It's Time for the Weekend (Katherine)

It was a decent day, sun was still high with hardly any clouds. There were hardly any sign of anything bad going on, that was the way Kaine had liked them. He had left work early and dismissed the kids from his schooling job before loading them with some homework, which he knew he wouldn't like, but it came with the part of being a SHIELD member. Kaine had also felt the heavy burden of work when he was younger, and didn't like it. But he knew the kids would do good once their hearts were set in the right place. "Now time to visit Katherine." He said knowing that Katherine was probably busy at work. He had set a baby sitter with the kids Kaiden and Kade, May was a very good person with children so he trusted her, and he payed her well for it.

As Kaine sat on the edge of the SHIELD hellicarrier he sent one of his webs down further to the ground to the buildings and swing forward with all of his might, careful not to get near the engines of the hellicarrier unless he wanted to get caught in the engines. Once he was past that it was pretty much free web slinging. Kaine figured he could wait for her at work until she got out of it since he was done now. It was later in the afternoon, probably closer to five o' clock.

Once he found where Katherine's work place was he landed, and quickly took off his Scarlet Spider suit before returning to his normal civillian form so no one would be attracted to him and he'd be safe for now. "Katherine I'm nearby your work come find me at some of the benches." He texted her as he arrived and sat down at one of the side street benches. She couldn't miss him with his red jacket that he always wore and a black suit. It sort of matched his spider suit costume a little bit at the same time it didn't. He couldn't help but watch the traffic go by as he waited, hoping that Katherine would be alright with meeting him here. They could go get dinner out and bring some back so they could eat tomorrow, since tomorrow was the start of the weekend.

He was also a bit nervous at the same time in this. In his pocket, safely kept in a small box was something very special to him. It had taken a lot of money but he had managed to do it after all this time. He opened it carefully as it showed a diamond. "Katherine will be surprised." He said softly before putting it away before anyone saw it. He knew he'd be a target but they better think twice about it.

Katherine was just getting done with her classes and was getting ready to relax in the school yard as she climbed on top of treetop and curled her tail around herself. She was just about to call her boyfriend of ten years and her got a text from him and she looked towards it and kind of grinned towards it and then responds to it" " I will be right there in few moments." She then jumped down from the tree slipping down from it. She then goes to her room and to get some fresh clothing wearing jeans and green t-shirt that says I love nerds and jeans.

She was wanting to go out to see him anyways and she changed to her civilian appearance before she left to go.She decided to just walk towards her destination since he is probably close by.When she saw him and she walked right over towards him and greeted to him with a smiled on her face " hello Kaine dear " She pulled him to a hug and kissed him on cheek.She and him very close she was just like him when it came to people touching her she had some kind of problem with it she only ever let Kaine touch her or someone she is really close to her.

Kaine looked down seeing the message that Katherine would arrive there soon so he didn't mind waiting. Not once to his luck and surprise that his spidey sense went off, usually that was something he dreaded. But he looked up seeing a familiar face and a woman with white hair come forward as he smiled glad to see that she had made it safely. She came over hugging him tightly and he was careful not to drop the box that had the special gift in it for her. "Heay Katherine, how are things going?" He asked. But he felt nervous now and she could probably notice that as he hugged her back.

It was odd and rare for him to be nervous, his Scarlet Spider side was probably laughing at him right now but he knew those were human emotions they all felt. "I should just cut to the chase." He said as he took out a box and knelt down on one knee. "Katherine, I know this was probably long over due but I think it should be done now." He said as he opened it showing a shiny new diamond ring that was probably a couple of karats in it. "Katherine you're my light in the darkness, my love and as well as my close friend. So now I think it's time if we sealed our fates together in to two...Will you marry me?" He asked wondering if she really would say yes to this. He felt very happy and excited, now the kids Kade and Kaiden would have a true family.

Katherine looked towards him watched him go on one knee in front she couldn't believe this was happening this was very long overdue she looked forward this for the longest time.The time was actually great as she placed her hands together in happiness she didn't actually talk about her love life with her fellow x-men but when asked she would constantly talk about Kaine and how he was the best person in world.

She would on occasion take the kids to saw the others in school and she spoiled them and bought them plenty of toys and gave them a lot of love and attention.The moment was what a lot of woman have dreamed of and being with person she loved forever sounded pretty good for her.She speaks in very happy voice "Yes YEs Kaine I will marry you!!!" She puts out her hand for him to put the ring on her finger and puts her arms around his shoulders and kissed him pressing her furry body against him.

"I'm glad you approve, Katherine...To tight though I'll forgive you this time around." Kaine said remembering that he didn't like hugs all that much. Katherine however was an exception this time. He knew they would have to tell the boys the exciting news, heck maybe the both of them could be ring bearers in it. It'd be interesting as he smiled back at Katherine and finally gave in to hug her.

"So I was thinking how about we get some dinner and tell the boys the news? They're being baby sat by May at the moment." Kaine said with a chuckle as he kept close to Katherine. He didn't mind her fur either since it was so warm. Luckily he didn't care if anyone saw them enjoying this moment. He just wanted Katherine to be happy. That was all that mattered right now. Even though he wouldn't admit it either, he was happy too. In fact he realized this was the first time in a long time that he actually was happy about something. he was actually glad that he found a bit of light in his hard life and so did Katherine. "So do you want to get dinner? I skipped lunch today since I was so busy with all the work I did, and I'm hungry." Kaine offered wondering if she'd like that idea.

Katherine just smiled little bit towards him she was very happy not caring what he just said about the tightness of her hug.She just nodded little bit as he told her he was going to tell the kids and she knew they would like that.The fact was they were going officially be able to be called a family since they now decided marry each other it going only get better then anything in this world" Yes lets tell the boys they will be happy about that"She was very cheerful at moment but wanted some more alone time with Kaine while the boys are with May if Kaine trusted her then she trusted her to keep the children safe.She wanted the best for them and wanted them to have the best the world could handle although there is still some very bigoted people that probably try to harm them or use them if they found out about their powers she will never let that happen.

She hasn't really talked to the other members Parker family all that much expect when Kaine introduce her to them they seem like really great people although Peter can be somewhat irritating with his quips and jokes but she handles them.She didn't actually have any lunch either and she was actually really hungry as well" yes lets go to dinner so where are we going :

Kaine was also happy despite the protesting he might've been doing. The Diamond was for Katherine's and it was only for her. He was glad they were finally able to agree on getting married, there were lots of things that needed to be planned which would no doubt stress him out. Kaine knew that they would probably have close friends and family members there to help them out and invite to the party. He didn't want a gigantic one like how Tony and Jamie had.

"Yes we can tell them when they get home, I'm sure they're giving May some excitement. She hasn't texted back anything bad has happened there, so that's a good sign." Kaine said with a chuckle knowing the boys could be a handful for even one person. "How about we go to an Italian restaurant. I think it was called Antonio's Pizza, I saw it while I was web slinging here earlier." Kaine offered as he pointed a finger down to the street on where it had been. As Katherine hugged him tightly he still had his Scarlet Spider suit on underneath his shirt and pants. He just hoped that he wouldn't have to use it while he was out with Katherine and hoped that they could enjoy a peaceful afternoon and evening.
