At Avengers Tower the building was pretty quiet for the afternoon. A few had stayed behind while others had gone home or visited family or loved ones. To Tony this place was home, he didn't know of any other place in the world that would take all of his needs. He helped supply the funds and bills that were here with his money and to add to it the recent disaster that was his and Jamie's wedding at the cathedral. Luckily the repairing of the cathedral was going swiftly. he blamed himself, and he was sure that Jamie had shared the same guilt that he had. He was at his desk in his office as he watched the computer screen go by of his stocks and money inventory. Seeing that all was well he closed the page and logged off his computer where it said Avengers on it. A couple of pictures appeared on it like a screen saver as they showed friends and members of the Avengers he had come to know well. All of them at this point had a family of their own, and he was proud of how far they had grown. One of the newest things he had added were the pictures at the wedding, despite it being such an awful event, he wasn't going to put that down and into a box. He was proud that he and Jamie had gotten married after all.
"Hm I wonder even if in our old age we'll still have kids? I suppose we can adopt a few if it doesn't work out." Tony wondered to himself as he brought out his phone wondering if he wanted to text Jamie to see if she was interested in doing anything. 'Heay Jamie are you free? You can find me in my office, I'm cleaning up for the night.' He sent the message before removing any papers and shredding them seeing that they weren't needed anymore.
"Jarvis can you unlock the door for Jamie to come in when she's here? She's always welcome here." Tony said as he heard a familiar "Yes sir." From the british AI system that he had come to know so well. Tony had been recovering still from the incident, the doctors had said that he needed to take it easy on being a super hero. But he figured, a few weeks had gone by, things should be just fine now. Not to mention his extremis virus had done a lot now to help him recover. One thing that had bothered him during the wedding was something he had seen in the camera shots. He saw someone familiar there...was Arno a witness to everything that had happened? He was almost certain of it that was the man he met out in the west coast. But he hadn't had any contact with him since the accidental trip he had out that way. "Hm." He said crossing his arms watching the picture go by. He couldn't help but have a sense of familiarity with him and it bugged him. You'd think a smart man like him would be able to figure it out. But he couldn't. And that would gnaw at him for some time.
Finally he turned his laptop back on as he clicked on the internet button, he typed a search in on his father, the first Mister Stark, but the usual things came up about owning Stark Tower now known as Avengers Tower. Perhaps this familiarity that he was looking at and thought of was just a false idea he had. Perhaps there was nothing there at all. "I guess I was wrong." He said as he turned realizing that he thought he heard someone at the door. Perhaps it was Jamie.

The event had caused to double think herself and she knew that had to be careful she had lost control of her rage and caused most of the damage.The fact was she wanted to share some of the payment for the disaster cathedral because she felt just as much guilt as Tony.She didn't like to open up to most people because she didn't want people to think she is being overdramatic or something.Jamie actually knew that team cared about her and always tell her that she call talk to them anytime she needed but felt that personal moments are too be kept that way
When he called her she was in her training session she had been working herself really hard since the event she was in a odd mental state at moment all she wanted to able to protect people.She has been asked if she was alright and she will just tell them she was fine and refuse to rest when asked she looked really tired almost like she was going to fall over.
The Training session she had set was pretty high the level that Captain America usually use which was difficult level for most people.She was dodging laser shoots suddenly heard her before she answer dodged one more blast even though the laser wouldn't have burnt her she decided make sure she wasn't stunned into submission " Computer stop program "She took her phone from her pocket and looked towards seeing that Tony was calling her and she was actually wanting to do something else now because its what she needs right now. She wanted to train herself order to help fight that Victor and the people who call themselves the Dark Avengers she wanted to make sure she was able to help the team.
She read his text and smiled little bit towards it and then answered " yea I will be right there "She took off her training gear and then hung it back up on the wall and then went towards Tony's office and knocked when she was allowed inside.She actually though about having children even adopting a few if she could.She didn't if at her age that the child she would have be ok. She was actually happy to see Tony although see each all the time but she took every moment she saw as if it could be the last one."hello Tony whats going on "when she was greeted she walked behind him kissed him on the cheek.
"Heay there Jamie." Tony said as he greeted her as he heard the door opened. He looked up as he saw her and gave her a soft smile, "I was doing some searches on the computer, I noticed in one of the wedding photos that someone named Arno Carbonell was in there, I didn't find much in there...it's odd that he didn't say anything to us before the wedding went on. He had his chances." Tony said. "And the other thing, I can't help but have this feeling of familiarity around him. Well...I didn't find anything on the internet, I think I'm just searching for answers that aren't there." Tony explained as he closed the internet that he was on. It wasn't long before the screen saver appeared again seeing that he was done with his work.
"How are you, Jamie? Are you alright since the last time I last saw you?" Tony asked hoping to change the subject. He quickly packed a few things, and his famous Ironman Armor was sitting on his desk as well. It was the same one that had been at the cathedral. It had been scorched in a couple of places, but it came out relatively unharmed in the accident of the wedding. "I also got my iron man armor repaired, it's almost as good as new at this point." He said as he put it on his desk knowing it was the very emblem of his Iron man super hero persona.
He was ready to go at this point since he had packed a few things if he wanted to get out of the office. His phone was there, iron man suit and all the things he wanted to do that afternoon were all set. If anything else showed up, he asked jarvis to let him know in case he wanted to get back here quickly. For now, he wanted to spend time with Jamie. He also went up to her and gave her a soft kiss on the cheek. It actually felt good to do something like that. He was glad he no longer had to hide it or show some embarrassment in front of the others.
Still he wondered who'd get married next? The rumors spread far and wide on who would be the next wedded super heroes. One of them went all the way to Scarlet Spider, which he found so hard to believe since the hero was pretty much non trusting towards others he didn't know. "Also do you want to go somewhere else and talk? I'm kind of tired of my office, I've been here since about 8:00am this morning." Tony offered wondering if Jamie would like that.

Jamie was not feeling all that well but she was going to lie like hell to him .she felt kind odd that they didn't have a children after all the time they spend on their relationship.She tries her best to smile towards him because she didn't want him to worry about her and there are much better things that need to worry about than their personal lives although she married and can tell him anything she actually worried about him sometimes" I am alright Tony " She said quite plainly if someone looked at she looked like she was been training quite harder than necessary.
she even had burn marks on her clothing but not on her skin since she can't actually burn.She was actually been pushing herself really hard and has been scolded by the team doctor since she has injured herself a few times.She didn't feel like she needed to slow down just because she was a bit older she wanted to keep herself in peak condition since she wanted to still be a great heroine and asset to the team to keep up with the younger members.
she thought about this question really but she decided to ask about it "you know Tony what do you think of use having children I been thinking about its about time "She wanted to see what had to say at matter she knew that if they had children at their age there could be problems.She was actualing thinking of going for adoption the local Orphanag might be just another Choice if he agrees to it.
Tony nodded he knew better than to press her over situations like that. But Jamie was always welcome to talk to him if there was a situation or a problem at hand. "That's good Jamie." He said not registering right away that she might not be telling the truth, he knew he had done lies in the past. But they were little ones he didn't want her to worry when he was as Ironman and that had been such a tough job. Now however he wouldn't let that bother him the past was in the past.
Tony rose his right eye as he heard her speak up about adopting a child. He had always liked the idea of having kids and so he nodded to that as if to say yes. "Yes Jamie I like the idea very much. How many should we adopt? I know of what it's like to be the lonely child, I felt alone so often...so maybe at least adopting two?" Tony asked.
"And we can go as soon as your ready, I can drive us to the closest orphanage. I'm done for today I wanted to stop work early just to do something different." Tony said knowing he needed just the co ordinates for it on his phone and that could lead the way. At most it may be less than an hour drive. But for all he knew they'd be coming home with two new kids. Their lives would change forever once they were in the stark family and apart of the avengers. There was no denying that. Not to mention his will would have to change so at least both the kids got something if Tony would ever pass away suddenly that was always the risk. But he planned to stick around for some time, maybe he'd retire first and hand down the Stark company to the kids. Whoever they were, they would meet them soon.
It had been cold out these last couple of weeks, old man winter was knocking on their doorsteps, and there had even talk of snow in the forecast. Alaric didn't care much for snow, he perferred the heat and the hot summer days, so this was out of his idea of fun weather. He sat on the front porch watching some of the kids as they were playing as he was listening to some music that he had just recently gotten. It was mostly rock and roll and other various music that he liked to play, sometimes it drowned out the life that he was living of this unhappy way of the orphanage. He honestly felt forgotten like no body wanted him. To feel abandoned was probably the worst thing to feel in someone's young life.
And to think his thirteenth birthday was coming up, he doubted the 'warden' of this place would remember something like that and give him a proper birthday. Which was fine with him. That was when Alaric turned as he saw a rather fancy looking car come up into the drive way, it was a bit ways off in the woods but Alaric could see it pretty obvious. It wasn't the 'warden's car but someone's car that was unfamiliar to him. As it got closer and closer it parked in the visitor's lot as the car was shut off he could see that a man and a woman were in the car, probably a married couple who was coming to look at the kids there.
He quickly took out his phone knowing Bobby may want to hear about this, "Bobby there are two new people arriving that are probably looking to adopt kids. Maybe today is our lucky day? One of us will get adopted." He sent the text over as he watched the people as they started to approach the 'warden's building. This was going to get interesting, but he knew not to get too close. He knew that there was a bit of a problem of causing accidents, and as usual the karma set in to where he wouldn't get adopted. But he had no idea how wrong he was right there.
Bobby was there on his bed just relaxing today because he didn't actually have much going on with him right now. The life at orphanage wasn't great and what they had is what they have to buy themselves just like the cell phones and other electrics that they have. He didn't like living in the orphanage and will be grateful.The day became actually pretty great when he met Alaric and ever since they became very close and and they even had gotten in trouble together he even takes the blame for the stuff they do.
He stepped towards his window and saw the fancy car and smiled that usually meant something good but he had no clue that those people could the best the ones to finally take him and his best friend away from this hell.When he heard his phone buzzed and then he looked towards and to see his best friend had texted him about something and he read and smiled widely and then responds" That if they decide on just one of us I will make sure they take us both"He would never let anyone separate them become Alaric was like the brother he never had.

Jamie was smiling as she followed Tony to the caretaker office she thought it was going to be great to have kid around.She would comment about the fact they are getting some lonely children.She listened that Tony and then said" I think that is a great idea "She wanted Tony to speak the caretaker since she didn't know how to do this.When she was young she never had an actual mother or father since she was created inside lab and made to be nothing but a solider but that is something that she just hardly speaks about.
The story ends that she and her handler escaped the lab and lived of the in hiding for quite awhile before she decided become a hero and join the avengers.They were getting a lot of attention with her being a Rock star and Tony being famous for who he was the children in the place were watching at the doorway. The caretaker sorting papers not really realizing that two people were inside of his office at this moment.
Tony and Jamie approached the caretaker's office seeing that the man was away from his desk. He came over ringing the bell to see if that would get someone's attention. Finally it did as the man came out he looked scruffy, and had a decent sized beard on with some grey hairs growing in. He had to at least be fifty or so from his age and had lost a bit of weight, perhaps the job had been a bit rough on him just like anything else. "Yes what can I help you with?" He asked noticing Tony and Jamie, he recognized at least one of them with a bit of surprise.
"Well isn't it obvious? We're here to adopt a kid or two from this place. You were the care taker of this place, right?" Tony asked.
"Of course let me pull out the papers and call out some kids." The caretaker said with surprise on his face. He went over to the radio that was in all the rooms so the boys and girls could be heard. "Alaric and Bobby come to the main office at once!" His voice was loud as it made even Tony stiffen. It brought flash backs of Tony from the beginning when his father would use such a commanding voice like that, it was some time ago since he had thought of that. "Well then I guess we'll look over the papers, is that alright with you, Jamie?" Tony asked as he saw one of the boys starting to come in who had dark black hair like his own.
Alaric got the message back from Bobby a couple of minutes later, it didn't take long for him to send it and that surprised him. It did give him a smile on his face. There was a bit of hope that they'd get out of there. Alaric could hear the guy as he talked towards Tony and Jamie it sounded like a bit of an awkward conversation between the three of them at first, he didn't blame him. The old warden seemed like he wasn't at all interested, then again he'd be able to get a kid or two out of there. He typed back to Bobby rather quickly, "Thanks Bobby I'm glad you have my side. I'll have your back like I did on the first day we met." He added and just as he sent it on his phone he heard the warden's voice over the speakers.
"Goodness that man's voice is as loud as ever." He said to himself before putting his phone and ear buds in his pocket. That was when he walked out side and knocked on the room that Bobby was in, "Bobby get out here now!" He called out hoping that Bobby hadn't fallen asleep or anything.
He walked through the door towards the warden and was taken aback as he saw that Tony Stark was there and so was Jamie Starflame. He knew the both of them but never once expected them to be at their doorstep. "Uh I know you guys. You're Tony Stark and your Jamie Starflame." He admitted. "I've heard your music before it's good." Alaric said giving a soft remark to Jamie as he hoped that Bobby would hurry up. He almost had his hand on his phone thinking of calling him after this. There had to be some weird dream that he was going to wake up to soon.
Bobby smiled little bit and he looked towards his phone seeing that he would do the same for him at anytime. He heard caretaker voice over the loud speaker and sighed little and cringed usually when they are both called they did something wrong.He really didn't come running but he knew if he didn't there would be bigger trouble and asides he won't be there to defend Alaric which he was always there.
When he heard Alaric knocking on his door before he could come on his own and he answered his down right away when he heard it was Alaric" alright we better get that office " He followed behind his friend and allowed him to go inside first and came in next.He saw two people and one them was Tony Stark his one and only idol who was also the and The Rock Star Jamie Starflame and he stared towards him speechless that he couldn't speak.He was going to let his friend do the talking.
Jamie nodded little bit and took some the paperwork and looked over she was focused n it and signing where it was needed. She then looked as the black haired boy named Alaric had came in first along with another boy with the same color as hers.The Blond didn't talk when Alaric commented her on her music and appeared to be a fan she just smiled towards him and then said" Well Thanks kid me and Tony are we to give you and your friend here a new home" She decided to go straight to the point and Bobby actually looked really delighted but he still couldn't say anything.
That was when Alaric also got taken aback by what Jamie said. It sounded like she wanted to adopt the two right off the bat. Was that even possible? He looked back seeing Bobby arrived in time as the Warden saw the both of them came at a decent time and weren't holding up things. "Yes I have heard most of your songs you're very good." Alaric said with a soft nod. "Also my name is Alaric this is my friend Bobby." Alaric admitted as he introduced himself and Bobby at the same time.
"Are you sure? Many families have come by and chose not to adopt us, that is always bad news." He said knowing it put a damper on it as Tony shook his head seeing that the two boys had potential. Turning them down probably had been hard on them both times for the kids when they tried to find homes.
"I think Jamie's right. Do you want to come with us to Stark Tower? You will have your own rooms and everything there." Tony said. "We're adopting you no avoiding it now." Tony pointed out as Alaric gave Bobby a stunned look. Were they really going to Stark Tower after all of this.
"There are some things you should know." The warden said. "That boy is a mutant he likes starting fires for no reason at all. I can't tell you how many times the fire engines have come to put out those fires." THe warden said as Alaric gave out a huff. "Big deal I'm sure there are other people who have odd powers too." Bobby said as he snapped his fingers a fire appeared out of his hands for a bit before it disappeared and turned to small embers but they quickly went out before they touched the ground.
