Vanora Sinclair
PERSONALITY Vanora is a young demi-goddess who could be considered a borderline sociopath, especially compared to the rest of her family. She holds a great deal of disregard of putting others around her in danger or being rather reckless with her actions to the point she could be considered impulsive and a risk taker. Other concerns are of little concern for someone like Vanora, finding a thrill in causing mayhem and worrying about consequences later rather than in the moment. In fact, Vanora seems to be a furball full of unhindered hatred and rage, made worse by her feral mutant heritage. To say the least, Vanora is crude, brash, and harsh in her tone and her actions. She'll gladly tell someone how she feels towards them, whether she cares about them, hates their guts, or downright respects them or wants them dead. She is very sharp tongued and brutally honest, with her attitude being less than welcoming to many. She comes off as insane or nothing more than a brutish animal befitting her lycan form when in reality she genuinely seems to have issues going on, many of which have never been looked into or made worse by her relationship towards her mother. But, there is a small bit of her that can be seen from time to time. Vanora isn't all anger and bite, she genuinely does care for others who do not press her buttons or who she might respect. If they are family aside from her mother, she shows a greater bit of curiosity and wanting to understand them and is all for trying to make connections with others given time. She is not quick to trust and is weary, but she has a dry wit, twisted sense of humor, and can most often be mostly sarcastic when her anger is kept in check, even protective at times. Though, should she ever be around Wolfsbane or those who support her mother, Vanora flies into a blind fury that is not easily kept in check. HISTORY Vanora is the youngest child of Hrimhari and Rahen Sinclair, born roughly a year after her brother Tier Sinclair. Unlike Tier, Vanora was taken to Asgard shortly before she was to be born and where Rahen gave birth to her youngest child, one of the few happy moments in their lives. And it was for those first two years in which Vanora was growing exceptionally quick as her brother did that things seemed generally normal. Both of her parents raised her and Tier with love and care in Asgard, the two even often playing with other Asgardian children and learning the culture of their Asgardian heritage. Vanora in particular took a liking to learning how to use Asgardian close quarters combat and sought to learn from her father. He was more than happy to teach the young white wolfess, seeing a potential in her to do great things as much as his son could. Unfortunately, during her second year of life and already appearing to be ten years old, Vanora began to show a far more drastic, feral side beyond what was normally seen. Her mother's religious views seemed to kick in with growing concerned that her daughter had a growing evil inside her while Hrimhari tried to reassure his mate that it was perhaps simply the mutant side of her. Regardless however, Vanora seemed to get worse and by the end of her second year her and her mother began to become at odds with one another. Wolfsbane growing dismay and disdain for her daughter became a source of fury for Vanora who felt her mother was treating her unfairly just because she was more feral than her brother. The only ones who help mediate it were Tier and Hrimhari themselves who took turns spending time with either mother and daughter but keeping them separated. To keep herself occupied, Vanora put her time into training and traveling around Asgard's realm, the only things that kept her in check and from doing something she would regret. The years seemed to blur by that things did not improve and actually seemed to become worse among the family, even sometimes requiring the intervention of others. Vanora's rage became so bad that many began avoiding her and rumors sometimes popped up that she might be a demon after all or possessed by someone such as Surtur or other enemies of Asgard. This drove the young demi-goddess to became resentful of the only home she had known and deciding to make plans to leave Asgard to find a much different realm she could call home and fit in, recalling the stories of Midgard, which seemed to have a little of everything. Thus, a few months ago, Vanora made her plans and packed her things. But, before she left, she sought to tell her father and brother she was leaving but stopped when she overheard her parents talking about her growing erratic behavior. Though she began to feel guilty and was about to suggest a better way to handle her growing issues, this was quickly put aside when her mother called her a "demon spawn" and expressed nothing but disgust. In utter fury, Vanora attacked her mother in a blind rage causing her father to have to use his full wolf powers to drag her off and after she left without another word. Shortly after arriving to Midgard, Vanora found herself approached by a younger generation of Dark Avengers, gladly joining them for a chance of taunting those her mother held as family. Powers Asgardian Lycanthropy: Vanora is the daughter of an Asgardian wolf god and lupine mutant, naturally giving her a white furred werewolf form that is humanoid in appearance. She is covered in soft but thick snow white fur, seemingly inherited from her distant ancestor Fenrir on her father's side, with razor sharp claws, fangs, and visible tail. This has also given her the following powers: +Shapeshifting: Due to her parents both being capable of shifting between human and wolf forms, Vanora likewise inherited such an ability, but prefers her transitional form she currently has. She also has her own unique ability to take on any wolf state but they are always within or slightly above her current mass. +Superhuman Strength: Vanora's body is far stronger than a normal human, her muscles and bones being tougher than a normal human's own making her more than capable of lifting 15 tons with relative ease. +Superhuman Durability: Due to her denser bones, muscle tissue, and skin, Vanora has greater durability than most having shown herself more than capable of taking on stronger opponents in Asgard despite her demi-goddess status. Though she can be harmed she can survive burns, falling off from high places, and taking on superhumanly strong individuals with showing little pain or some discomfort. +Superhuman Speed: Vanora largely retains all human capability in her werewolf state but is capable of running the same as a wolf, which is 37 mph. In a normal wolf state this is slightly faster or when she is running on all fours. +Superhuman Agility: Vanora, like her mother, is far more limber and shares the agility, coordination, and balance of an animal, especially those of a wolf and is exceptionally acrobatic due to her smaller frame than most Asgardians. +Keen Senses: Vanora's sight, smell, and hearing are equal to that of a wolf while she retains a human intelligence, making her well aware of what is going on and what others are saying even when in a full wolf state. This allows her to see the infrared spectrum, ultraviolet spectrum, and heat and detect pheromones and emotions in others. Regenerative Healing: Inherited from both sides of her family, Vanora heals three times faster than a human, which includes gun shots, stabs, and broken bones which can heal within minutes or mere days of being harmed. She is immune to alcohol and mostly immune to mild poisons and disease. Near-Immortal: Due to her Asgardian heritage, Vanora is immortal to an extent that she is exceptionally difficult to kill and is capable of living a long life, perhaps up to a few thousand years. Weaknesses +Shapeshifting: Vanora is capable of shifting into different wolves of most any type, but that's as far as her abilities go. If they are not of some wolf-like origin she cannot take that form nor can she take another's human state, only her own. +Senses: Like any of those with keen senses, Vanora is highly affected by certain smells, sounds, and tastes which can throw her off balance, lose track of a scent, or make her disoriented and sick. Her sight can also be a problem if something is thrown into them or bright lights come into her vision, causing her to once more become disoriented or blinded. +Half human heritage: Due to her demi-goddess status, Vanora's capabilities as an Asgardian is far weaker than a full blooded Asgardian or those recognized a proper gods among the pantheon. Thus most of her abilities are far weaker and despite her lineage she herself does not wield magic. +Temper: Due to her feral nature and anger problems, Vanora has a quick temper and short fuse. Many things can set her off and she is immediately jumping the gun to take her wrath on those who press her buttons. But it is this temper that makes her more likely to fall into a feral state or bloodlust frenzy that can put many at risk around her. +Human State: Though she can change at will between human and wolf forms, Vanora cannot maintain her human state for long. She can last roughly twelve hours in this form before she reverts back to her werewolf-like state without meaning to which she must wait a whole day before she can go back to this state once more.
