Some Family Time (Katherine)

Things had been rough these last couple of weeks but nothing too bad or dangerous. Kaine was just glad he had managed to get the weekend off from SHIELD and the Web Warriors so he could spend some time with his family. That meant Katherine and the two kids. It was Friday morning as his alarm went off at around 8:00am and he wasn't exactly a morning person as he pulled up the covers. "Aw man turn it off." Kaine grumbled as he pulled up the covers to his face but it wasn't helping. The sun was shining in the room before he sighed. He was awake now too late to try and go back to sleep. He rubbed his eyes and got up, then got dressed in his civilian clothing. His Scarlet Spider suit was hung up in the closet where he could keep it out of sight if anyone saw it

His attire usually was of a hoodie jacket since it was getting colder out, jean pants and a t-shirt and that was about it. He was sure that Katherine was awake by now as he came out to find that Kaiden was sitting in the kitchen table. "Morning daddy." He said with a soft smile as Kaine smiled back. "Morning kid, I guess your brother is still sleeping. Any sign of mom?" He asked as Kaiden shook his head. "That's alright she'll be around when she's ready." Kaine said as he went to go turn on the coffee machine in the kitchen. He started to make some pancakes, he wasn't the best cooker but he had done pancakes before as he turned on the news hearing the usual stuff about the superheroes, SHIELD, and the Avengers. It was hard to miss that type of stuff. "Well if Mom does come around I can make her some pancakes, she has been teaching me to cook but I'm not good." Kaine said figuring that he could be a super hero but not make food for himself, suppose he didn't have time for that type of stuff.

Katherine had fallen to sleep in her office with her tail curled around her and she was leaned over.She had a long night of giving out grades sheusually did outside classes but she still had to give out grades. The smell of pancakes suddenly reached her and her perked up and she smiled little bit.She then walked towards the kitchen she looked like crap but she didn't mind it and much and she knew that her son and Kaine didn't mind how she looked in morning.

she had a pounding headache from her caffeine withdraw since she hasn't had any for but but she tried to smiled" good morning Kaine and Kaiden "She smiled as goes to fix someone coffee and with some pumpkin creamer.She couldn't start her day with her morning coffee and she is usually very grumpy without it.She wasn't exactly a morning person and she was given a break from teaching she let wolverine handle them,. She wanted to spend more time with her family and it was great to be good parent.

"Good morning Katherine. You look just like me...with the not being a morning person part." Kaine said as he greated her and gave her a kiss on the cheek. Suppose Kaiden took after his grandmother on Kaiden's side Mrs Riley was an early riser and had always been that way. "I think Kaiden takes after his grandmother on my side she woke up at 6:00am just to get me to school." Kaine admitted with a sigh before looking back as he saw Katherine. It looked like Kade was still sleeping but he'd wake him up later to see how he was feeling and if he wanted to eat too. He must've had a long couple of days.

"So did anything interesting happen to you guys?" Kaine asked as he put the finished pancakes on the table. He also took his pumpkin coffee seeing that it was a good idea from the one that Katherine took. So far he was glad these last few days his spidey sense hadn't gone of. So for the most part it was quiet. "Aunt May took us to the park the other day it was fun. I guess Kaide got worn out from it." He admitted as he started to eat the pancakes and Kaine sat down in the other chair.

She held her coffee she wasn't in too much of laughing at moment but she just smiled towards him.She just listened commenting that Kaiden being like his grandmother.She kissed him back and sips her coffee as her ears flicked little bit as she listened to talk about being taken to the park it sounded like they had a lot of fun. She wanted her family to be really happy and she works really hard to keep the world a safe place although she felt she hasn't done enough though but she didn't want to talk about that.

She needed someday take the boys to the park or maybe somewhere great like a amusement park or something like that she was actually planning something pretty big for the holidays.The fact was she didn't do anything interesting on her end but she decided to tell them about what happened during her class " well I hosted Survival class with Wolverine we went out camping in forest "

"Sounds like it was an intense one. I heard Wolverine is gruff and a bit rough around the edges...like Fury." Kaine said as he heard Katherine speak up. He had never met Wolverine as his travels as Scarlet Spider, but a half of him didn't exactly want to mess with those claws. Still a fight with one of the most deadliest men would've been an interesting. "Well if we're going to go to the park we can get ready for it. Kaiden when you're done wake your brother up and get dressed." Kaine said as their first son nodded understanding as he continued to eat some of the food on his plate like the pancakes.

"Maybe we might see another super hero while we're out?" Kaiden asked sounding hopeful. "I saw SHIELD on the news recently apparently there was some sort of demonic attack?" Kaiden asked not understanding full what demons are at his young age and he hoped not to come across them. "Don't worry Kaiden I'm sure SHIELD took care of it and other super heroes. Mom and i can always be here to protect you guys until you're old enough to defend yourself." Kaine said. "yeah it's cool to have parents as super heroes. Werecat and Scarlet Spider." Kaiden said beaming a bit and seemed rather proud at the fact. Once he was done he put the dishes in the sink to go wake up his brother and get ready.
