First Date (Brandi)

[Miguel O'Hara]

Miguel and Brandi arrived in due time in New York at the water front, not far from the statue of liberty to make sure that they didn't attract any attention in their direction by some civilians. Once they touched down he got out of the jet as it'd bring itself back on autopilot back to where the Hellicarrier was in the sky. "Looks like we made it, and it's not very active here either. Just a handful of people on." Miguel sighed as he put on his sunglasses hoping it didn't look weird that he was wearing them this late at night. It was probably going on about 8 or 9 o' clock at night. The sky was pretty dark and the sound of the ocean waves could be heard among some people talking and they seemed to be focused on their won activities at hand. Instead they got away with it this time with touching down. Once they were away the jet took off again with a soft whirring noise.


"So where's this pizza place again? It shouldn't be that far away from the-oh there it is I found it on my phone. It's not far from here. It's a short walk if anything." He explained, as he looked back at her realizing he might've forgotten where it was by now. Miguel felt a bit nervous but he did feel better that Brandi was here with him. At least the two of them would be disguised as human civilians together. Usually when he went to new York he was as Spider-Man and with the Web Warriors. Maybe he just needed to get out a bit more? That was always a possibility to get used to it. After all he wandered around Nueva York all the time as a civilian in his child hood.

He just had to remember that he couldn't stand out as Miguel he'd probably act like a wimpy helpless older adult. He also had a back pack, that had his spider-man suit in it just in case something happened, but he doubted he'd need it. He just hoped that nothing would go wrong tonight. "I'm glad we're able to spend this night together that's always a good thing." He added with a smile back towards her.

She smiled little bit as she got out of the jet she was actually happy for changed that she wasn't here for a mission. The fact was she wanted this for long time she never have gotten ironically the courage to talk guys expect when she needed expect for Sam of course. She wanted be with him and didn't mind that he was wearing sunglasses at night because twice he has reminded her that he didn't do well in bright light.

She didn't actually mind his awkwardness since she was nervous as she stood there beside him kind of having her hands together.She then looked towards the restaurant that was just feet in front of them. She then looked towards and then nodded little bit towards him" alright then lets go then"She didn't want a normal like date the reason she had chosen the place because it was her favorite place. She just came from a very cold place and wanted to be with person she had feelings for namely Miguel. She then decided to lead him to restaurant the place was one of those places that you order at counter and tell Cashier what they wanted.She then gives him a menu and smiled little bit " you can order first Miguel " She didn't know what do on a date exactly but she wanted this to be perfect.

Miguel let Brandi lead the way since he hadn't been there before. He looked around seeing that tonight at the water front it was calm and cool out which was great. There didn't seem to be any sign of danger, and if there was his spidey sense would've detected it. Once they went in side they found a menu to order from. He nodded as he looked over the menu pizza sounded good but pasta sounded good also. "Wow they have a lot of choices to pick from." He added in surprise. "How about some pasta for me? I like the ones with the cream sauce I think it's called Fettuchini alfredo." He said seeing the name on the menu. Then it was Brandi's turn to order.

"Alright Brandi it's your turn." Miguel said as he gave her the menu. They could always take some pizza home if they were too full to eat right now, so that was a good sign for later. He looked around seeing that there were still plenty of seats left to take, perhaps they could take a booth or two seats by the window to watch the water. He also noticed that there were a few stars out. "Uh where I live Brandi I don't see that many stars there are too many lights." he pointed out knowing light pollution was a big problem even now. "You can see a lot now." He pointed out having a slight fascination for it.

Brandi just smiled cheerful she was happy that he was also having a good time as she was. There was not many people here expect for one other couple so they are mostly on there own. The fact was it felt wonderful that for once she got to be just normal Brandi Cypress and not had to worry about demons and other such villains that they had to face on daily basis.The world was pretty crazy but she was glad to to finally find someone that she wanted to stay with forever.The fact was Miguel was her first in awhile although has other guys things always seem to happen to stop her getting anyone to be that close too.

The mins went past and they were alone with their food and to enjoy their dinner together.There was suddenly very loud bang and shattering of glass of the window that their sitting her marks go" Dammit..."She goes to get up but two sharp shadow like things shoot at her knocked her down piecing into her shoulders before she can dodge. There was a someone in shadowy hood standing there the civilians outside were in choas running away from the danger they were in. The man looked really frighting as shadow mist started to pour into the building.

Miguel also enjoyed their time together as he sat down at the table and was eating his alfredo dish. It was warm but just enough to warm up his stomach and body and he had almost finished it. However something stopped him as he felt his spidey sense go off he cringed feeling it since it was so strong. Such a warning like that made him worry as a bit of adrenaline rushed through him but by then it was too late as the glass smashed behind them and he tried to duck. Some of the glass just missed him by inches but he knew he couldn't be Spider-Man out here he needed a place to change.

"Brandi who is that?" Miguel asked not realizing who Ojike was or what the man was doing. "I need to find a place to change. I can't go running around as well you know." He said knowing that his Spider-Man out fit was still in his backpack which was sitting down below him as he grabbed it. He was glad that Ojike or no other villains managed to get it. Some of the humans were getting out of the way and area of the restaurant which was good for their sake, an alarm probably sounded once the glass broke noticing the intruder was trying to break in. "I hope that's ok, I feel bad leaving you." He said but he knew it'd only be for a couple of minutes at most he could change into his suit pretty quickl.

The man smirked little as he stepped forward he pinned Agent Cypress into the with his shadow tentacles she was coughing as he started to wrap her neck she was seeing all kind of image in front of her such as all of the people cares about dead.He would have gotten Miguel as well but he seem to have gotten away and speaks in softly"don't worry my dear the pain will end very soon hehehee" Brandi was unable to fight as becomes she was under inference of his poisonous fear mist.

She didn't have a resistance to something that like that and she was just about limp from it as blood dripped down her shoulders. He made another stabbing her again but this time in her palms and legs and laughed as she screams in pain and he stepped back and watched as the tears go down her face. The man was completely insane as he watched his victims pain not really speaking anymore and not noticing that proberly the oncoming hero that is about to stop him from killing his victim and he makes one more blade with his shadows and aimed for her chest.

Miguel felt horrible but he knew he would be risking his identidy in this. Quickly he went out back as he ran with his backpack and undressed, "Of all the bad days for me to have to be Spider-Man." He sighed to himself as he finished and got his mask on and the rest of his suit. He webbed his back pack to the wall making a mental note to come back and get his clothing before someone saw that. As he came in he saw that the restauraunt was empty but he knew there were more important things at hand.

"Heay tall dark and freaky let my friend go!" Miguel said in a demanding tone. As he jumped over one of the fallen tables he sent a blast of webbing onto Ojike's arm to try and hold him back. That part was a bit of a distraction as he came down with a powerful kick to try and shake Ojike off of Brandi. Once he was done he sat on one of the turned over tables. It reminded him of a bar almost that you see in western movies. But that was when he realized that there was some glass that had gotten in his arm when he thought it missed him for sure, apparently his healing factor was working on that for him. "I said let my friend go!" He said in a demanding tone as Spider-Man had his webbing hands out ready to fire more rounds.

[Ojike Zutsumei]

He almost had the tip of the blade into her chest but he was suddenly pulled back and he was yelled at.He turned to see a man dressed in blue and Red spider-man like suit and kind of narrowed his eyes.The distraction actually worked as he was kicked away from his victim making fall on ground and he then gets up and looked towards him and tints his head little bit he didn't know who this was.The fact was he didn't actually care though although he had encountered someone just like him awhile ago when he first attacked the city.

He was completely focused on Spider-man and just smiled in a very creepy way laughed little bit.The man had no emotion in his as he stood there covered in Brandi's blood and he stepped towards him. He reformed his sword he doesn't even seem to care if he was being called a freak he had already let Brandi and now he was going after him and he sends some of his mist towards him and swings his blade towards him. The fear mist swirled it was black little dark shade of purple.The guy's expreesion didn't even change as he makes his move towards him.

"What is this?" Miguel asked as he saw the purple mist surround him. There was sudden change and fear in his eyes as he realized what was happening, although it was just an illusion he saw Brandi die right before his eyes as he felt anger and fear hit his emotions. He hadn't expected this. There they went over and over again as they were killing his best friend and his lover he wasn't about to let anyone ruin this night and he was certain of that.

"No leave Brandi alone!" He called out as he sent out some webbing nito the area where he thought Ojike was. This time he hoped to give Ojike an electrical shock. He knew by now he needed to call SHIELD for help in case he couldn't handle this alone. Just one spider hero couldn't do everything. "Requesting for SHIELD back up! I need help at the pier in New York." Miguel managed to call out but he knew that was about all that he could do as he tried to not only protect himself and as well as Brandi as he had no idea how bad her condition was. But as he sent out the electrical webbing he came down with his claws as he tried to swipe at what he thought was Ojike. All he could do now was wait for SHIELD to arrive and stay alive for his sake and Brandi's sake.

[Ojike Zutsumei]

" she is already dead Spider-man or she will soon be and you will be joining her " He knew for the fact that she wasn't but he wanted to anger the hero.The man could sense his fear and anger and he wanted to get under his skin little bit. He smirked as he called for help on his communicator and he just smirked towards him.He was actually enjoying this because he loved to see the pain of humans and superhumans alike he sees them as all corrupted people ever since he was blamed for his parents death this has created another personally in him that was sadistic and cruel hearted and some would say very messed up in the head.

The guy also had another side him the kind and innocent man he used to be before the horrible event that took away his parents he suffered for years. He didn't realized that he was about to be hit with electrified even though he was experienced one when he fought Scarlet spider.He suddenly felt the electric shock as he the webs hits his body and it caused him to fall over to ground.The pain went though him as he growled little bit and then got up shaking and then rushed him while sending his shadow tentacles to attempt to wrap his arms and legs.He knew he was partal under the influence of his shadow mist.The guy already have show that he was very dangerous with him killing hundreds of people and he wanted to do that again.

"She won't be dead on my watch." Miguel said knowing he had to protect the people and that included Brandi too. He heard SHIELD's end of communication. "Just give us ten minutes Spider-Man we're on our way." The SHIELD agent said on the other line as Miguel sighed. He wished they would get her sooner but he knew that they had to move a massive hellicarrier across New York and he imagine that wasn't going to be easy. "Just hurry." He called out. "We have a SHIELD agent down." He called out.

"Let go of me!" Miguel said as he felt the tentacles wrap around his right arm and his left leg making him immobile for a second. He tried to claw at them with his sharp finger like hands hoping that'd break them off. Though he thought about shadows, there was that old saying that light always triumphed over dark. Could this be no different? He looked up noticing that the lights were still going but he wondered if he could give them a little bit of a jolt of electricity to help them get brighter. "Well here goes nothing." Miguel said as he sent out his webbing in his free hand as he attatched it to the lights and hoped that the shock would brighten the room. He sent out the current

[Ojike Zutsumei]

The man just smirked little bit as he started to wrap him tightly as he struggled against his shadow tentacles as he screamed to let go. He loved when he his victims begged but what he didn't expect was him making the street lamps brighter.He suddenly gasped in pain as bright light hits him forcing him to let him go back up from the light.The man had a huge fear of bright. The light was really painful for him as he shielded himself giving time for anyone to save them. The shadow mist was dissolving from the air but still little bit present but little bit weaker.

Miguel felt some of the electricity run through his hands a bit as he was forced to let go but it did the job. Ojike was in a much weaker state now as he went instinctively to go to try and check on Brandi. But as he moved forward through the rubble a large roaring sound could be heard over head. He looked up seeing that SHIELD had arrived as he spotted the shadow moving nearby as he figured it was Ojike still lurking around. "If you're still here Ojike I'd suggest you leave while you can this place will be surrounded by SHIELD agents." Miguel said.

It wasn't long before one agent came in as they touched down on the ground, "Get to agent cypress she's the one who needs the most help." Miguel said as he realized only then that his hands had been bleeding from the glass and the electricity sure felt funny too going through his body. He would need some medical attention too but probably not near as bad as as Brandi probably right now. "Brandi I hope you're alright. I hope he was lying." He said as he held onto his hands a bit as some other agents came to tend to his injuries too.

Ojike actually managed to escaped Shield confinement and he suddenly ran away from the bright light and staggered away from the area. The moments pass on as they quickly worked to save her lift because her wounds were pretty serious since the guy and the glass had done quite a number on her body.She was actually halfway sedated because she was still under the fear mist effect she was actually in stared as she lied there on the bed. The whole event was pretty traumatic because it happened on a night that was suppose to be a good one.

The doctors and staff wanted to make sure that she didn't do anything too crazy because they knew that she will want to get out of the medbay as soon as possible and they didn't want to her to strain herself so they made sure that she rested,. She was seemed to be sleeping there silently connected to machine that was keeping track of her vials. They were making sure that she wasn't disturbed too much since she just was recovering she has yet to even notice anyone was visiting her at this moment.

Ooc: Going to combine Sam and Miguel's post thought it'd be a little bit better.

Bic: "Brandi I hope you're alright." Miguel said as he sat on one of the chairs nearby as he was dressed in his civilian clothing. Right next to him was his backpack but he had his hands wrapped up from stopping the bleeding that happened with his cuts on his hands from the glass. He sighed as it wasn't long before he heard the door open from the medical room as an older Sam and a concerned looking Sam came in. The concern was written all over his face as he had his helmet in his hands and gripped tightly.

"The doctors weren't kidding about her being in a bad situation." Sam said with a frown. "I don't know if I'm angry at you Miguel or angry at Ojike." He said putting his helmet down on the table before sitting down at one of the chairs that was empty. "I understand if you're angry at me." He added. "But at the same time." Sam said. "I'm glad you were able to save her. So thank you for that." Sam admitted as he saw Miguel crack a faint smile but it didn't last long as he hoped that Brandi would wake up so they could talk. He knew their date night had been ruined and he wondered if their other dates would be in this much trouble being in the super hero realm. "Well great power comes with great responsibility." Miguel said softly knowing Sam probably heard that one before.
