Steve Rogers
Captain America | 80s/90s | Avengers
Steve is the genetic father of James and the one person he despises the most. James has been with the Avengers for a year now but the one person he refuses to acknowledge is Steve, mostly for the fact people have spent their time comparing him to his genetic father since he was created. James' purpose was to be capable of matching Captain America in skill and power, to be his equal, HYDRA's solution to having their own "Captain" to rid of their enemies, especially Steve. Their comparison between the two has left James bitter to be the son of the famous hero and at the moment the two are on tense terms.
Natasha Romanov
Black Widow | 80s/90s | Avengers or SHIELD
The genetic mother of James and a long time member of the Avengers and SHIELD. James feels more of a kinship with Natasha than Steve, mostly because he feels they are more alike than himself and his father. He has been trained in espionage, being a spy, and many other skills like that of Natasha to be able to be a deceiver, liar, and a tool for HYDRA and match her to some point in skill. Due to their similarities, James is more willing to accept Natasha as a mother but the two's overall relationship is up to the adopter.
Sharon Carter
Agent 13 | 40s | SHIELD, up to adopter
Another long time member of SHIELD who has been an ally of Captain America for years and eventually became his lover or wife (up to adopter). James hasn't met Sharon in person but has heard much about her during his years among HYDRA and being among the Avengers, and at the moment he holds respect for her as a person. He holds nothing against her for being with his father but is skeptical that she hasn't put herself at risk for a man not deserving of it, but whether the two will have a good relationship or a tense one would be up to the adopter.
Ellie Rogers
15 or 16 | Mostly likely Avengers, open to adopter
Ellie Rogers is the daughter of Steve Rogers and Sharon Carter and technically James' paternal half-sister that he actually only recently became aware of. At the moment, James' knowledge of Ellie is very little since she is one of the few people he was not aware of when it came to the Rogers family and feels their relationship would be awkward more than anything. Whether it is or Ellie feels something else entirely is up to the adopter.
