts. He sauntered into a room behind Scarlet Spider where he was met by a authoritative voice. "Yes sir, I know." Jesse's nerves where eating at him at this point, he thought about turning back after his response. "But I hoped you could help me?" Jesse held out his hand. "I'm the Black Spider, Sir." It's little chance that his own instructor wouldn't know who he was but Jesse felt compelled to introduce himself.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Black Spider, I noticed right away that you were a new student, it's easy to pick them out sometimes." Kaine said as he stood up. He glanced at the clock seeing that there was plenty of time, plus he was willing to stand back and teach the kid as much as he wanted, within reason of course. As he saw Black Spider he couldn't help but think of some of the time that he had here in his first few weeks. Suppose he could relate being a Web Warrior was exciting and also nerve wracking at the same time.

"Is there any thing particular you wanted to work on? Hand to hand combat? Powers? You name it we can do it." Kaine offered. "And I know this may be hard to believe, but I see a little bit of myself in you when I saw you earlier. A bit nervous and scared joining the Web Warriors." He admitted with a sigh knowing the Web Warriors helped change things around in his life from being a vigilante even a bad guy at one point. At first Kaine didn't want to join the Web Warriors and went loner for awhile, but perhaps some other familiar faces changed that. "But we all learn at our own pace." He said as he put away the last set of papers in a filing case before he was done.

Jesse is ashamed of his progress here at SHIELD. His time as an independent hero back in high school was unsuccessful also. He had been shot, stabbed and beat up but he has never caught a criminal without outside help. Seeing  Scarlet Spider here at SHIELD Jesse felt something for the fist time in his short career... Hope. The young trainee has been planning to talk to Scarlet Spider for weeks but couldn't find the courage to until today.

Scarlet Spider's response brought a smile onto Jesse's face, not that you can see it under his mask. As the crimson clad hero continued Jesse felt more relaxed. "Well sir, I'm not where I want to be in hand to hand combat..." Jesse paused for a second, thinking how similar their powers are. "And I haven't really gotten a hang of my powers yet." He said looking down at his feet.

Scarlet glanced at the clock it wasn't too late to be honest, he knew they could spend a good chunk of the evening if Black Spider wanted to work on things. But it seemed that he didn't know where to go with this whole power or abilities and skills part. It could be confusing at first but he'd at least help him with whatever he choose in the long run.

"Well I can try and help you out with your powers. Most spiders have some form of webbing and I have stingers too." Kaine said as he was glad to see that Black Spider was at least attempting to get some help compared to others. He knew it was going to be a rough long road but he knew Black Spider would at least get somewhere in it. "Not many know this mostly because I don't talk about it publicly, I have an ability that allows me to draw acid out and put acidic hand prints on others, it sort of burns them. It's so horrifying to some people I don't see my self using it." He admitted knowing to some they probably didn't see this as a problem but it leaves scars on others for long periods of times, even for life. "How about we start walking to an empty training room and you can figure out on your way there?" He asked seeing that Black Spider still looked puzzled.

This is the second time Scarlet Spider looked at the clock, curious Black Spider took a glance himself. His attention was brought back to his instructor as he explained his capabilities. 'I don't use my stingers, they're WAY too lethal...' It became obvious that asking Scarlet Spider for help was the best choice for Jesse. 'What? That last one sounds a bit cruel but i learn how to control the powers I was given. I'll just use the lethal ones when I don't have any other option.'

This guy's arua kind of intimidated Jesse but it's something about him that he could help but want to be like him. Is this what it's like to have a hero to look up to? "Oh yeah, sure." He excitedly expressed on the way out. "Um, I do shoot webs from my wrists but occasionally I'll use my fingertips." Black Spider stayed a half a step behind his hero in an attempt to keep how excited he was from him. "I try my best to not use my stingers... I don't want to kill anyone." He looked at his arm where his stinger would be if they were out. "But I do have spider legs I like to keep hidden." Jesse relaxed his muscles to erect his four legged secret. "Gross, right?"

These days most spiders had their different set of powers, Kaine knew of MIguel or Spider-Man 2099 who had various sets of powers maybe Jesse needed to meet him one day to get an insight on how to use some powers as well. He listened to Jesse as he gave out more of his powers. Some of them were typical with the ability to use stingers and webbing while the ones he hadn't heard of were having extra legs. He wasn't that phased by it but gave him a soft nod towards him. "They are different that's for sure I bet the legs can give you extra climbing or extra footing even if they are a bit freaky." Kaine admitted knowing all powers were different.

"As for your stingers they can be used for defensive purposes. I understand if you don't like to use them they've proven to be very valuable when I fight though." Kaine said as he came up to one door seeing that they arrived. He placed a gloved hand over one of the security systems, "Welcome Kaine, also known as Scarlet Spider, please come in." The computer AI said as Scarlet Spider stepped in as he let Jesse in as well through a guest. As they arrived in it was a massive training room and this was only one of many to choose from as he climbed up onto the wall and went to something like a tight rope as he clung to it rather flawlessly with his acrobatics. "We can do just about anything here, but I can't stay forever I have to leave at around 9:00 to get back to my girlfriend." Kaine pointed out seeing that they had several hours before that time came. "Now what do you wanna do kid? Or am I gonna have to pick for you?"
