PERSONALITY Anyone meeting Jesse for the first time would probably see him as something a young man with potential, just not having set a direction for his life. However, that is because nowadays ... he has found his life hectic with trying to make a name for himself as a hero. It has also made him a bit more guarded than he was before even among his friends when it comes to keeping people from finding out that Jesse Morales and Black Spider are the same person. None the less, he is still a friendly and outgoing person who has learned that having friends you can rely on is just as important as family. With trying to be a hero though, he knows there is much he still has to learn. This can lead to him doubting himself at times and his lack of experience sometimes means he is charging into fights when he isn't ready for them. Mostly though, he is just a young man who is determined to be as good as hero as he possibly can be. If it means taking risk and putting his neck on the line so innocent people don't get hurt, then that is something he can easily live with. Of course, he still is scared of the glare he would get from his father if he ever found out about him going out at night and trying to help the city just like the other heroes do. Jesse has found a love in science and while he sometimes struggles with learning parts of it, he doesn't give up trying to learn more. While he is far from being anything near a skilled fighter, Jesse has learned a little from his adoptive parents how to throw a punch and fight a little. Since taking on the identity of Black Spider, he had started trying to learn how to include his abilities into some kind of fighting style. However, it is still a work in progress. HISTORY Jesse is the son of Miles Morales of Earth 1610 and Gwen Stacy of Earth 65. Three years after he was born the Sinister Six of Miles' Earth forced him to flee with his family to Gwen's Earth. Unfortunately they were followed by the big Six which of whom joined that Earth's Six. Jesse's parents were then force to send him to another dimension. They entrusted that Earth's S.H.I.E.L.D. with their son until they are able to come back for him. Jesse was given two S.H.I.E.L.D agents as replacement parents until his real parents came back. Regardless of all the strange things that had happened in his life already, Jesse grew up a pretty normal life when his powers manifested his last year of middle school. His adoptive parents hid the fact that they where agents until his second year in high school when they dicovered he had became a vigilante. Jesse is a freshman in college and currently a brand new member of Web Warriors. He hasn't really worked with any other heroes or be part of a team before now. S.H.I.E.L.D had provided a nice apartment in new York city and pays for all of his expenses but he is looking for a job so he wouldn't have to rely on S.H.I.E.L.D. Powers Spider Physiology: Jesse possesses powers inherited from his mother and father. Superhuman Strength: Jesse is now able to lift and carry up to ten tons. This physical strength is present in all of his muscles though. It is the reason he is able to perform leaps and jumps to include several stories in a single bound as well as lift and carry things. However, it also means he has to be very mindful of just how much of his strength he is using and how he is using it. This leads to him having to pull his punches and kicks so that he doesn't kill someone accidentally when he is only trying to incapacitate them. Superhuman speed: He can run and move at speeds beyond the physical limitations of even the greatest human athletes. Mostly though, this comes into play when he is leaping around and moving more than just outright running. Superhuman Stamina: Where the average person and even athletes find they have a point they can't fight fatigue any more, Jesse is able to push himself far beyond their limits. He is able to push his body at peak performance for several hours before he even starts to the feel the effect of fatigue setting in. Yet, he does limits of his own and can't go non-stop. It just takes him a bit more time than it does the average person before he needs to slow down and rest or risk exhaustion. Superhuman Durability: One of the changes that has happened to his body is that he is now physically tougher and able to better handle certain forms of injuries better than the average person. This mostly applies to blunt force trauma since something with a sharp enough of an edge can cut him like it would any other person. Also, he is not bullet-proof. Bullet can and will hurt or kill him just like they would anyone else. So while he may be able to take and hit and them some, he is far from invincible. Superhuman agility: Jesse is able to perform acts of agility that even the most skilled Olympic-level gymnast wish they could do. This is because his agility, sense of balance, and bodily coordination are enhanced to levels in the superhuman range. He uses this the most in fights and while in action since not getting hit and avoiding attacks meant to hit him is a much better option than trying to figure out if he can take the hit or not. Superhuman equilibrium: Able to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium no matter what position his body is in. This is in part due to his body being able to maintain a steady flow of blood without having to worry about blood pooling anywhere in his body when he isn't standing upright. Also, his inner ear is enhanced to the point that no matter what unusual angle his body is at, he will never feel unbalanced. Superhuman reflexes: Jesse's fast-twitch muscles are enhanced to about 20 times that of the average person. As a result of that, he is able to combine that with his spider-sense to dodge most attacks directed at him. Accelerated Vision: Jesse's visual acuity is considerably beyond that of a normal human. Jesse can see objects at much greater distances, with perfect clarity, relative to an ordinary human. Jesse possesses this same level of clarity at night, enabling him to see in near-complete darkness. It is possible that he is able to see into the infra-red end of the electromagnetic spectrum, enabling him to see a person's body heat. The flicker-fusion horizon (the speed at which some objects appear as a blur) in his eyes is superior to other people. What appears as a blur to most people, he can see perfectly. It also acts as a type of early warning, not the degree of a spider-sense but he is able to see attacks coming from far away. His vision also gives him the ability to see energy waves. Superhuman Hearing: Jesse's hearing is superhumanly acute and enables her to detect sound at virtually any frequency, and she's been known to detect, sort out, and correctly identify sounds through thick steel doors, and across considerable distances. Wall-Crawling: He is able to cling to any surface using just his fingertips and feet via a subconscious use of the Van der Waals force. Basically, it means that he uses a natural electrostatic force which attracts all surfaces on a molecular level. Of course it is a much more scaled up version that what spiders use, but it allows him to cling to almost any surface via his hands and feet as easily as if he was walking. With more concentration, he can also extend to this to the rest of his of his body. He can channel this same energy endothermically through his hands and leave a severe burn mark on a person by making skin-to-skin contact with them. Spider-sense: Whenever something that is a danger to Jesse is around him or directed at him, he has a sixth sense which kicks in. This sense is something along the lines of being precognitive in nature which reacts as an instinctive thing to anything he perceives as a threat and does not react to those things he consciously doesn't consider a threat. However, just because he can sense a threat to him, that doesn't mean he can always avoid it. A bullet is much easier to avoid than a massive explosion which affects a much larger area. Biological/Organic Webbing Generation: Jesse has the ability to organically produce his own silk webbing from glands within his forearms, limited by his body's health and nutrition. These organic webs has many of the same properties as Spider-Man's artificial webbing. The silk is released through a spinneret near each wrist containing a central web spigot orifice used for web-slinging and drag lines, supplemented by several radial minor spigots for other types of webs connected to specialized glands. He also releases his organic webbing through his fingertips. Bio-Electrokinesis/venom blast: Jesse possesses control over the natural electricity his body produces. He is capable of utilizing it for offensive purposes in the form of something he calls his venom blast. By making physical contact with someone or something, he is able to channel his bio-electricity into a shocking attack that can disable a person or destroy anything vulnerable to electricity. Mostly, he uses this to daze people or incapacitate them with little or no collateral damage. However, he is also capable of increasing his electrical output up to a mega venom blast if he needs to. This leaves him exhausted though and is not something he will do unless he has to. He can enhance the power of his punches by infusing his fists with bio-electricity. He can imbue threads webs with bio-electricity leaving him with Taser Webs. Spider-camouflage: He doesn't exactly know how he is able to do it, but Jesse is able to make himself and his clothing blend into his surroundings. Something akin to invisibility, it lets him hide in plain sight and sneak up on people. A limiting factor is that it is only truly effective if he is not moving or moving really slow. Fangs: Jesse possesses elongated canine teeth that secrete a paralyzing, though non-toxic, venom. Corrosive Spit: The mouth of Jesse can generate a corrosive substance capable of disintegrating clothes on contact. Spider-Legs: Jesse possesses four spider-legs growing from his back. Having them out is their natural state, but Jesse can conceal them in his back with concentration, though this leaves him with feelings of pressure. Stingers: Jesse has developed retractable, razor-sharp stingers that are located within his arms below his wrists below his spinneret. They release and are coated in a polyamine venom, which when shot, cause minor paralysis. Pheromone Secretion: His metabolism generates certain types of pheromones that can create fear, elicit attraction and/or repulsion on others, depending on unknown factors which might include gender and mood. Regeneration: Jesse is able to regenerate from most injuries much faster than the average human is able to. Sprains and pulled muscles are something he never has to worry about and even things like broken bones take only days to heal instead of weeks or months. Still, the more severe an injury, the more time it takes for him to regenerate from and he is not able to regenerate lost limbs. Contaminant Immunity: Jesse's metabolism rapidly creates powerful immunities to all forms of toxins, poisons and drugs, after an initial exposure that usually makes him dizzy. His body is totally immune to radiation. Limitations and weaknesses: Despite all of Jesse abilities as a result of inheritance, he has many great abilities. However, he also still possesses weaknesses. Ethyl Chloride pesticide is able to dull his reflexes if he is sprayed with the stuff or it is prevalent in an area. It also disables his spider-sense for as long as he is around the stuff. As far as his regeneration goes, it functions in terms of hours and day and isn't an instant thing. That means, he still has to be mindful of getting hurt since he can't heal from dead if he gets killed. Password here:Cosmos |
