PERSONALITY Alaric has been described as a 'bad child' or one who can't be adopted, however this was quickly disproved this, when Tony Stark and Jamie Starflame arrived at his orphanage. He is known to cause tricks, pranks, or some times bully the other kids. But after a firm hand from Tony the boy managed to calm down and was put in his place. None of the members at the orphanage were able to do this until the married couple came. When you get to know Alaric he really isn't a bad kid, perhaps the terms used to describe him are "Misunderstood" or even not accepted to a degree. He has his thoughts in the right direction and usually he can understand when he has done something wrong. He'd never dive down to the level of being a criminal or even to kill someone, especially at his young age. Alaric has been known to have an interest in technology, he has taken apart objects before and put them back together without much of a problem at all. He seems to like draw a lot with just about anything, crayons, a pencil or even paper. He has looked up at Tony Stark and Jamie as his first true family. Tony's own father, or Alaric's and Bobby's grandfather has tried to make up for the strained relationship that he had with his own father so he wouldn't ignore his kids like Tony had with Howard. He has whipped his work day clean on many occasions to stay with Alaric and Bobby so they get to know him more. Alaric enjoys the time they spend together and is glad that they got their own room finally. Alaric has also admired his mother who has similar fire powers of his own, making him feel that he isn't alone anymore when he was in the orphanage, his brother however he isn't so sure about just yet. HISTORY Family Tree: Biological Mother: Deceased/Missing Adopted Father: Anthony Stark/Iron man Adopted Mother: Jamie Starflame Adopted Uncle: Arno Stark Adopted Brother: Bobby Stark Adopted Paternal Grandfather: Howard Stark (Deceased) Adopted Paternal Grandmother: Maria Stark (Deceased) Despite Alaric's short time living he has already been through torment and pain in his past. When his mother became pregnant she wanted to keep the baby but after her parents found out they quickly said no to it. The baby was born and they removed them before the mother could even hold him in her arms, but one request was made so the baby could have a name and it'd be Alaric. Alaric was then transferred off to an orphanage in Albany, New York where he learned that this would be his home for the next five years. While Alaric was about four years old he quickly discovered his powers of fire. At first they were nothing but quick sparks or ashes that appeared from his hands. One day he even accidentally set the lawn on fire which caused the fire fighters to come to put out the flames. No body knew it at first that the boy was the cause for the flames. They thought someone had thrown a cigarrette out and into the grass or even lit it with a match. However the 'owner' of the orphanage quickly found out it was Alaric and he was sent to the 'punishment' room which would be like a second home to him. The boy would be in and out for causing mischevious deeds or even tricking other kids who were just as less fortunate. He didn't really get the chance to have a friend or family there of his own because of his bad behavior all the time. Alaric also has an interest in electronics, for instance he took apart a radio but putting it back together again took some time it took him almost a week or so to put it back before the owner found out again and to top it all off it worked. However things would change one day for the boy as he was coming out of the punishment room once more two other folks came in who were looking to adopt a child there. After spotting Alaric Tony saw the objects that Alaric had been working on in his room that had been electronics he was fixing for other kids or taking them apart again. After seeing this and talking to Alaric they found their second boy and adopted him. Alaric's full name now became Alaric Howard Stark. Powers Fire Manipulation: Alaric's main power is fire manipulation where he is able to create flames. He inherited these powers at birth, it appears someone down his biological side had fire powers in their past and gave it to Alaric. In this case the boy is a Mutant. The hottest he's ever been able to go at this point is about 1,000 degrees with a purple and reddish flame from his hands. The hot plasma has formed in his hands as he is able to manipulate the flames with his will and can create various shapes, some less complicated ones include balls, flames, jets, or even a short stream. When he is older he can create complicated flame designs like writing his name or even creating a dragon in the flames. One problem with his fire powers is that he has often caught his pants or clothing on fire which leads to a source of embarassment for him later on. Flame resistant: After building a tolerance for flames and heat, Alaric has discovered that he can survive flames and fire for a degree of time without suffering from it. It is true that some very powerful flames can cause damage or even kill Alaric if he isn't careful. So far it is known he can survive up to about 1,000 degree heat or even two degree burns for the most part. Weaknesses: Water: Water is usually the number one weakness for Alaric with his fire manipulation. He has now developed a disliking for it and will go to avoid it. Even the rain out side will cause his fire to steam up and become weaker at times. He doesn't care much for swimming out side or being in wet areas since his flames will dampen to almost nothing. Fire extinguishers: They do the same to fires on houses or even homes, it'll put out the fire that Alaric has with the retardant that is in the chemicals. Pyro Maniac: Although his fascination of fire is clear, Alaric Stark has been known to set several fires off without an explanation on how it happened. He has believed in some cases that he likes fire too much or it is in the realm that he can't control it.
