Talia Josephine Wagner
PERSONALITY Talia is better described as taking more after her mother Scarlet Witch than her father Nightcrawler. She is a young mutant full of spunk and shows quite a bit of sass and attitude very much like her mother. This attitude is best seen in her almost rebellious, vocal nature which extends into her wardrobe and interactions, not being above making a remark that might more than likely get her into a spat or playful banter. She is fairly out-going and energetic, seeming full of energy that never ends and doesn't mind being something of a show off from time to time with her acrobatic skills and fighting prowess. At the same time, Talia is also laid-back and easy-going, something more akin to what her gather Nightcrawler is like. Just as much as she loves combat and action, she also loves to have a little time to just unwind and take things a bit on the slower side. She has the same strong sense of justice and concern for those who cannot defend themselves and is more than willing to give a helping hand or throw her life on the line when necessary. But, Talia is not above showing anger and a temper, something seen often on her mother's side of the family. Her wrath is swift and can prove to be devastating to those who get caught in the crossfire as she shows little to no mercy for those who anger her or cause harm to others. She is willing to go above and beyond to do what she feels is right and sometimes will take the chance to do something she doesn't like, though usually as a final precaution. She is no fan of unnecessary killing or death but knows sometimes it is required. HISTORY Talia is a young mutant hailing from a very different timeline than this one. She is the only daughter of Scarlet Witch, an Avenger, and Nightcrawler, an X-man, in a different timeline and was raised among the X-men from a young age. Due to her father being a veteran member, she was often trained by him but his harsh regimen and strict upbringing caused a lot of tension during the time she grew up in her home timeline. Her and Kurt began to become at odds with one another despite Talia becoming exceptionally skilled enough to become a full-time member of the X-men at a young age, her physical mutations being her main powers for much of her life. To be with her mother was very different and something she enjoyed. It was Wanda who she connected with the most and who helped to mediate Talia and her father so they maintained something of a relationship. But it was from her mother's own experiences that Talia drew inspiration from and became more like her mother, even to the point of having a more rebellious, out-going side that frustrated her father who was very much a religious man in this reality. Her teenage years were filled with her doing her usual duties, school, and taking part in a band known as the Butt Monkeys for sometime before she turned seventeen and things changed. During a mission, Talia was suddenly snatched up by someone known as the Timebroker, having her join their Exiles team to help maintain the time stream and prevent major casualties in different timelines. Though not enthused in being forced to do so, she otherwise agreed under unknown circumstances to what would happen if she didn't and remained with them for a few years, helping to stop several disasters and issues along the way. During those times, Nocturne became a valuable member to the team but never took a leadership role and became romantically involved with fellow Exile Thunderbird or John Proudstar of another reality. After three years however, Nocturne ended up separated from the Exiles in a time jump gone wrong, being sent to an unknown universe which happened to be this one, landing in the courtyard of the X-men Mansion. Utterly confused, she met the X-men of this reality and tried to explain her situation, coming to find out her father was alive here but had his own wife and family, coming to meet his wife, TJ, and Cerise. Shocked at this turn of events, she has been trying to adjust until she can figure out how to return to her team while at the same time trying to build a relationship with her current family. Powers Superhuman Agility/Reflexes: Talia's balance, coordination, and agility are far beyond the human athlete, allowing for greater flexibility and correcting herself, helped further by her three foot prehensile tail which is also retractable. Her reaction time is likewise greater to the point she can dodge most things from a short few feet away. Micro-Suction Discs: Like her father before her, Talia has natural micro-suction discs on her hand and feet in which she can use to cling to surfaces. Night vision: Talia can see in the infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum, giving her the ability to see in darkness as perfectly as she would during the day. Telepathy: Talia's telepathy is a low level telepath who can communicate with others and project her thoughts, being able to read others as well. This is a seldom used ability but she does use it when needed. +Body Possession: Talia is capable of extending her consciousness to possess someone else for up to twelve hours or a single lunar cycle. When she does leave their body she leaves someone dazed or comatose for 24 hours. Brimstone Hex-Bolts: Inherited from her mother, Talia can tap into the Brimstone dimension to fire bolts of explosive energy, which radiate a dark blue and smell of brimstone. These explosions are equal to a small grenade and do not cause any changes in probability. Weaknesses +Still Human: Considering her origins, Nocturne is still in a sense human. Which means she can easily be taken out by serious or near-fatal injuries, become ill, or anything else that can affect the human body. +Stubborn/Head strong: Unfortunately, Nocturne didn't inherit her father's tendency to err on the side of caution. In fact, she is quite stubborn and does things her way, often leaping head first or not always thinking things through. She will willingly take risks at the cost of her life or safety, which she has done many times during her tenure with the Exiles and X-men of her homeworld. +Power Preference: Nocturne doesn't really use all her powers. In fact, she seems to stick to her hex-bolts and physical capabilities alongside strategy over using all her powers. This is mostly due to the fact of how draining her body possession is and the side effects it brings to another, making her reluctant to use them and her telepathy she often forgets about due to how rarely she needs it. +Hex-Bolts: Despite their name, Talia's hex bolts are simply energy attacks she can vary in potency and power. They do not change the probability of a situation or events, but rather simply tap into the power of the Brimstone dimension. Someone who controls energy are also unlikely to be affected or not nearly as much. +Workaholic: Despite Nocturne's sense of adventure and attempts to be more out going than her family, she can sometimes push herself a little too far. This comes from a long standing need to be certain she lives up to her potential even when she is not within range of her father, sometimes feeling a need to prove she is as good as an X-man as he was or better.
